Op you are correct and I will also say the real winning is when you use the money to do something, or solved a problem then that is when you know that you have won. But whereby you win and withdraw it then use it to go and play another games in another casino then that is not a win again.

Therefore I will not really take the notion that it is only when you withdraw your wins, then you will know that you have won. Oh yes but when did you use the money do? In my gambling activities if ever I hit my target winnings, I withdraw all my funds and allocate a certain percentage for another session (specifically the same amount of my initial bankroll).  I withdrew all of the fund to limit myself from playing continuously and to save them for my next scheduled gambling session.  This works fine to me because I am able to moderate the time of my gambling activities while saving me to spend more money for my next gambling session.

 I agree that the real winnings in gambling is the amount of money a person can withdraw and use for another purpose aside from gambling activities.  But if the person is able to entertain himself, and had fun in his gambling session (without getting addicted to gambling), I think it can be considered a win - win situation for both the players and casinos regardless of the outcome of the players gambling activity.

This happened to me recently, but I was lucky that I was gambling with a little amount of money. I won a decent amount without stress and that made me feel that I am a genius and I am in myucky moment. I did not withdraw and continue playing after a while I started losing my bets. Did stop there because my instinct told me that it is my wins that I am still gambling with an not my personal money. Before you know it I blew up my wins.
