It is hard to believe that paper money could disappear in future, digital currency though becoming popular and attractive to people every time passed, it can still give the simplicity and ease of financial transaction that paper money offers.

Well if bitcoin would replace the paper money then it will be subjected to tax.  I do not think paper money will be gone since not all people are using bitcoin.  Some still do not know what is bitcoin and how to transact using this cryptocurrency.  So paper money will still exist in some part of the world even if bitcoin will be used by other countries.

I think that paper money don't have the place in the future. We will pay by cards, by our smartphones.

Digital money and cryptocurrency become the biggest threat to paper money, I'm sure that paper money can only last 50 years from now, in addition to the high cost of printing, distribution to supervision, paper money is also too easily falsified.
I do not think so, you should look directly at the reality, the number of people using paper money is very large, it was a habit and it brought convenience to a lot of people while digital money although it is very modern, but the number of people who know and use it is still too low. Proving the existence of paper money is still very important, it can not disappear because it has so many useful things for the user, things that cryptocurrency or digital can not bring, it always plays a very important role, so it will certainly last very long

I like paper money. I like to feel the buying power in my hands :p Bitcoin makes me feel like a robot. I am not saying paper money is better tho.
Many people now prefer to use paper money instead of electronic money to pay, in my country is not a well-developed country regarding social as well as economic, in my state, there are many participants. Investors in the virtual currency market because they are very profitable, I think the coming years my country will mainly use digital money instead of paper money.

I am sure that the future of paper money will continue to survive, this is because of the state guarantee of paper money, and of course for transactions do not need to rely on internet because the weakness of digital money and cryptocurrency is internet dependent whereas paper money does not need internet.

As an economics professor and economic expert here at About.com, I personally don't think paper money will completely disappear any time in the near future.

No matter how promising bitcoin is, no matter how many people have been successful because of it, no matter how great its characteristics are, we can not say that bitcoin can replace money in a fast period of time. The acceptance rate of bitcoin is fast, but not large enough to cover all people in general. It is good to think of bitcoin as a face of the future, there may be another that will base on bitcoin that can be more stable and be accepted by all.

I think it is easy to know that paper money will be gone in future,  as even now, people uses credit cards more than paper money because it is easier to pay for something. A lot of people using cards for shoping, another payment etc.. paper money now is not so actual.

Paper money represent just a period in the evolution of money, from middle age to our days.
For sure, it will evolve toward and electronic form; the real question is: will be this form decentralized (that means freedom) or centralized (that means absolute control by governments)?
We'll see, I think there will be a bloody war.

In my opinion it is really good for real life and also good for fair deals. I think cash will exist always in different forms but it will never die.

Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:

Paper money will be banned entirely?
How long do you think that happens?
would it work?
What security and privacy risks would it raise?
And how would public and privately issued monies interact?

I think that with the time paper money will disappear. Appearance of plastic cards was the first step toward creation digital financial system for ordinary people. Now we meet with the digital money which can be provided without banks.

Precisely, that is the reason I accept in spite of the fact that later on the pattern will be on the web or advanced cash yet at the same time larger part of the general population

Are utilizing paper cash since it's simpler and it's difficult to instruct individuals to utilize online money.

This will just give us another alternative for exchange and computerized money truly help as the world is moving quickly these days.

If it's something made by the government or by banks then you should definitly know that it won't be private and they will have control of everything just like the banks right , nothing much will change .
and for what comes to the Paper money I don't think it will dissapaear , maybe on some countries yes but worldwide ?definitly not because some countries don't even use Credit cards for their transactions so ... yep
Paper money has been around for a long time, so it is difficult to use paper money because many people nowadays do not know how to use the technology as well as how to pay electronically. In my life, in my opinion, in the next 50 years in the world, there will be a payment method with more modern devices instead of cash.

It is difficult to keep paper money for a long time, as we know that today many countries are preparing digital money to replace paper money so as to make the use of paper money continue to decline.

Well, I think paper money won't be banned in the near future.
Though digital currency is more convenient than paper money, paper money has it's advantages. (Such as safer. Digital currency has the risk of being hacked. However, as long as you be careful of your paper money, it is difficult for others to steal.)
But we never know what will happen. Maybe someday we will find out a way to protect our digital money. When the technique is reliable, who knows, maybe one day paper money will be replaced.
