In some ways, the US dollar is the World Currency, and has been for years. But each country will still have its own fiat currency, both now and in the future, I believe.
So i dont think governments will unanimously agree to use a single currency for everything, this is impossible. I can see the only possibility is that there is only one country on Earth.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency traded through open source cryptographic protocols it cannot be seen or touched it is made online and used online. This currency is number one in the world of crypto but no one can give an exact indication of how long it will last there are a lot of cryptocurrencies on the internet such as ripple ethereum etc of these bitcoin is currently the first and most talked about cryptocurrency. These cryptocurrencies have some common features and some have their own characteristics that currency makers determine it has no value in itself.
The problem with bitcoin as a currency here is legalization from the government, where most countries have not been able to legalize it so that it cannot be used as a legal means of payment. therefore, currently bitcoin is more inclined to be used as an investment and trading tool
For now, i don't see bitcoin as a one world currency because it's not being supported by the government in the first place. Each country has its own medium of exchange so bitcoin might find it hard to replace its position.

Maybe in the future bitcoin will definitely become one. But for now, let's enjoy how bitcoin gives us huge profits and its incomparable bitcoin as an investment and as a good store of value.
My hope is that bitcoin, as an alternative means of payment alongside fiat, is already a great achievement. we know many countries that prohibit the use of bitcoin as a means of payment, but if we realize we are still lucky because it is not prohibited to have bitcoin until now

If theres only one currency that can be for the whole world that would definitely Bitcoin , Dollars had tried to be for the whole but does not happen up to now .
There could be a lot of candidates but this is not bitcoin for sure. How you can use it as global currency with 2 transactions per second
In time there will be the way to make it progressive , have you heard about Lightning Network? if does then best to change your view towards bitcoins transactions accuracy and speed.

Apart from the correct facts that have already been already told to you, We must acknolwedge that Bitcoin networknever had a maximum troughput of 2 transaction per second.

It is true that until now, most countries have not allowed bitcoin to be a means of payment,
I think this is inseparable from its fluctuating nature so that the government does not allow it,
currently bitcoin is only used as an investment and trade and it is very profitable

If you can split it evenly among everyone on this planet then you could probably say that it is the one world currency but in reality it is going to be difficult because A.) There is a lot of lost coins , B.) There is a lot of people, C.) There is a limited supply of bitcoin and D.) Which is the most important consideration is that how can we circulate it really fast around the globe to keep the economy working at a stable pace.

Well, Bitcoin is already divisible to 8 units. With a supply of 21 million coins, we can divide Bitcoin into 2.1 quadrillion satoshis for the whole world to enjoy. Scalability is one of the many things to consider if we want Bitcoin to reach millions of people worldwide. This, added with worldwide internet access, should make Bitcoin suitable as "The One World Currency". But I don't think governments will adopt Bitcoin as such, because of its decentralized and censorship-resistant design.

A global CBDC will fit the bill nicely as governments will be able to gain full control over people's financial life. The real issue would be getting countries to reach a common agreement. This would be impossible to do so right now, since countries worldwide are constantly in disagreement. But who knows? We may reach mass globalization in the future as the Internet and Blockchain tech change our world for the better. Once we become interconnected and Blockchain tech becomes mature for mainstream use, then we can talk about a "One World Government" and "One World Currency". Just my opinion Smiley

It is said that Bitcoin is the precursor of the "One World Currency" that will be used in a "One World Government". In the past, it has been predicted that a "One World Currency" would come into fruition as the current monetary system collapses in its entirety. It is today where we have Bitcoin, a Peer-to-Peer digital cash system that's decentralized, used globally by many people worldwide. Essentially, Bitcoin is a "One World Currency" although not backed by any government or trusted entity of any kind.

What do you think? Is Bitcoin the "One World Currency"? Or will another currency take its place in the future? If that happens, which currency do you think will become the "One World Currency"? Will it be the US Dollar, the Euro, or the Chinese Yuan? Do you think governments will unanimously agree to use a single currency for everything? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Smiley
In our world, even now there is no single world currency and it is unlikely that it will ever be.There have always been, are and will be conflicts between states, taking into account various political, economic, religious and other interests. Since the dollar claimed such a role, the countries of Europe united and created their own euro, China is now strengthening its yuan and wants it to be an international currency in the Asia-Pacific region, for which it is creating its digital yuan. That is, we see that states do not seek to have a single currency, they prefer to use regional currencies in international relations. However, such currencies definitely cannot be a decentralized cryptocurrency for states.

Ofcourse.
Bitcoin is a global currency and will definitely not be the only currency to exist, as long as autonomous human societies will continue to exist.
One World Currency would be centralized and imposed or forced on people by tyrants. Free society/people won't be part of such system. They will be living far away from the rest of the World.

I see this issue as very delicate, because opinions can hurt sensitivities, although all the ones I have read have a great degree of logic, when talking about the single currency that cannot be attributed to Bitcoin is very right, until now no one controls Nor will it control BTC, and this is a sufficient reason for the world elite not to establish it, also another of the things that can give us or intuit that it is not BTC is because there is a lot of war with BTC, banks, governments do not accept BTC, in fact many countries are beginning to launch and develop their own cryptocurrency or stablecoin.

The single currency can be created, but I think that they will never dethrone BTC nor can it be BTC. If it were BTC, it is like an ideal world and such a thing will not happen, it is lamentable but I think that such good things in the world are not capable of happening.

If there is a "One world government", that government will have its own world currency, and there is a very slim chance that this world currency will be Bitcoin. However, given the current economic and political contradictions between different countries, I am not sure that there is a possibility of such a "world government". At most, you can count on such a block of countries, but I am not sure that such large countries as the United States of America are interested in this and will simply allow this to happen, because it will undermine their leadership as a state.

The odds of Bitcoin becoming "The One World Currency" are very slim. Governments want power, so they won't allow a decentralized cryptocurrency to "break" the existing monetary system anytime soon. They might as well create a currency of their own they can easily manipulate than rely on Bitcoin for all debts public and private.

Regardless of what happens in the future, one thing is certain: the US Dollar will lose its status as reserve currency of the world. Governments from around the world will either choose a new currency that will replace the USD or simply create a "One World Currency" that will rule the world. It's most likely we'll end up with a unified monetary system that will improve the global economic order. Bitcoin might not become the "One World Currency" but it could become an alternative to what's coming in the future. This leads me wondering how the economy will look like decades from now. Just my opinion Smiley

No one can really tell what's will happen in the future all of us are just also speculating things of what might appear and what's not, but if there is indeed "One World Goverment" that wouls exist in the future, for sure there would also be a one world currency. There would agree to unite, all for one purpose to take control of the world. And if that happen they might consider bitcoin to become part of as a means to transact and trasfer money of fund easily.

Bitcoin is not a currency for the simple fact that it is not backed by any government, has a scalability of 10 minutes (too high) and its production is limited.

When someone disagree with a point that you are right and sure about, I think they are also right in their opinion. Here is why.
No matter how good something is, with proofs as an alternative to an existing system, there are this set of people that will always disagree with your point, the same applies to bitcoin and that's where my point is going in the first paragraph.
You are crypto enthusiasts and bitcoin maximalist because you know the value but not everyone will agree with the motion.
The government of a every country has something similar, greediness. As long as crypto is not controlled, they will never yield it as global currency.
