Trying to be brief to save battery.  Illuminati does exist.  Much misinformation lies around the subject.

Illuminati is not bad or evil.  Illuminati seeks to illuminate humanity into higher dimensional beings.

The deluminati is who you are probably familiar with.  The grand puppeteers pulling the strings.  The willfully ignorant media of ego and matter.

Not sure if they exist, but it might be that knowledge they got was passed to their students, who could be working on their ideals, and this knowledge could be available to many highly educated people. Also their ideas could be inspirational to people who actually have power to influence world development....globalist billionaries financing organization and campaigns pushing their views on what is right. But I dont believe in that ocultist/mystic dark stuff, even though I know that many rich and succesful people believe in stuff like cabala.

Illuminati, is originally a group which litteraly means: The enlighters.
They where somewhat against the Catholics, if I recall correctly.

Been to Rome recently, (1 week ago ) and saw a Illuminati sign in a church, what that would mean, I don't know...

The word "illuminati" has turned into nothing more than a blanket term for dark groups of subversives that seek to control through deception.

A better question would be, do there exist dark occultists that seek to use black magic for personal gain?

Are there groups of these people that have infiltrated the highest echelons of the elite ruling class in society?

The answer of course is yes.

We are all being controlled, manipulated. Very few people realize it. They use black magic, occult rituals, numerology and dark sex magic in the vein of aleister crowley.

All of the major world events that have occurred were influenced by these people... 9/11, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, the civil war in Ukraine, MH17 & MH370, their attempts to get rid of Assad in Syria. The good news is that they are not always successful. For all of their black magic power they are still arrogant, selfish people at heart, truly nothing more than parasites feeding off of humanity like a bunch of leeches.

JFK spoke of a dark conspiracy at the highest levels of society that he planned to get rid of. Then he was assassinated shortly after.

The rise of christianity threatened to wipe out all advances in mathematics, reason and philosophy. The final blow was the murder of Hypatia by a christian mob in Alexandria.

At this point, the Pythagoreans & Neoplatonists went underground. They pretended to be christians while secretly passing on mathematics.

At some point the Pythagoreans & Neoplatonists began referring to themselves as the Illuminati and began using secret symbols to communicate amongst themselves.

Later they hid within the ranks of the Freemasons.

After the renaissance, mathematics was able to return from hiding without as much persecution by christians. There was still some problems as witnessed by the trial of Galileo by christians, but soon an agreement was reached. Science and mathematics would be separated from religion. Science would be confined to the observable and testable realm. Math would only be a tool that just "happened" to coincide with physical phenomena. Religion would still rule the realm of the untestable.

After this, the Illuminati split up into several groups. Some groups kept the name, other groups changed their name. Most eventually died out as the need for secrecy was greatly reduced.

Due to their deep understanding of math and philosophy, some became bankers and accumulated great wealth and power.

Bitcoin will change that. In a way, we are the new Illuminati. We will illuminate the world.

Wow, I have the first edition of that Illuminati game from Steve Jackson.  Ultimately it led to their company being raided by the Feds, because the Feds were sure that IT WAS NOT A GAME.  The raid almost killed their company.  It was a famous case at the time, involving Phrack Magazine and the E911 document.

EFF got on the case and sued the US government with Steve Jackson.  They won this case and it set some important precedents.
Much of which have later been undone, but it is a good case to keep in your knowledgebase anyway.

Do they exist? Depends what you mean by 'they'. I don't think they 'control' the world per se though they might want to, but there are certain groups of powerful and wealthy individuals who want to and will buy as much power and influence as they can to shape certain world invents. War is a business and the oil and arms industry and banks profit immensely from this and what better way than to get governments to give them their citizens taxes by buying arms to invade countries then charging them more to rebuild it and the banks lend them more money when they need it and it's the government that bails them out when they screw up. It's legalized money laundering on a global scale. The politicians of course get a kick back from this is various ways.

Maybe "The Illuminati" don't exist, but surely something very very similar yes.
