News about this is starting to spread now. The one I heard about only implied that there could be ETH foundation developers involved.
I just finished reading the news in the link. Sell ETH out of principle. The Ethereum foundation are a group of scammers and frauds. It is better for Vitalik to retire from crypto. He is done.

Whale/whales tried to pump it with the motto "ETC is the new ETH" , some people fell for this scam, some didn't. It's unclear wether their pump was succesful or not, it's very possible that honest holders left ETC before the whales, assuming they were expecting higher prices. If that was the case, it's probably the biggest failed whale pump in the history of crypto, they lost alot of money.

Some things need to be considered with Ethereum : this is the most irrational crypto-currency on exchange platforms and it has the branding. I don't see any reason why parity would be reached, except in ETH sinking to ETC level.
