Agree with the above post. When someone wants to look up at cryptocurrency, the most searched stuff will be Bitcoin and followed by Ethereum. Because these cryptocurrencies are superiors compared to others on every aspect. Other stuff like Binance is more into advanced people so the beginner one should not know that yet.

Bitcoin of course! When people mention cryptocurrency, they make profound reference to bitcoin first and foremost. This is majorly because a lot of peoplhear about bitcoin first before they hear about other cryptocurrencies. To understand what bitcoin and Cryptocurrency is, they search for answers on Google thus, making bitcoin, one of the most searched cryptocurrencies online. Also, the acceptance and wide adoption of bitcoin has also promoted its search on search engines. People want to know how they can get involved with it.

There are some of these so called big projects that are just walking dead. Most of these Bitcoin forks would go to zero in value and people need to be careful with them. Another thing that could be responsible for this is marketing hype that surrounds some of these projects, if a project is doing airdrops and you need to retweet about them on Social media then there is likelihood they could be trending online during that period

i understand why BSV is not in the list, and should not be. i hope people are now understanding that theres nothing behind it.

bitcoin and ethereum deserve to be on top of the list. bitcoin is like the US$ in cryptocurrency. no one can replace its popularity atm. so those forked coins out of btc and claiming to be the original and better  can keep their mouths shut.

the most searched for cryptocurrency is bitcoin and seconded by ethereum anyday.  the coinmarketcap.com also shows how much of bitcoin is in circulation but it is more on google considering the searches. people get to know more about bitcoin through other people and news media and then look up to google to furnish them with resourceful information.

Hello, according to the website: blockchaincenter.net, these cryptocurrencies are most searched among cryptocurrencies:
1.  Bitcoin (80,8%)
2. Ethereum (14%)
3. XRP (8%) followed by Litecoin (4,7%), Bitcoin Cash (2,7%), IOTA (2,5%), Monero (2,1%), Tron (1,8%), Dogecoin (1,8%) and Cardano (1,5%).

They processed information based on Google Trends.

When you compare it with the market cap, then where is Bitcoin Satoshi Vision, EOS or Binance Coin?  Shocked
Nothing surprising over here. Bitcoin has been out there from the very beginning, and whenever anyone thinks about crypto currencies, the first thing that comes to their mind is "Bitcoin". When they start learning about bitcoin, they eventually come across Ethereum since it had one of the most impact on the development on the crypto currencies.
I guess XRP is here because it is kinda centralized and rumors about banks using them? Some people think centralized coins are going to be a success.

It just seems to me that the cryptocurrencies that you listed in the question (binance coin, etc.) are less known to ordinary users (I mean those who are not familiar with the cryptocurrency market, but at the same time have heard about the concept of bitcoin). Well, it seems strange to me to compare trends and capitalization, right?

No more Rekt and Bust
Most people who are joining here are just interested in BTC because BTC is first is the first information about cryptocurrency. Cause of that They try to find some news about BTC. It is not exaggeration BTC followed by ETH. ETH is the second-best cryptocurrency after BTC. After know about both of them, they can find also other cryptocurrencies, but both of them are more popular among others.

Bitcoin Still Will Remain The Most Searched Cryptocurrency Coin Ever Prior To Its Adoption Locally And Globally, Every One Is Mostly Interested In BTC But Know Less Idea About It. Millions Of People Still Ask What before Is All About, How It Works, So It's Should Be The Most Searched On Google.

EOS Is A Complex Complicated Blockchain, Required Alot Of Energy,  Brainstorming, Before Accessing It That's Why Most Projects Don't Usually Build On It. Most Traders Aren't Aware Of BNB But Surely Aware Of Binance Exchange As The Number One World Crypto Largest Exchange With Highest Volatility And Volumes.

I guess it's common if the first thing they look for in Google is about bitcoin. even the majority of those who are still lay or do not know crypto, the main search percentage is bitcoin. if people start to know bitcoin then they can find out about other cryptoqurrency too.

I expect the OP to put the time range with the search, he can also add location with the percentage, that could make it more comprehensive with better data integrity. I also think long-term cryptocurrency enthusiasts will have wider range of search on cryptocurrencies than newbies, the longer you stay in cryptocurrency the more you are tempted to try alt-coins especially the top those with high volume trade.

It is clear people does not even bother about these coins Tongue, the coins that are mentioned are there for a very long time in the market and bitcoin cash is a well known fork and i am surprised people search for Cardano and Tron, it looks like they are advertising too much in social media so that people search them to look about it rather than people using it  Tongue.

Just as expected, Bitcoin ethereum and ripple will definitely win the google search, others like dash, Monero and litecoin aren't that on people's mind but still well supported if I have to judge using the market cap they possessed

This ranking actually makes sense, but to be honest I am a bit surprised that Dash is not included in that list. It is one of the more established cryptocurrencies like Litecoin, Monero and Ethereum.
But, as the user ned.ryerson said above, Dash didn´t show any progress. Many people are finding better looking anonymous cryptocurrencies - Grin, Beam, or Monero that constantly develops more features. In my opinion, Monero is the most complex anonymous cryptocurrency in the market, but there is a problem with the growing number of data stored and increasing blockchain size (in GB).  Undecided

These position are very predictable because Bitcoin is the oldest and the most popular cryptocurrency, so it`s obvious that Bitcoin has the largest percent of searching. All positions are definitely obvious, but it`s very surprising for me that Binance coin has so low searching rating

EOS generally has not shown any progress in the development of its project for a long time. I have not heard anything about the project for 1.5 years. It seems to me that the blockchain is faced with big problems, but they don’t talk about it

Not really surprising it's been that way ever since but this time Bitcoin dominance is now even wide, investors should include the most searched crypto as one of their decision to buy coins and include in their portfolio, the data shows Litecoin ahead on Bitcoincash, so Ia m right right in adding more Litecoin instead of Bitcoincash.

These search trends are always expected as i think they corelate with the volume of the coin as well. In other words we can say that search results and trends indicate the interest in a coin that is expressed via trading these coins resulting in matching volumes.
