Now I know that some women can be pests but beating an adult is unjustifiable, except for self-defense, which is not the case here. Let us assume that the "poor man" is married to a witch, why can't he keep his distance from her and go his own way, instead of resorting to molestation?

It's here to bring awareness. Women get beat daily and are stripped of their basic human rights. They are treated worse than animals and have become basically slaves in some parts of the world.

. The bible said god created woman as a companion to man. The creation of the woman from his rib tells that they are the same flash and blood, therefore they are equal parts of the whole. Everything else is just human addition according to some tribal traditions and local customs.
