What can we expect from the NEXT 10 years of Bitcoin? speculation in price? Will Bitcoin survive ?
The last question is not really relevant unless you see a disaster hitting us to the point the electric grid goes down, as I believe that is the only way bitcoin could go down and disappear, with that out of the way we do not know what the next decade will bring, maybe we will see more of the same and the adoption will continue to go up at a slow pace, however if we see a collapse of the current system it would not be weird that at some point during that decade the bitcoin adoption skyrockets as people will be trying to protect themselves from that scenario.

We will likely see a $1 Million BTC price by then.
Sounds unrealistic and too lucrative to believe but could actually happen if the bear runs don't happen and we get momentum with a few good bull runs.

in my opinion bitcoin in 2009 was just a coin with very small value and very few people knew about it, up to now bitcoin has increased to a dizzying number of 60 thousand dollars, 10 years from now no one can be sure of one thing. compared to what bitcoin has grown to date, that's almost an amazingly disciplined growth figure.
I fully agree with you and for any asset, the growth in its initial years is much higher and rapid as compared to years later. I mean there is no chance we would see the same increase in price that we have seen in the last decade but still the value should increase only with time and more adoption in the years to follow.

I am not setting unrealistic goals nor expecting too much but I do wish one thing in 10 years from now - hopefully the manipulation is over.

What do you mean by survive, you think it will be getting a ventilator to survive in the next ten years Tongue, are you even following the development that is going on in Bitcoin, just check them out before getting into conclusions, Taproot activation is fast approaching and i am hoping we will have a rally when that takes place and i hope we will have that upgrade without much fuss.

What can we expect from the NEXT 10 years of Bitcoin? speculation in price? Will Bitcoin survive ?
I think predicting the price or the market is near impossible for the next 10 years. Given what has happened in the last 10 years, I would say either Bitcoins would have become the mainstream payment option or it would have been replaced by dominant crypto altogether in the next 10 years because there shouldn't be anything in between. Everyone loves the blockchain technology but some hate bitcoins so either a new coin replaces everything or everyone just accepts bitcoins finally.

As for the price, I am expecting half a million dollars in 2024 when the next halving is expected to take place so maybe a million dollars is a realistic price for 2031. I won't hold for that long though, honestly because I have planned to sell everything in 2024 and from there on, either I will quit the market completely or will just press the reset button.

Said 50K back in 2013, now its not about price compared to $ anymore. its not price of Bitcoin it will be Price of Fiat against Bitcoin. Fiat is loosing its value everyday.

Yes BTC will survive and will be stronger each and every day

Of course it will survive because bitcoin is the most powerful crypto currency in the space so it will stay forever as long as it has strong support, as the matter of fact every year bitcoin adoption is gradually increasing and that's the reason why it achieved the 60k value, so how much more in the future are you still expecting it will disappear?  Nah change your mindset mate because its very obvious that only bitcoin can survive on the space and even 200k isn't enough after 10 years in my opinion.

Let's just say all these barriers to success bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are facing will be a thing of the past.

Seeing most countries are laying some kind of crypto legislation for its citizens, I see crypto to be less of an anonymous asset to use as more services are likely to be tied to KYC which wasn't the initial plan as to why we have cryptos like bitcoin. So in the coming years prepare for KYC if you want to keep using crypto Wink

Price wise I think we should be trading between $50k and  $100k

Only god knows about what happen to btc in the next 10 years from now, we cannot predict the price of bitcoin 10 years from now but i will say bitcoin will still survive that time. Beause as what i have observed in my country many more people will show thier interest in crypto and they want to know more about it so there is a posibility that many more investors will invest in bitcoin soon

We've crossed the first ten years of bitcoin. During the first ten years we've experienced the early growth and things happening in a much stabilized way. The falling ten years in opinion is the days of market widening. As a beginning for the same we've got more corporate network entry into the cryptospace. Along with the entry of the corporate more countries have legalized cryptocurrency usage. So, don't get late on investing on cryptocurrency is my thought.

Bitcoin won't really exist in 10 years. At least, it won't matter in any significant way. People will probably trade whole bitcoins as collectors items for $10/btc or something like that. Large governments will have improved their already really sound currency systems by then and it'll just be a safer investment to stay in USD in a savings account.

What can we expect from the NEXT 10 years of Bitcoin? speculation in price? Will Bitcoin survive ?

I think the next 10 years of bitcoin will be more amazing new ATH will maybe triple compair the present price today. If we are going to look back on the bitcoin price we can saw that there is no way for bitcoin to back on its price from 2010. There is a big difference about the price from the past and the present price and i believe that bitcoin will make a new record in the near future. Because many more people will know about bitcoin.

...

deep in my heart, I am 1000% sure Bitcoin will continue to survive from whatever it is...

Actually your question is classified as 'low' but to be more convincing for you then I give a little opinion. The Bitcoin community has been very strong from year to year, there will even be more countries that recognize Bitcoin as a legal tender. don't doubt about the future of Bitcoin, BTC will continue to survive.

You will be what your username is after 10 years and by that time, we're all millionaires. Although it is uncertain what lies in the future but this is probably what the people have been thinking 10 years ago.

And where we are right now is amazing. Whatever the price will be, I'll keep holding until I'm satisfied to sell a few.

I think BTCUSD will never vanish from this planet again. It becomes more and more important to many ppl and it offers very much potential for both sides, Good and Evil. One person might use it for money laundering, the next one might use it to pay another one for a service or anything. The only thing that could possibly stop BTC, imho, is a full collapse of the global internet. Will BTCUSD ever be the most powerful currency in the world? Who knows... BUT: the younger generations are very different from what the older is. Back in the days it was about smoking chimneys and bigger better faster... Nowadays its about recycling, green products, renewable energy, cleaning the oceans and so on. So why not completely get rid of banks at the same time? They say BTC is a waste of energy. Look at what ridicules amounts of energy are used for Banks! All the offices, all the ppl driving to work, polluting the air, and then there are so many banks, all doing basically the same...?! Why not switch to cryptos, and lessen the total amount of energy wasted in the global finance market... Just a thought...

In 10 years Bitcoin price will probably be approaching $1 million. There will be between a billion and two billion people who own Bitcoin. The people who scream about it being a fraud or ponzi or scam and those who say it's gonna crash down to zero will all be gone. It will be normalized. It'll be a popular corporate treasury holding, probably some central banks and governments will hold it as a digital gold. It will probably be legal tender in a dozen or two smaller nations, where it is regularly used to purchase things through the Lightning Network. Financial advisors will finally start to understand what Bitcoin is and it'll be advised that anyone starting out investing should have a few percent in Bitcoin.

There will be far less people trying to convince everyone that there is a "next bitcoin" and that bitcoin is slow and outdated and all that hogwash. The vast majority of bitcoin mining will be done with renewable resources as the western world takes over mining and renewable energy production spreads.

Most people will just hold their bitcoin in their bank account next to their tokenized dollars or whatever other tokenized fiat, and the banks and other central services will use the LN so there will be many hundreds of bitcoin transactions happening each second on top of the 5 or 6 happening on-chain.

Halvings won't have that much of an effect on the market anymore as their significance wanes and Bitcoin never leaves the public eye in the financial world anyway.

Microstrategy will be in the top 10 corporation in the world for largest "cash" on hand thanks to bitcoin's growth.

Will Bitcoin survive ?

You asked this question and I ask, why will bitcoin not survive  Grin Huh You are a bitcoinlegend and you should know.

Before the future 10 years to come, bitcoin has survived past 10-11 years ago.The early years when bitcoin was below a dollar and when Laszlo Hanyecz used 10,000 bitcoin to buy mere pizza was the teething stage for bitcoin not anymore.

https://news.bitcoin.com/10000-financial-institutions-customers-buy-sell-hold-bitcoin-bank-accounts/

Now the banks are beginning to look into the option of bitcoin in transactions and also more bitcoin ATM are springing out in America. You see that with all that bitcoin is not going anywhere. Grin

What can we expect from the NEXT 10 years of Bitcoin? speculation in price? Will Bitcoin survive ?

Bitcoin survived for more than 11 years so what is another 10 years? if the price reached more than 64,000 in the last  11 years so then in 10 years? it can break more than a million dollars lol.
Bitcoin will survive another decade. The on/off ramps will be way more regulated. Mining will be forced to get much greener. New "next bitcoin" coins introductions will slow down. Scammers will move on to the next thing. Overall I think the bitcoin sphere will be a less erratic and cleaner place in 10 years time. 1 BTC = 1 BTC
Indeed mate, this will take another more than 10 years or more.

Don't know what to expect and I don't want to expect anything because I don't want to fantasize on things that won't have any chance of happening. I think that the only way to do it is to stick to bitcoin and stay on the industry for 10 years and see what's going to happen next, I think that's the only way to do it.

What can we expect from the NEXT 10 years of Bitcoin? speculation in price? Will Bitcoin survive ?

Definitely, if we have survived the first ten years, then I think that next will be in stride. So survival of bitcoin depends on us, so if individuals like you and me still support it, then we can outlined those anti-bitcoin, perma-bears and no-coiners.

For the price, $100k might be minimum, of course the exponential growth will have to slow-down, but if adoption continues to grow and more countries and huge companies and online stores started to accept bitcoin then we will have a good chance to see that price.

I think, bitcoin will still survive in the market for the next coming years. As companies and countries are just starting to realize the benefits of crypto in their system, it means, the lifespan of crypto in the market will thrive. Adoption is still increasing, so that means bitcoin or crypto will not die anytime soon. Based from the moving average chart of btc, we have a very positive upward movement in the coming years. So this is interesting if that will indeed happen.

I notice that the dominance is decreasing this is something to be always aware of when we are moving every year, last year dominance is very high but other coins keeps developing and covering grounds, in the next ten years there will be a lot of projects stepping up and Bitcoin's dominance will further decrease.
