Karma is just another primitive anti-intellectual superstition.

My $.02.

it can't be proven or disproven though. i would like to believe that there is some sort of universal order admist the chaos though.

There are two.

Mathematics and physics.

My $.02.

Wink

What do you call the system of order that encompasses both mathematics (abstract) and physics (physical)?

I disagree with this.  Karma is most often (mistakeably) interchanged with the phrase "what goes around comes around."  I believe this is incorrect.

Karma is just another word for "cause and effect."  If I'm walking down the sidewalk and decide to randomly punch some stranger, karma doesn't imply that I, too, will be punched at some point, nor does it mean that I will necessarily face any legal repercussions.  But, *some* effect is bound to happen.  For example, the fact that I decided to randomly punch someone suggests that I'm carrying around some type of negative thoughts/emotions/feelings, etc.  Punching someone will both 1) reinforce these negative thoughts/emotions/feelings, and 2) will make it more probable that I will act aggressively towards someone in the future.  Both of these effects are negative consequences that I will endure, and accordingly I will have to deal with the resulting stress that comes from having angry thoughts/feelings or aggressive intentions.

yep. i believe in karma.. but there is no empirical evidence of it. i just believe that the universe functions like a clockwork, and it's all based on cause and effect.

also see: the observer effect.. while it doesn't concretely prove anything outside of the fact that you can affect reality (on a quantum mechanics level), it does more to support the fact that your thinking and mind affect your physical reality than it does to go against that belief.

how do math and physics disprove anything? if we knew everything about physics and math, and it suggested that everything was completely entropic.. then yes. but it does not suggest that. see chaos theory.

The force of law is karma.  Nature.  Duality.  That is the only law that exists.

Your ego doesn't believe in karma.  When you stole from squall, karma attempted to have you pay him back and you denied karma.  How can it be a law if your ego can dismiss it so freely?

You're welcome.

Interesting, thank you.

No, I simply see positivity everywhere.  Don't get me fooled, the government should not exert it's power over the world through force.  But at the same time, there are people in the upper levels that have the capacity to spread large amounts of peace into the world.  Whether their fear keeps them from doing that is up to them.

Uh, the "force of law" is actually the power of the gun or other weapon of choice and as far as governments are concerned, it has always been so.

Not likely to change any time soon.

For years, conservatives have engaged in a systematic effort to convince people that government is ineffectual and wasteful.

Government IS ineffectual (sic) and wasteful.

Which is what is used to orchestrate negative realities into existence.  Such as doubt.

I think IMa put on a horned helmet, a grass skirt, fire up some hash; maybe do some peyote and talk to the positive realities, dance around a fire and sacrifice a virgin.

Thank that'll have positive results?
