I see you love to dig forum for old posts, you must know a lot of crypto currencies.

There's a lot of hidden treasures buried in this forum. I'm gonna start a thread asking people to post their favorite old threads.

You didn't make it.

Still never made that thread, other people did, but I thought it was an appropriate time to bump this one.

I would agree that selling some of your 50k bitcoins is actually a smart move. Being too greedy can leave you with nothing.

Wonder if he kept any of them. Is keeping bitcoins considered "greedy" these days?

This thread should be revisited in Jan 2018.  Grin

In retrospect, that would have been amazingly astute timing.

I dont care much about the price, people can dump BTC to $200 and I still don't care... the math is the math.... there are only 13 million bitcoins in circulation right now and an incalculable number of dollars...

There are competition among crypto coins. It is still too earlier to say which one will dominate and how things work out in the future.

Yours are only rumor and attempt to make pain and horror to the people that have invested in bitcoin. People, sell when you want and don't hear no one ! I'm curious to read this thread in 2016, when will be btc halving.

This thread was started on "June 10, 2011, 02:57:19 PM", shortly after the high of the first huge "bubble".
Those ~3.5 years went by way too fast, and I wish we could do it over again.  Smiley

You didn't make it.

I like this:

I think the key is to get the big players involved.  Imagine if PayPal started to accept bitcoins.  It's game over for other currencies.

You're right, I totally spaced. I'm gonna save it for Monday morning. Hope you don't mind if I open it with the quote you just pasted, its a good one.

Bitcoins down to 15 bux. Still think the price isn't crashing? Ignoring evidence doesn't make you correct.

History tells a different story.  Since your post we have seen Bitcoin get to over $1000 US dollars.  As I write this, the price of Bitcoin is $400 US dollars.  What can you learn from your incorrect assumption?
Prices of markets go up and down, that is the nature of markets.

You can chastise somebody for comments they made 3 years ago, but the fact remains, they were here back then and we weren't. So, obviously they were on to something.

mining is so 2012-2013
I'm going to hold my 3 bitcoins and hope that in 5 years somebody bumps this again trying to prove that no time is a good time to sell bitcoin until it has destroyed fiat.  Then you don't sell, you just spend it.

I wonder what that guy might be thinking of right now. Holding onto 50k would have made him or her a multimillionaire by now. It's amazing how fast things can move and change and that is only probably like 3 years only.

Could have been better timed if I discovered and bumped this a month ago or so.

I like how the dudes who sold are still noobs whereas the guys who didn't are Legendary.

I'm posting this from my spare account because I don't want to be hated by the other early miners...

I'm selling my 50k BTC in staggered amounts starting from tonight, and hopefully my impact on the market will be limited.

It's just not worth sitting on this kind of uncertainty anymore.

I'll do the same with my 100k BTC y0!

Yes, I agree with this.
When dealing with money and finance, people are usually not rational but emotional.
So, when price is going down, this is perfect opportunity to buy and earn more, when price goes up.
but, instead of this, people in panic selling everything and loosing any chance for good earning.
