I agree you cannot pick 1000x after a project gets well known to the public.You must DYOR when the project is in its infancy and invest in it and then you need to HODL on to it and keep believing and resist the temptation to sell.I think wepower token can do a good return but not sure of 1000x though

Almost, all the newly launched coins are very cheap. Take an example like the CAPP, it's price is now in dollar term is $0.22-$0.24. While it was launched just one month back the price listed on the exchange with the 4 times that is $0.05c. So, still, it has the potential to go $1 just in few months. But, if you hold this you must get 1000x. The another some coin also in its infant stage like; DIMCOIN, Datum, QLINK etc. and many more.
Making 1000x is really hard for big cap projects. Oly small and undervalued rare ones can achieve this 1000x returns. And it's almost impossible to find them in the market. They're the hidden gems, the society call them. I couldn't find any so far.
for me, xtrabytes(xby) is my number 1 choice, xrp, xvg, xlm and rdd, but any other coin has its own potencial, we never know how the developer works, only time knows.. goodluck hodlers..
Walton, Ripio Credit Network and Ethlend have potential to make 100x gain. They all are outside of Top100 crypto currencies but still have good projects. They are very undervalued. Soon they will rise to their deserved places.

I would avoid most icos. There are a few good ones, but for me its just not worth it to invest in icos unless you are 100 % sure of the team/company and the idea.

Some ideas from me: waves and biocoin. Biocoin has great partnerships in Russia and works very close with Russian regulator. Waves will fly to the moon due to its progress in Singapore.
it seems to me that you are more advertising your signature than the coins that date to X. From the waves it's foolish to expect 10-100x, x2-x3, I still believe. And the second project is still at the ICO stage, and not the fact that it will shoot.

I really believe that if you want to do time 1000 in one year, you should study ICO, make a selection of the best projects and DON'T buy during ICO, wait it to drop under 50% of ICO price and then BUY bags of it, go litteraly allin. and then sitback and relax

You should do your on diligence, but read up on Stellar/XLM and look at the meteoric rise in CMC...Buy Buy Buy!
