The long wait was worth it and also a big thank you to the father of the forum for adhering to this request and for everyone that has supported this motion. Well for your request of the additional smerit i pray also that theymos will grant you that because your aspiration in seeing that members of the forum who are working should grow is really something special and we the members of the forum are looking forward to your continuous hardwork and time you have been taking to help give the credit that is deserved to whom deem fit.

Congratulations to The Skeptical Chymist. The request has lasted almost forever and it's great that theymos still considered and implemented the change.
I'm just curious what happened to the other newbie account that registered with "The Sceptical Chymist"? Was he nuked because that's the only way Theymos could achieve something like this. ? .. I knew the idiot was nothing more than a troll.
It was mentioned much earlier in the thread, that theymos had changed the users display name to something totally random. Check the reply and the quoted ones;

The Pharmacist has been asking our boss (theymos) to change his name to The Sceptical Chymist and today I discovered that the username has finally been changed.

What a nice present! Funny enough, I even told him that he may get the name change granted as Christmas present.

I think he really deserved it, i have know him to be a good active user on the forum regardless of time and energy.
My boss The Sceptical Chymist i say a very big congratulation to you for name changed successfully, your impact on this Forum can never be devalued most especially helping newbies and members to rank up with your merits rewards which I m also a partaker and a beneficiary of it.

Now i have to remember this change and guess it will takes some time to get it .
I remember it was the same thing with when TheBeardedBaby got his name change , sometimes its hard then to recognize them with their new names.

Sometimes its is good to give time a chance. Congratulations Sceptical Chymist this really Christmas present just like @NeuroticFish responded. The additional merit allocation will also be granted seen how contributive Sceptical Chymist has been to the growth of the forum.
As for the Nigerian Board we believe theymos is seriously making plans to seeing he allocate a board to Nigerians. Every good thing takes time. It been long since Sceptical Chymist made the appeal and here his first request is been granted awaiting the second. So we too we wait till it gets to our turn I strongly believe thymos has Nigerians at heart.

Congratulations to The Sceptical Chymist! it took a long time for his wish to be granted. This is a lesson for everyone, specifically me, that we shouldn't lose hope about our requests, goals, or aspirations. That's why we need virtues called patience and persistence. As I earlier stated in this thread, Public request to Theymos for a name change, he deserves this name because it suits his personality. A big thank you to Theymos and others that have supported the course of this change of name. I also hope that all our desires would one day come to reality.
