Why do people love football more than any other sports

There's more to it than just the twenty two man who see on the field of play. Personally, I grew up around gran-P with so much love for the game. Gradually that love, passion, fun and joy from watching football and playing football had the better of me. Too many obstacles with playing football professionally otherwise with all of these talents, man has got to be doing what's important.
People talk about facing your studies over footbal, anyday anytime, I'd choose footbal professionally over these fvcked education that have failed to impact shit in our society. We've seen better successfully people from football than from graduates with first class in my ends.
This is a nice observation, on many countries the opportunities you can obtain by getting educated are not good at all and the process is very expensive as well, soccer allows people that do not have the resources to get a better future for themselves by trying to become professionals, and even if the chances of reaching that dream are low, at least it gives them hope they can improve the quality of their life this way, so in those countries many people pursue soccer with a passion other people will never understand.

Whether you're referring to American Football or European football (or soccer as we call it) I think both sports are the most popular because they are so high paced and action packed.  Soccer/football is certainly the most popular sport on the planet, but here in the United States NFL football is by far the most popular sports.  Many reasons..including so few game (only 17 per team), high paced, hard hits, etc etc.  It's also very easy to place bets as well as fantasy football being a huge deal.

Football is the game that unites. It's a universal game that almost every nation bon earth participate in and gets so much joy watching or participating in the game, the esctasy, the euphoria and the Sense of pleasure it brings to the mind makes it most preferable.

The university of football is one factor that has given it the recognition it's gotten over the years with respect to other sports, it has a way of getting all the interest and attention and it's most loved by the masculine gender. Personally my love for football was derived from the pleasure and entertainment I got watching every of my favorites team play, I get a satisfaction that is very enjoyable and relaxing from football than I get from other sports.

Football is currently the biggest sport in the world, with every country abiding to the rules of FIFA, regarding soccer. Can't say for sure why we naturally grew up as toddlers to love football. Enjoyed watching adults play street football, and we also formed our own football groups. It's quite an interesting exercise. All over schools, kids still play soccer. Although in countries like USA kids are mostly introduced to basketball and American football, but soccer still thrives in generating multitudes who are interested in watching the game. I've not come across any football game, be it street soccer organized by kids, with no spectators. It shows how we all owe our love to football games. Not just the masculine gender, the female gender also love football, most especially street football, organized by a community; school or association. I'd vividly recall, how young girls felt happy to watch their younger class or school mates participate in football competitions. The only difference is that the female gender don't love watching football on TV. According to what I've noticed, watching it live and seeing people they know play football interests them the most, like everyone else. It's fun to watch our loved ones play and the hugs and handshakes after the games gives a different thrill. Games shown on TV is less interesting compared to the ones we see live, played in school field.

Do you mean soccer?  It's a great game, but it still depends on your country, each country has a favourite sport, such as cricket in India, and other countries have their favourite sports as well, but I believe football (soccer) is the most popular sport in the world.  Football brings people more joy than any other sport. I'm not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way, but it's probably because I love watching football and, more importantly, I love playing the game. It brings me so much joy and happiness, and I wish I could be a professional football player someday, but I come from a country where dreams are difficult to pursue and are easily eliminated, I will do everything in my power and continue to pray to God for it to come true.

Adding to what you just said, Football/Soccer being so universal and well known around the planet, to me it is still weird how many important republics still resist to further engage and enjoy the passion of Football/Soccer. The most obvious example is the United States, being one of the biggest and most important countries, to them the most important cup is a national one (the Super Bowl) instead a worldwide one like the World Cup is.

I am not sure if it is a cultural thing, which do not allow the average American to enjoy Soccer or they do not like to get excited about it because their team is not as good as the latin Americans and Europeans.
I'll need to ask some friends from the United States about it when I have got a chance.
Because America has their own football which according to everyone there is more fun and more popular and just look at them, all American football players have strong, muscular bodies with very impressive heights, this is one of the factors that Americans agree on.
They do have the Super Bowl Cup which is the most prestigious competition and is different from most of the countries out there which have greater love for football with the biggest competition being the World Cup.
Moreover, in America, football is one of the least popular sports, in contrast to American football, which actually has percentage of almost the entire population there who likes it.

But this gave me the idea that one of the reasons why FIFA made the US one of the hosts for the 2026 World Cup was so that football could be more popular there and not be inferior to American football.
It just that we can really see what will happen there if the World Cup is successfully held in 2026.

You have got a good point there while guessing the reason for the FIFA to hold their events in the United States. They are aware football is very popular around the world and the lack of enthusiasm for it in USA probably means a lost opportunity for capitalization of this sport in that country. Keeping in mind the USA has such a big market and economy, if somehow the people there became enthusiastic about football, it would mean new profit for football organizations, specially FIFA.
Though, we must recognize that taking down American Football as favorite sport in that country won't be an easy task, assuming they even consider it to be an option.

It has always been that way that whenever it is football season, the team up and other aspects of engagements start springing up. Fan base begin to expound and ready to sing to cheer their various teams and football clubs. Of a truth football is a very lucrative business now that parents now encourage their children to play football unlike before that they always scold them and also have a bad remarks about football. I will also agree to the fact that when ever it is football season, any nation hosting it always experience economic boom because there would be so many tourists in that country who visit just to watch live matches. They patronise vendors and every other businesses they can upon their stay in those countries. Like wise hotels and resorts too enjoy such patronage the more.
Owners of football clubs too are not left out in the football business too. They are the tycoon whom own eats up the profits from their various clubs after match days.

The football was the most liked game in the current world, because of the less economic dependence on the football.Even the people from the under developed country was get involved to the football.Only the rule should be understand by the person who play the game in their little ground. As we know the rules of the football was simple and in my community the people was addicted to the football compared to the Cricket and Basket ball. The football can be played in the empty ground, while the basketball can be played in the court with the basketball net.The cricket also need of the stumps to begin the game.In football the ball alone enough for the game of football, the number of players to the game can be limited with four players for the football. This simple things made the football as the unique among the world population.

If I am not mistaken, there is no other sports as entertaining as football. Little wonder the turn up is very much overwhelming when ever there is a football competition when it comes to international games such as the world cup, UEFA champions league, English premier league and other football leagues globally. The main reason for this I think is for unity and coexistence amongst nations and ethnicity.

At the local level within friend circle, football can be played based on the available individuals and it could be in 4, 5, 6 or 7 depending on how big the available space and individuals ready to play. I remember when I was still at my secondary school then we do play such type when ever we are free. We just do that for entertainment and fun.

Why do people love football more than any other sports

Have you ever heard that expression: "Taste can't be discussed"!?

But, in addition to each person's personal taste, it's possible to say several reasons why football is the most loved sport in the world....

The long history of football is one of the main reasons. In the years 1800s, football, created by the English, began to be played by several people. At the time, England administered several countries that it had discovered. Thus, football was taken by crew members and colonizers to various corners of the world.

Furthermore, football is a sport that does not depend on large resources. Imagine canoeing, for example. To practice this sport, the athlete needs a canoe, paddles and a place with space to put theory into practice. As for football, just a ball and markings on the floor serve as the basis for practice Cool. The movement itself is also a facilitator: kicking is something we do instinctively and it is believed that men have been doing this movement since the stone age – it's no wonder that almost every child has a ball to take their first steps in football.

Stories of overcoming are also part of football and the reasons why people love the sport. See how many examples we have of athletes who overcame various adversities and managed to change their lives thanks to sport. Its simplicity allows all types of people to practice, without depending on financial resources to start their career. Thus, many boys and girls who do not find the possibility of playing "expensive" sports such as tennis or golf, can have in football the chance for a complete change of paradigms.

Football, in general, is a popular game that stands as a symbol of unity. It was created for fun and to relieve stress, with moments  worth noting. People do love football for its entertaining nature and the vibes it gives. I believe you can attest to the fact that whenever it is time for football season, their is always unity amongst groups, individuals, etc., irrespective of ethnicity, tribe, religion, and lots more. People tend to unite while watching football matches in support of a particular team as a result of their fan base and the players involved. Although not everybody likes football and it is only those who have that love for it can say it much better.
Football has some of the most popular competitions in the world. The FIFA male world cup is the most-watched competition globally with close to 5 billion people viewers in Qatar 2022. The last female World Cup had about 2 million views and the UEFA Champions League is another highly viewed competition. Soccer also receives more media coverage than other sports and this has continued to make the sport more popular. In some nations, football has also been integrated into the culture of the society. In countries like Brazil and England football is like a tradition. The economic advantage of football is also making it have more global appeal. Footballers are highly paid, while club owners are making lots of profit. So it is now common to see parents encouraging and supporting children to play football professionally.

And we could go even further than that as there are countries in which soccer is basically a religion, as fans believe on the players of their favorite team with more fervor than in the religious figures of their religion of choice, so when we think about it soccer getting that popular is not really a mystery, and once a sport has reached that level of success and popularity, it is almost a given that this is going to continue for a long time as then parents transmit that fervor to their children, which then will do the same to their own children and so on.

Do you know that in Brazil, parent prefer their children to go to football academy than actually going to academy for studies. That's because parent want the world to see the talent of their children. This is what love of football brings to people.
I am well aware of the craze and love people have for football/soccer in Brazil, but I think that's a bit excessive and they shouldn't avoid studies because of that love and passion because even if a person wants to become a professional sports player, they still need education to accompany them at a lot of occasions because if you manage to become famous, you will have to give interviews and face the media and camera every single day and one should have that confidence in them and I believe knowledge and education gives us confidence.

Talking about the love of people for the game, I think it's crazy how many people in the world love the sport and admire the teams and players so much. I think football celebrities are the most famous sports celebrities in the world and the love of people for the game is the reason behind that, no doubt.

The football  is the king of sports, you only need a couple of stones to use as an archer and a ball, so just play in any space you find, there is no sport that assimilates that into all social structures like soccer does, so That simplicity translates into being one of the most used bets.

Which football are you referring to? Real football like NFL American football or soccer? I personally cannot stand soccer, but i'm only 1 person. My dislike is mainly related to the betting of the sport, it's just not my favorite. Now if you are talking NFL football, I LOVE THAT!!! Big hits, awesome celebrations after scores, many betting options it's just a great sport.
Hi,
Smiley, sorry It seems to me that you like the NFL so much that you forget that for the rest of the world + 7700 billion people football = Soccer = futbol. they love ⚽

Dang 7700 billion people population rise this year exploded I haven't checked in awhile.  Just because someone equates it to American football (as do most all americans) you don't need to get upset about it lol.  It's the way we grew up football was American football and "futbol" was always soccer.  I always laugh when people get bent out of shape over words.  Shoukd Americans get pissed at people from the uk calling cookies biscuits?

Why do people love football more than any other sports
Probably because it's one of the most popular games we have here, there is no time that you will have to mention any kind of football game to about 4–10 people, of whom at least 7 will be aware of the game. I think they are more fun to watch and easier to understand as people can also easily access them.

Before I even heard about some other form of sport, football (soccer game) was the first type of sport I was involved in. Even in the local community, it's easy to find a place where you can engage yourself in such a game and have fun with it, and the more you get in touch with such a game, the more your passion for it will increase.

But the love of all these games is based on the country and location; different regions seem to love one particular kind of sport over the other.

Why do people love football more than any other sports
There are probably many reasons for this, soccer as a game surged when European influence was probably near its peak, also soccer is a sport that can be practiced by anyone almost anywhere as you do not need much to practice the sport, and finally the influence of the TV made soccer even more popular at a time in which there were not many options to watch, so when you consider all of those factors it is not really a surprise that soccer is so popular all over the world.
