The only way for the government to fight this economy problem now is to band any exported goods, since they have ban imported goods, give fertilizer to farmers and fight insecurity in the country, creation of modular refinary, and grant authorizations to them.
Honestly this one of the things to be done to make the economy get improve. One of the thing wey kill the economy of this country na too much importation of goods  and excess printing of naira. Politicians just handle the economy of this country anyhow and the truth be say right now e dey really affect every one of us. If the government really wants to make this country they can do it but they are not ready because their concern is just their personal interest.

Nice one my broda, na this kind post i Dey expect all this days, god bless you for this one wey you just talk, I be Dey wonder, how can we be lying against dollar? You will hear say na dollar price wey go up na him make things price Dey go up, I wan even know how dollar take Dey affect our local foods like things wey we Dey produce for Nigeria? Na we Dey suffer each other for this country, na our marketers Dey kill us because of their greediness, because if not be greediness how you go talk say dollar price rise and e go affect waiting we Dey produce for our country, we are producing many things, and if you look at it now na things wey we Dey produce get money pass, maize, rice, beans and G nut all this things come carry money for head like say na from outside country we Dey get them.

Our business people are the one that is making things so difficult for us , let look BUA, DANGOTE and other companies wey Dey produce cement, all this companies are from Nigeria and we are not enjoying them all, and if another country want to buy from them they will sell it to them in a lower price, if you look at many countries na Nigeria Dey suffer because of cement and all this foods stuff and na we get all the place where we can get them, so what I want us to understand is that is not only government that is to blame for this Nigeria problem our business people are included.
It's true say when dollar value go up compared to our Naira, e fit affect how much we dey pay for things wey we dey produce for Nigeria. If dollar cost pass our Naira, e go cost more to bring in goods and materials wey we need for production. This fit make production cost increase, and na consumers go bear the brunt as dem go see higher prices for our locally made goods.
Some of our goods wey we dey produce for here fit depend on imported parts or machines, and if Naira no strong against dollar, e fit make those things cost more. So, producers fit need to change their prices to still make profit.

That would take a million years for the government of Nigeria to actualize because they tend not to focus their actions on these issues but instead to channel their efforts on places that aren't worth or the cause of this economic problem that Nigeria is facing. Firstly the excessive printing of the naira should be regulated because that also causes the depreciation of the value of the naira in the exchange market and like you said closing its borders and building up internal will help boost the economic strength to a large extent but the people in power will never resort to this because they are not going to benefit from it too.

Dis matter no be small one and as e dey be dey go, if things escalate e no go funny for the government again. We know say an dollar our country dey use buy goods from outside the country but even the ones wet dey for the country too dey hard money as dollar dey increase too. If you look am again, some people go wan believe say d money wey dem dey add for goods wey no be imported one na base on say if dem sell am for us as d normal price e suppose be, what if dem wan go buy something wey dem need and na dat money wey dem collect for here na him go determine the amount own wey dem fit buy, you see say dat one fit make dem too increase the money for their goods. But some people too dey take advantage of all this naira rise and e no go help matter as e be now. Na food Price regulation na him we need now to help us take solve dis issue of economic hardship over our over inflated food items.

The government can't fight the present situation alone
I quoted this topic separately because it's an interesting topic. Basically, the government are not doing anything to help the situation of this country, just yesterday binance exchange have stopped Nigerians from using p2p in their exchange and it was because of Nigerian government binance restricted Nigerian from selling their coins with p2p. But hopefully I believes that as a Nigerian and as a black people we are, there are many ways to deal with all the rubbishy things that is happening in this country.
We ourselves can help to change the country but the government have to make an amendment first, we can't be trying to fix things and some people with higher authorities will be spoiling them. F**k this country.
I at most wonder if this so called government are fully fleshed with blood flowing through them, they act like they are ultimate once power is handed to them. The main purpose of the government is to serve its citizens, making living stress free and worth the stress of having doing something to earn a living unlike our current economy where we work too much and our payment can't be sufficient enough to attend our needs not talk of wants.

You are here complaining but in the eyes of the government they are actually doing a wonderful job and their is nothing you can tell them too. One thing I have learnt about this country is that things are done too easily in this country and that's why the government acts anyhow without the interest of the public in their mind. Just yesterday I read some news claiming that binance official were actually capture and force to give out list of persons actually using their platform and if I may ask the reason for this action we will all find out that it's actually baseless and meaning less.

Our government is the reason why things are the way they are now because they are not doing the right things which they are supposed to do, every citizen of our country Nigeria is looking for a means to make money and once they are giving a little opportunity they will proudly use it to take advantage of other people since they will shift the blame to the government since they have no price regulatory system and they don't care to know the prices of things in the market because they have enough money to buy whatever they want to buy.

For instance, the Nigerian made goods are been sold very expensive because the cost of transportation is very high due to the current price of fuel( pms which is been sold for #750 nair, you don't expect sellers nor to add the cost of transportation to his or her goods when selling them because the seller will also consider making profit aftwr the sells.

If you say the government can't fight it alone you are wrong the government have the capacity to make this nation a better place, as the president of the country what's ever thing you say stand because the power has already been give to you by the most high that after him is the government, can start by reducing the price of commodity and other material things also put a law that who ever disobey will face the full punishment but this can't be possible because they are corrupt.
Nigeria is a bless country with some many natural resources that is generating income to the county income capable the feed the whole nation but because of there greed and selfishness everything is been generated by them selves. Dangote is also one major problem we are facing in this nation, see my brother the government knows what to do to better the country but chooses not to do it.

At the time of inflation there would always be reasons for increments of products. Once the national economy is affected then it is assumed that even the private sectors are also affected because most of the materials that maybe used for the manufacturing could be an imported material.
Other hand, most persons are just so wicked and irresistible, they would say okay now that dollar is high, it is the governments strategy to increase their banking funds meaning the government are either extorting from the masses or they are making away with the public funds giving accounts that the increments of the dollar is responsible for our economy and financial losts. The local vendors and producers would likely to also cut their own piece of cake finding unnecessary excuses that cost of their production materials has been increased due to dollar rate. Our system is just so corrupt that no one wants to be left behind.

This generation are in the the worst economy era and i think with level we have gotten to the goverment is helpless which they need every citizen to help fight this difficult situation. Like if you go the market, you will see things that has nothing to do with dollar, commodities that are being made from our own country very expensive and this are the same people complaining about the bad government.  When dollar increases the price of goods and services increases too and if dollar price drops the price of commodities still remain the same instead of to also drop in price. It is just as if some people are just using this difficult time as an advantage to make money for themselves.
Now this is a very enlighten topic and I suggest every body contribute even if it is little to it cause like this I don't understand where this Nigerian government and also our fellow brothers and sisters in this obodo naija dey carry us go, asin am so confused cause even to buy egg when fowl dey lay seff don reach #150 if not 200 naira now, I remember wen I used to buy this same thing #30, where is the country going, I thought we were supposed to be progressing instead of going back, all the effort our forefathers have put to make this nation great is now looking like is waste, and I no won even talk about our currency when dey come down in value bekus even new born dey c am.

The only way to solve this thing as in immediately is when the military takes over again cause like this naija need serious help from both the governing bodies, citizens and even from other countries when carry naija for heart.

I hope I would like to suggest two options for the escape from this worst economic doldrums in this our country Nigeria;
Firstly, the private sector should be enhanced through synergies to pool financial resources for the sake of participing for massive production. This I mean improving the equity participation of citizenship
Secondly, an effective consumer protection society to control arbitrary rises of cost of goods and services, and sundry matters. If this is done, the nation would hind a sigh of relief.

Op I gat your point. The government can fight inflation alone but also the marketers dey add to the inflation for the country. Now from the economic policies it is said that when the price of dollar is high, the price of goods are also high as well, and when the price of dollar is low the price of goods are low as well but for Naija wey we dey so na another different thing oh even when the price don go down the price of goods that are not imported into the country still maintain that high price.Nigerians are blessed with agricultural resources,so how can dollar affect the price of goods that are produced in the country?

Despite all the odds, our farmers have done their work and contributed significantly to the GDP of Jassa and the country.
Nevertheless agricultural activities provide a livelihood for many Nigerians whereas the wealth generated by oil reaches a restricted share of people.

What the nation is facing now is an act of bad governance the system is corrupt, I believe this is the worst period to be a Nigerian the deal has been done the judiciary and the eleco chairman should be blame for what Nigerians are passing through now.
But if you say the government can't fight it alone I will prove you wrong because God has already given power to them that after him is the government that simple means that we should be obedient to them what so ever thing they say we should do that is what we will do, believe me if the Government say the country will be a better place to so shall it be but it doesn't concern them because they can afford what ever they need.

The absence of price control laws for Naija dey cause wahala for people like us wey dey buy things. If government no do anything to handle this matter e fit dey worse as time dey go. The way prices dey differ for the same market dey show say we need sharp sharp regulations to make sure prices dey fair. E fit help if we join mouth talk for government to make dem change policy or join hand with others to push for better laws wey go control prices.

What I discovered going in this market traders is that most of them want to use the current economic status and the issues of the dollar rate to get rich. If not, the way things are increasing in the market is almost getting out of hand; it's as if something is increasing every minute. To be honest, market traders also play a role in the country's current inflation rate. Even if the government wants to help, they will not see what they are doing because the people they want to help are not helping themselves. Although I have been following the news, I see that our president has called all the representatives of the business community of Nigeria, like Dangote, Tony Elumelu, and others, to discuss about the economic stability, growth, and how to tackle the current economic hardship in the country.

So if we definitely want to see the end of this current economic situation, we have to also plan our own efforts to see that the market traders are selling their goods at the price that is supposed to be not increasing anyhow because many people find it hard to feed themselves these days and talk less about doing other needs for themselves.

The problem is that there are no price regulatory policies in Nigeria who will help to curtail this kind of rise in price that are not acceptable by its people. It is clear that people are taking advantage of the rise in dollar to add price to what they’re all selling. We are also the architect of our own problems and without full intervention of the government, things will only get worser. I remember buying a commodity last week from the same market with two different price, it was very shocking when I was told that. At the time, the seller of the product told me that everyone is just putting their price and no regulations. Which is very bad to hear.
