I think Paper money is more important and will be there however the digitization has started to take place. Everywhere there will be some people who don't have interest over the digitization.

The future of the paper money will not be very good but most likely also not very bad because its will always be used.
As a example elderly will always use paper money no matter what if your asking me.

What are your thoughts? How can you say that the future of paper will not be very good? Share it and let's discuss.

Also it will surely always be used even for centuries, even only not for the old folks.

Thats the truth. For it is the easiest eay to trade things. Plus you are holding it in your hands. We people are more on things that we can see and hold. We dont believe much in the unseen.

If bitcoin gains physical form then it can give tough competition to paper money in future as people have more faith in something that they can hold physically.

That is impossible that bitcoin is going to be on a physical form, then it is going to be fiat at all. No bitcoin is going to be digital at all.
That's the characteristic of bitcoin, is by a digital form.
I hope people will going to adopt bitcoin also but still the future of paper money is going to be the same at all.
It should be digital because it is bitcoin that is known for and because it is digital it would be easy and faster to use it in transaction online, we should not dream for that to happen as it is impossible for that to occur.

If bitcoin gains physical form then it can give tough competition to paper money in future as people have more faith in something that they can hold physically.

The problem with this is Bitcoin literally cannot exist physically. Bitcoin only exists inside the blockchain, and that itself is only a digital concept. even if you printed a physical instrument and stamped a private key on it, that will have no bearing on ownership because ownership is only transferred inside the blockchain. Whoever has the private key has the power to spend bitcoins, and this makes it impossible to have Bitcoin as a physical currency.
we dont need bitcoins to exist physically in my opinion because it is really easily transferable in my opinion, i guess that paper money will have no future and we wont use it most probably

Paper money will have a good image as is now, people cannot leave paper money because there is no any problem for the people to pay with paper money in their local stores etc.

I don't think the future is going to be good with paper money. People wants to have daily convenience and we can see it with bitcoin.
For sure bitcoin is going to replace paper money soon.
But we can't tell of when it is going to happen.
I feel that the paper money is a very good shape for a transaction tool, and I'm not sure bitcoin will replace it. in fact, paper money has been used since the first, and it is a tool change transactions of coins into paper money. they changed it because I think the coin is very difficult to use. Well, maybe in the future will only be a bitcoin digital currency, and will be shaped card like a credit card.

The concept of money predates the use of paper money. Paper money is just the current most popular medium of exchange. Without paper fiat, money still exists because money is a concept that can be manifested in many different types of instruments.

Although the things bitcoin fans are saying about paper money, I think it will remain somewhat part of people's financial worlds, it's far more comfortable for physical transactions too
Paper will make the transactions more faster because you don't need to log on to your computer device or cellphone just to transact. At least in time of calamity when their is power breakdown we have something to use to continue to transact.
Don't expect that that's always be the case because if the time comes that will be on the generation where robot is already a norm then you should not expect a person giving a paper into another person, they will probably just use a swipe card for every transaction.

I like paper money. I like to feel the buying power in my hands :p Bitcoin makes me feel like a robot. I am not saying paper money is better tho.
I also like the paper money because it makes things much easier, like for example when someone you know needs to lend money from you quick with cash you can just lend that person some money.
If everything was digital you will have to do something online and stuff and transfer money it takes to much time.

Paper money is nice too have but the fact is also that its not secure, you can get robbed easily and transferring can also be done easily right now digitally with all kind of apps.
I think digital is right now coming up and that the paper money will be used less more.

That is a part of development. Rock-Material-coin-paper money nowadays, and maybe e-currencies in the future.
Does a part of development means, destroying everything you’ve got? Maybe no... E currencies like Bitcoin may take the future but paper currencies will also be there, even now a days also we can see the metal coins don't we? So we will surely see the paper money in future..

paper money can never be replaced by e currencies even in future because more payment methods now too are in the form of paper money.

I also feel the power in my hands when I am holding some cash and I do not think that the paper money is going to disappear anytime soon now.
It is going to stay around, some countries are not ready for a big change like this and we do not need to force things.

Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:

Paper money will be banned entirely?
How long do you think that happens?
would it work?
What security and privacy risks would it raise?
And how would public and privately issued monies interact?

t wil be not banned, it will be issued as much as there will be interest. At some point almost none. How long wil take that there will be issued almost none paper money. I would say about 20 years. Maybe more, for sure not less.
The future of the paper money wont be very differend as it is right now because as you need to know papermoney will always be the number one paying method and never been replaced
Because people always need paper to buy things to life from so trust me paper money wont change.

Bitcoin- in bullish time
July 05, 2016, 03:21:19 AM
I think the future of paper money is save as bitcoin has not been popular and implemented in the whole world.
Bitcoin can't be easily get popularity in just few a years because it's a online currency and not all the countries or even medias are supporting it. But i think that this coming event that called halving, it will help a lot for bitcoin because the price will be higher and could easily attract people to get more popularity and possibly gets more adoption from different stores whether it's online or not.
