Actually, that's an idea.... It would give me somewhere to try this whole thing out, deal with the technical, legal, and financial issues, and not sink too much money or time into it.

I wish I'd logged on and spotted this sooner. 
I just installed Bitcoin, but have no bitcoins yet and need to acquire some. Mining appears to require dedicated machines these days; too much work. So I have to buy them or figure out something to sell for them...
Pity that none of the auction houses let you pay in bitcoins, or I could auction off the pile of duplicate books that my husband and I need to get rid of.

Seriously, calm down. Markets are about as stable as anti-matter these days, but they have always trended upwards and unless you have reason to think they won't, they'll continue to do so. Justr because the fall from $30 to $20 feels like more than a fall from $1.00 to $0.66, doesn't mean it's not exactly the same. This has happened many times now: you'll just make the daytraders richer if you 'cut your losses' IMHO.
