Well I think paper money is still kicking as of now. In the near future though it is possible that it can be replaced by bitcoin but it will still have value. It is also possible that paper money still rule above bitcoin in the future because it is backed by the bank and the government, and it being replaced by bitcoin narrows down to 20% chance.
I have no doubt that the paper money always will exist, because there are several population groups that don't have access to more advanced alternatives to carry out their financial or commercial exchanges. But of course, this number will gradually decrease and perhaps in a distant future the paper money will disappear.
I think people still use paper money even the digital money like bitcoin or paypal are popular when that day comes. Not every people accepted digital money though.

Are you really sure about the Swedish people? Do you have any proof of your statement or a link to the source? Because I have recently read an article that stated that the paper money will be gone in Sweden because more and more people are tired of paying with paper money.
The future of the paper money is not so good this year but its logical if you ask me because of the fact that everything is going to the digital side.

It's true, it is too early to tell that bitcoins will really dominate in the future. Paper money will still remain in terms value in the future, it can be use by any person with ease so they would prefer to use it. Only of the middle to upper class are capable of using bitcoins but the poor level will stick to using paper money. Totally agree. Those villages that cannot be reached by technology are the hardest part to be included in this good new currency. But that doesnt say that bitcoin will not have a purpose to them that lives there. Example is one relative that wants to send money through the banks that are available in that rural villages. Faster and easier.

Exactly. Some rural areas doesn't have an access to the web even they want to. Typographical locations affect too.
If that is the case, then bitcoin is useless even you owned really great numbers of it.

Paper money will exist and will always be. The reasons maybe: First, The government won't allow something to replace it, especially digital money since they can't control it unless they make one but i doubt people will support any digital money that government will make. Second, Most people will always prefer paper money.
Indeed, because government are corrupt, they want to use the conventional ways to use paper money as it is not hard to trace especially on cash to cash transaction where audit trail cannot be possible, in that way they can hide their shady transactions.

Technically, most money is in the form of plastic bills these days. Plastic is more durable.
Even Britain is looking to shift to plastic money.

Paper money has already been use even before bitcoins or other digital currency, with that fact, people are already get used in using paper money as it is very simple which anybody can easy understand, lots of people are still not into computer world or computer savvy so they would prefer paper money. Digital money and paper money are both good.
