Digital, virtual, blockchain, internet, gaming, all are leafs on the computer innovation tree and that wouldn't be possible if wasn't for TV and no TV without electricity etc, it goes all the way down and comes back up again just like a circle or chain, so actually blockchain represents the whole universe if you think of it that way.
I think blockchain is a great innovation now people are finding more and more usage of it. From payment system, stock trading to housing market, basically anything with a contract can be done with blockchain which is more secure and tamper-proof.
The rate of money flowing into blockchain tells the whole story.

Bitcoin and blockchain technology is a great financial innovation but to state as greatest innovation in 20s, bitcoin does not have a considerable contribution for people in worldwide.
I mean, it doesn't reach and affected everyone's life as much as computer or internet.

Blockchain is indeed a great innovation, but what I don't like is how some are trying to make it seem like that is the only good thing of bitcoin and they try to only take that part out of it, bitcoin in itself is even greater than the blockchain in my opinion but they don't want to recognize it out of fear.

Yes I think Bitcoin and also Blockchain in some certain ways, decentralized and immutable, are the next big move in the digital age.
Satoshi created something incredible which generations after us will use and can read about it's beginnings in the history books of technology and digital science. And I'm glad to be a part of this wonderful invention as an early adopter and user.
Digital age has got existed in certain parts of every country, with everything completely digitized. The same need to grown in the currency network too. Over the past card system made a great change in the banking which has been liked much by the people. Now an alternative has come in the form of bitcoin as well trying hard get the attention of all class of people and go mainstream.
Blockchain can surely be added to the list. It seems a worthy innovation which is gonna change the world in terms of technology. Now more and more firms have started to function on their own Blockchain which itself confirms it an innovation of all time.
blockchain is a smart innovation in my opinion. previously people did not consider it important. but in fact at this time that blockchain is an innovation that is severe and can not be removed from bitcoin's success to date. we should learn from how blockchain can be created.

i agree that bitcoin and the technology it introduces to all of us has been a great thing. it is obvious because so many people, a lot of big financial groups, ... has been showing great interest in the blockchain technology. but things like these are never recognized as big in their early stages. it takes time before everybody realizes their potential, do lots of test runs and then in 10 years from now everybody say yeah it is a big deal.

Blockchain cannot be considered to have affected the world the way Electricity, Aircraft, Internet, Computer etc. have changed the world positively may be in future it will but not presently
That's true, we should wait until it proves itself. The Internet wasn't on the list in the 70s and 80s, when it was still used only by scientist and large corporations, and how many people use blockchain? Not even 1% of the population. To compare think how many people are using a fork or a spoon or a microwave? Also, like others have said, blockchain is only a tool for Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the one that deserves a place on that list.Great comparison
Well there is no doubt blockchain is good but to say it's the best is a understatement. It's yet taking steps to glory. In few years it shall make its name in the history books. Though I wouldnt mind it if it's given in place in too. It's the best thing that has happened to humans, and it will be interesting to see the updates it will have in future. Maybe 2017 maybe the year when it will take up let's hope for the best.

Yes, I think Andreas coined the phrase "The Internet of Money" for this technology. I do not know of any Fintech innovation in the last
couple of years that made such a impact on the financial world, like Bitcoin or the Blockchain did. Bitcoin was the spark that ignited the
innovation for other technologies. Bitcoin is also the technology behind 1000's of Alt coins that are being developed now.

blockchains have been around alot longer then people think. but how satoshi utilised it made it innovative.

I think that the blockchain technology can definitely have a lot of impact on the financial sector and add an additional layer of security to some of the trading systems we have now, but beyond that it just looks like a more expensive form of the same systems we have today.While vastly applicable for commodity trading, it lacks a lot of the efficiency conventional systems today provide.

No, because blockchains as you describing it, are just databases. Invention is BITCOIN not blockchain. Bitcoin is true revolution solving byzantine problem and first time ever allowing to true, distributed currency without central point of authority to exist in this world.
Well, I agree with this. Blockchain is a great book that can be accessed by the public. Blockchain shows all the data transactions that have occurred in the Bitcoin network. You can visit the site to facilitate your blockchain monitor what's happening in the blockchain. So, I think a more appropriate and feasible to predicate it is Bitcoin.
