For newbies in the crypto business, you must Know this. make sure you never associate your exchange email with your bounty account.  make this a top priority. i advice hunters to have more than 3 gmail accounts.

The good side of bounties
1; you will definitely make lot of money campaigning for good projects.
2; you might even get rich on the long term if you are a holder of coins and able to detect good projects.

BAD SIDE.

1; whether you like it or now, your social media accounts will receive login threat(someone trying to login to your account from a different location)
2; hackers will also play with emails that was exposed while registering on bounties.

3; if your account is not secured properly, you will lose everything. even your wallet.

Guys i just got HACKED on my hitbtc exchange account.
login location United Kingdom.
i never know u.k have hackers too.

The wrong thing you did is to register your main email account to that bounty. It is not recommended to do that kind of thing because once they get into your email account, your social media accounts or any other important accounts could also get hacked just like what happened to you. Even having an alternate pc or laptop is recommended as well.

I left ICO signature bounty campaign, it's very rewarding in the past, but not anymore, ICO bounty hunting is not attractive anymore, you can wait for a year to get your rewards and another year to wait for it to get value in the market, and surprised that all your stakes are only worth a penny, ICO bounty has become a big joke.

Don't ever give our primary email to bounty and airdrop. This thing i always remember. Because there is nothing wrong if we have 2 emails, 1 for bounties and 1 for primary account like wallet, exchanger, etc.

Hackers break into email and user accounts mainly through phishing links and websites. So you need to look carefully at what you click and where you go, and not to hide your main mail.

Well, there haven't been many good projects over the past one year, so joining bounties can be a waste of time. If the project is good then you have got a good chance of gaining a decent amount of money.

This is the thing I'm afraid of. Email addresses are very exposed when we join a bounty program.
So there is a possibility that our email is stolen or used for a bad thing.

I think the very bad side of bounties today is the fact that ICO projects are involved in it those new projects some of them just turned out to be a scam. So we should do the proper research to prevent working for scammers because in the end, they will not pay you and they will just get the money for their own and abandoned the project.
If it happens that you are so lucky that a good bounty campaign with a good manager then for sure it is your time to make huge wages but that is rare in today's kind of market.

Everything has its good and bad sides. So cryptocurrency is no exception. Bounty campaigns have both good and bad. It has been over three years since I was introduced to cryptocurrency. And it has been two years since I joined bounty campaigns. I have got a profit of some $6000 so far from bounty campaigns. But I have also been scammed. So my advice is just try to be on alert and avoid scammers.

6000 profit is a huge lot of money for bounties. But I know a lot of people got even more doing stupid stuff for bounties. People doing google translate to translate documents and ANN posts,,, people spamming Twitter and FB full of fake followers,,, and they got 10s of thousands of dollars.

They were the scammers, and then they got scammed.

Bounty hunters face a lot of challenges on bounty:
> wasting time on scam campaign
> not get paid after lots of time devoted on the campaign
> tokens not list on exchange or listed on bad exchange
> project been stop when project is almost done
> some that are listed will even drop value more than 70% of the ICO price or the price mentioned in the whitepaper.

This is really challenging,  even scam ICO are really much this days even bounty managers can't really distinguish

The most hurtful part about bounties is not getting paid or the project you wasted time on turned scam ,the problem with bounty projects is they always get listed on bad exchanges

I have no problem using one email address for my bounties and exchange, it's just how you properly secure your account. We all know that hitbtc is a scam exchange, i also got an email that someone login on my account but i just ignored it, my hitbtc account doesn't have any funds and i don't have any intention to use it anymore.
i agree. i m using one email adress too and there was no problems with this . Of course when someone trying to login to my email then i just change pasw.

I think about the bad side, its depending on our self. If we secure our email and social media, i think hackers can not steal our social media account. Hitbtc looks a big exchangers but if your account hacked, better report to support immediately

To avoid the consequences of unwanted, when working with bounty I always create additional mail. There really is a risk of hacking, so I distance myself from my personal accounts. We must remember about possible threats.

Lol.. there a hackers everywhere.. sorry about your lose.. next time don't use your exchange email for bounties and also don't keep your funds on exchanges
Right, hackers are just moving around and waiting for their next target, they have capabilities to  cracked everything if you are not aware of securing your account, it's better to keep you assets inside a safe place and minimize storing it inside  any exchange.

Yes, for some bounty campaigns that are fraud, it is very dangerous to log in to their site with your correct account username and password in other sites or exchanges, they may theft several of the accounts that logged on their sites. I am saying through some bad sides of the bounty projects.

The good sides of the bounties if you find the potential project their token maybe rising up by 50% from the ICO price that could might be you getting rich, the bad sides of the bounties is your personal details will be hack sometimes if you joining in social media.
