Yeah, I don't see any threat to paper money from bitcoins, as the users of paper money are in huge proportion, comparatively very few people are using bitcoins at present.

You are definitely not seeing this from the bigger picture. Digital currency is basically a threat to the old conventional paper money, as the world is heading toward the cashless society then paper money will surely feels its effect. The world doesnt really need the old conventional paper money anymore because there are alot of cashless form of payment and someday it will be taking its toll towards paper money

It's more then a thread but it will be something that's here for decades. Remember so many people don't even now what online banking is.
Even in western countries. So the future for paper money is that it will be used. Not more, not less.

Yes, it will be always survive, as majority of people don't want to get on online stuff, they find using paper money easy and convenient, they will never complicate their spendings by getting into crypto.

Paper money will ofcourse exist in the future. But you never know what can happen with the digital money and that is quite risky.
I hope that more people will also use some Bitcoin, that will be good for the future, and paper money will always used.

True  i believe there will be a need of for paper money for decades to come. Sure things are getting done mostly online.
But some things can't be done online and for that we need paper money.

Agreed, and the fact is majority of the population believes in spending physically rather then spending it online, as the people who stay away from internet will find it very complicated and will keep on using paper money.

i think paper money will still exist because it takes long time to convert from paper money to digital money.
and there will be many countries that would be difficult to adapt.  Angry

However the technology get advanced, nothing will vanish the use of paper money. Soon use of digital money won't hit the entire world. If it happens also mostly the 1st world countries might adopt it.
you're right, how great was financial technology available on the Internet will probably never be able to make paper money replaced, even bitcoin. I guess banknotes will remain the number one currency in use world community

Yeah that's true, when you consider the current usage of bitcoins only a few millions know about it. When you ask about paper money most will be knowing and using it regularly.

Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:

Paper money will be banned entirely?
How long do you think that happens?
would it work?
What security and privacy risks would it raise?
And how would public and privately issued monies interact?

- no,i dont think papper money will banned, papper money always have "holders" and "lovers"
- no,it will not happen.
- it doesn't work, papper money easier to use for some poor people
- the main risk is mass adopted,it wouldn't spread until poor people on poor countries

Yeah, paper money can never get disappeared, just look at the life span of paper money and compare it to bitcoin, bitcoin is a small baby in front of paper money, paper money will rule the world in long run.

I think paper money it still remains.
Especially for older people, because they do not know how to handle the new money
haha lol yeah This generation will be replaced dude. and banknotes/paper money will start to disappear

Lets be honest though, to see paper money to fail so hard.

Its going to be when I`m dead in my grave and only my grand children will able to see them if I even have off-springs.

American history has proven how much it can take and still be alive.

The future of paper money is safe as I don't see any digital currency replacing paper money, and paper do not have any threat from bitcoins, as people would continue to use paper money even if they have better options available.

That's true paper money don't have any threat from any digital currency, as the majority of the people have habit of holding and using paper money since long time, and it will continue in future too.

Yes, bitcoin will be widely used and accepted in future and that's what we want, we don't either believe that it should replace paper money as it is simply impossible.
