The lack of financial education in general is a worrying problem. We teach students about literature, maths, science, ... and we tell them that those are the things they need to know in life. Yet usually, the largest single expense they will have on their lives is a house, and that normally comes with a mortgage. Yet, only a few schools will tell them what should they be expecting, the risks and the consequences of such a contract.

Bitcoin and alts is another case in which people are carefully kept in ignorance by the governments and lobbies.

What can we do to make more people interested in economy and finance and to better educate the youth so that they don´t get ripped-off?
It is true! So I think it is better if the government will focus to teach cryptocurrencies to the students. Bitcoin is our future money so it is better if all of the students will become aware to what is bitcoin.

We all know that economics and financial education involves the subject mathematics. This must be the reason that's why some people find it boring. But, if we impose to people's mind that when it comes to money, they shouldn't let themselves be bored or uninterested with it because it will cost them fortune.

I quite agree with this poin of view. Currently education is not so good to be succesful person. Students do not teach economy and finance that are always in you life. So the only think we may to do is self-educate)))
Good and standard education is provided to only those who are having great bank balance and are owners of factories or mills.

Finance, economics, statistics are taught to only those who are majoring in these disciplines. They only know how to plan their budget effectively and stay out of the range of scammers and frauds. Rest of the people are struggling always to understand these financial things to be successful economically.

In some country financial educations are included in their curriculum, not directly related to altcoin but more on stock market. But in case the government doesn't prioritize the financial literacy the parents should be in charge in shaping the minds of the youth. Do not depend to much on government as a citizen We should do our best to contribute in our economy.

this is the real problem of education: how to increase the number of economically educated people? Family is the minimum unit of society. From parents, children take the basics of behavior and the basis for organizing themselves as individuals. Perhaps it is worth to let have children only people who have the economical education or it will have to redo the minds of already formed adults (without this education) which will be more problematic because it is much easier to work on the child's flexible mind

I think its due to the disinterest that people have when it comes to the economics and the economy of the country as a whole. People in general think that its better for the specialists and the economists to talk about the financial future however, this are really important as having a knowledge even at least an average understanding of it can really contribute a lot to how a person can stand in society

The lack of financial eduction is mostly problem of some people that they don't know how they spent  their money right , and this problem is common to  dependent people like a student.
Every person on this planet earth can earn as much as money as he can. There is no shortage of chances and opportunities. It is just a matter of consideration for the people to know about themselves related to finance. They don’t know what the management of money is. How can they earn and how can them seven and how can they spend. This education must be delivered at gross root level.

I think financial education is very important,
not only for investing their money but also money management.
This is some skills not many people have,
I have notice kids just don't know how to handle money in general.

I also believe that we're lacking of financial education except to those who are interested on finance. I think schools are just doing right, yes it is good to teach students in their early age about financial aspect but I think we can learn it from home. We should not just focus on money, people are studying to earn money someday. Literature, maths, science that was mentioned are some that we should learn first. It's up to someone if they want to get educated about financial aspect.
Agreed our children are our future so if we will teach them about bitcoin and the financial be ligation then they will get trained and will not suffer any problem in their future so it is good to tell all students about it, now many people are trusting bitcoin so they knows it will be good for their children as well. If we will spread knowledge about bitcoin in our state then more people will be educated and will get profit.

This is true. One of the cancer of the society is that most people lack of the essential financial education for secure. It is selfsame as our teacher and or professor never taught us to love ourselves, yet to dealt with things and parts and those. At the same time, they never thought us how to become more engage to sexual activity and how to self-control. In line with this, they never taught us how to be financially secure and financially stable. Since it is more of how to deal one self in the near future or proclaimed as self-study.

Modern youths nowadays do not have the control of their moneys, they would rather freak out on a freakshow on every friday hang outs or will claim that their salary is less than their profession. I think it is one of the more susbtantial problem that requires immediate resolution on how the next generation will provide knowledge on their own how to use their skills. Although, book markets offered a lot of lectures, it is still dependable to the people holding it with a lot of external necessities of their lifestyle.

I kinda agree with this post. Lack of financial education can sometimes lead to poor investment in the future. Not all of us can understand the technicalities in finance but if we are somewhat aware, we can minimize the damage that can happen in the future. Educating and encouraging students to always think and be wise was also a good start.
Indeed, planning for their future can minimize the risk of losing something. What they are teaching in schools have nothing to do with the life that is ahead of us. They can only use maybe 15% of what they have learned in real life. Considering teaching financial education will be great not only for the kids but also to the economy of the country.

It would be hard to teach these topics on a complete scale but on the smallest sense as a form of informal education at home or anywhere as need may arise, maybe that is how we  could give some inputs to them at least.

Absolutely agree! When I try to explain about Bitcoin or blockchain to my friends, the first thing I have to do is to explain them how rupee/dollar or any other fiat currency works. It's not the new technology that is difficult to understand but we never understood the concept of money so far and that's the reason behind this misunderstanding and lack of awareness. Bitcoin is still 5+ years ahead and thus we are limited in speculation area as of now. Exchanges/web wallets are being compromised/ ICOs are stealing money and that highlights the need of modern financial education.

Use block chain technology to teach financial education in a decentralized manner
such that all persons are taught on how not to be ripped off by the financial avaricious
world. It is possible to do the teaching now than letter. No time is late. The only way out
of consistent financial slavery is through financial education, skills and knowledge.

Teacher never teach  their student to earn income or financial education. Governments should teach our fellow students on how to earn money online but i think they are very greedy to make alot of money. We should educate them coz this era will be booming soon.

Financial education should teach at the early age of a student for them to realize how can money works for them. Government doesn’t make any move regarding on this matter they focus more on feeding poor people instead of giving them work and let them earn some money. We, considered as a financial literate must teach young people about the importance of investing, simple thing will always be matter in the future.
In this case,we can teach financial education to the early ages like our sons and daughters so they will grow up with full awareness about finances and its management.I believe a man who lacks financial education will never grow in his own way and will always repeat the same process over and over again. We should not wait for the government to educate people, let's do our part for their welfare.

The government has to think about these matters. Who make the school curriculum? The department of education. If they stress out the importance of financial educations in a person’s life, people will come into realization that it is indeed important to be literate when it comes to economics. The need will lead the government to implement the proposal by including this subject in the curiculum.

This is a good topic, i had a lot of friends that lacks this kind of knowledge or intellect. Many of them are started on entering this cryptocurrency thing yet most of them are struggling to understand some things due to lack of financial knowledge. I hope we move on to our classic subjects and schools will start on teaching things that are really useful in real world.
