Great news everyone we have our first prototype board done! Here is a pic of the design:

Read more about the process to put this together at our blog http://peppermining.com/building-the-first-prototype-board/.

Have a great sunday!

lol looks like 90% from HashFast design....

Terrible design.

If you think you would have any chance of making profits from this, at least design the board for HCL setup so private asshole can buy +1000 boards from you.

Quick update, as it's time for bed here. The board with no ASIC and a single VRM is built. It's unbelievable how long these stupid things take to build by hand. Tongue
I haven't tried flashing the microcontroller, but Windows detects it properly when it's plugged in.
I can also connect to the VRM, and program it. Best news, it fires right up and gives a nice 0.9V when asked. Next up is load testing the VRM and then calibrating it, followed by bringing up the microcontroller.

would we be able to use RPi ?
Not that I'm fan of RPi but it might save you some work and cost plus there are lot of miners who are running their gridseeds with RPi.

Thank you and keep working hard  Smiley

It would be great if Trolls were banned from the forums.
There wouldn't be a lot left.

I am not supporting HF but if the Pepperminig crew has an opportunity to supply the community with quality miners especially if the chips are going to waste in the hands of the manufacturer then more power to them. I will support a legitimate community project any day and Mr. Teal had proven himself.
Repeat me that when HF files for bankruptcy with nothing left.

It would be great for proven DIY miner manufacturers to supply a steady stream of products before the chip company as long as HF doesn't screw them over like they have done to their other customers. I also hope your miner gives HF a run for their BTC. Good luck guys.

It would be great if we would stop supporting companies which admittedly screwed over all their customers.

And while they are at it they could ban companies like hashfast for scamming.
