Yes quitting at the right time, ignoring greed and saying "enough is enough" is something that will be very difficult for the majority of gamblers to do, and this is a problem that often occurs repeatedly, but I know a good reason why gamblers do this. We go back to the fact that everyone loves money, they always want and need it, and gambling winnings are money and this is the reason why gamblers often apply greed in their gambling activities especially when they win rather than saying "enough is enough".
The problem with gambling is that it’s a cycle.

When you’re winning you think “I’M THE BEST. I’M ON A LUCKY STREAK. I WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MY LUCKY STREAK.” and then you lose and now all you could think is how will you get back the money you lost. Then you’ll keep playing and you will keep losing because you keep playing even if you’re losing and this cycle continues for no end until you tell yourself that this should end now.

Greed is the main motivation for this. You’re greedy for wanting more and not being content to what you have won and greedy again because you can’t let go the fact that you’ve lost and there’s nothing much to do that could get you back your money.

Yes, it means that it is the wrong mindset applied to gambling. The best thing is not to be too excessive in responding to the results of victory and still maintain the belief that the victory you managed to get is nothing more than luck, or that means luck came at the right time so that you managed to win. One of the reasons is because obviously the possibility of defeat will always lurk and it can happen at any time, especially when your luck is gone at that time.

And also I believe that by having a balanced understanding and belief in the sense of understanding that victory is nothing more than a lucky situation along with realizing that defeat will always be a part of gambling, it will make you more careful in every decision when you win or when you are in a winning situation, and this mindset will also be able to prevent you from various actions that lead to greed. In gambling, what should be prioritized is self-acceptance regarding the possibility of risk, because of course when a gambler is unable to accept the fact of losing then in the end it is like what you said where they will continue to gamble in order to catch up with the losses they have experienced, and that is a cycle that will make them lose even greater amounts of money.

Well, that's the most important thing because how can you really enjoy the winnings that you have? Wouldn't it be if you spent on what you really want? I think it's always that part but if you enjoy and like to spend it gambling again, then why not? Isn't it a cycle?
Indeed. With withdraws our wins money, we can enjoy the winnings and celebrates it with our family and friends. That will helps us to have more money in our saving and use it for many things.
That is why when we can wins much money, we must withdraw the money and not waiting for the next wins because that can not always happens. But if we can not withdraw the wins money because we are not reached the minimum withdrawal, we can keeps that money for a while and we must stops our gambling.
We can use that wins money to increase our wins money but we can use it for the other days and not that days because we must reduce our tension before we play another gambling games. We don't have to use gambling for makes money but only for have fun so our minds will not tells us to keeps playing gambling after we wins some money.

A Proud Father of Twin Girls 👧 👧
Whenever I win, I usually feel this strong urge to gamble more and also increase the amount I'm using to gamble. I do fall for this urge most times and the result is always disastrous as I end up losing the money I won with great pain and regrets. The only time I can say I have won is when I make withdrawals and possibly use the money for something else. As long as the money is still in the platform, there is a high chance of using it to gamble more. I decided to create this topic to see how other people manage their winning in gambling. If I notice a better approach, I will switch immediately as I don't want to continue experiencing the pain of winning and later losing the money again.
Frankly, withdrawing is the peak of a win when gambling because not everyone could have the ability to just withdraw their winnings and a lot of gamblers especially the online gamblers are mostly faced with feeling reluctant to withdraw their winnings with hopes of making more profits and this act at some points isn’t a good one because it has in time past shown to be one way to blow an account and get easily addicted to gambling.

What is best to do is to have a gambling budget for a day or for a round of play and then try to withdraw your winnings as soon as you hit your target and also try to have a certain amount at heart when gambling so be it in case where the odds are against you, you stop playing as soon as you hit your limit.

To get profitable and stay profitable in gambling requires discipline.

Yes whenever you win don't think of increasing your bet amount our even think of having the dream of winning an amount that could be bigger than what you had already won before. Most people have this greed nature in them because when they probably have some complete ticket that plays accordingly, the next thing they could think is that there are chances of winning more so they don't mind how much they had already won and could likely used all to gamble more to increase their chances at this point you could lose all you had sort for for just wanting to double your money.

You are very correct considering the fact that winning itself actually booster confidence where majority get carried away and at the end lost everything they have got, the logic should be, utilize your potential winning at every point in time by probably getting something for yourself to mark a land mark of your winning which will become a memorial, a wise gambler will definitely make use of the ideas that are being shared here and am really happy to be in this honorable forum, the advice is that no one should be carried away by greed and lost attempting to win more and completely lost everything that has been won, and probably this may lead to having a negative feeling towards gambling as a result  of that.

I also believe that withdrawing gambling winnings is the smartest thing to do. It is often seen that when a person gambles to win a bet, his motivation and feelings motivate him to place more bets. When I gambled I won for a while but instead of withdrawing them I put them in and later placed bets hoping for more money and lost. So I think the best thing to do is to never place bets after winning but withdraw them. If he withdraws them to pay bad then he will be able to use those money for various purposes and will be successful in doing his necessary work. But then there is an urge to deposit the money to make that bet, which is the motivation to bet to increase the money. So it is very important that when a player wins a bet it is very wise to withdraw his money otherwise he will surely lose money.

Indeed, withdrawing winnings is the most correct action that must be taken, because winnings that are difficult to obtain must be utilized as well as possible. And with winnings that are immediately drawn, I think this is only done by those who have strong self-control so that they don't need to think twice about what they should do when they win. Instead of wanting to get a bigger win, there is, and I think that's a natural thing, I think all gamblers have experienced this when they win. However, in the end it will most likely only be disappointing.

People who are wise in gambling will immediately cash in the winnings they have obtained, because I think those who are wise will not do anything that carries a big risk, including actions that lead to winnings that have been obtained, besides that there are fewer wise gamblers compared to other gamblers. which is not wise because many gamblers experience bad impacts such as losing a lot of money or other problems. Those who can win are the real winners in gambling, because they managed to control themselves so that everything was fine. Because when you win and continue betting, especially with the value of the bet increasing, the risk becomes even greater, of course the winnings you have obtained can be lost again, and this is something that happens a lot because many gamblers always follow their greed so that in the end they are just disappointed.

One thing that I know about why a gambler returns to continue their gambling session or the reason why they apply greed in themselves during this situation is that usually they think that a bigger win is near, and this happens because of an increase in dopamine in the brain which ultimately makes Their sense of trust increases and leads them to take more risky or dangerous actions. In any case or activity, greed will always be an action that can never be justified, not least because usually the results tend to always lead to something bad, and especially if it is applied to gambling which has a very high level of risk which can trigger occurrence of stress or depression. In the end and the point is that someone who always applies greed in their gambling activities will only lead them to regret, because the results in gambling can never be controlled by the gamblers but by the casino and luck.
Anyone who applied responsible gambling can never fall into this kind of mess because I noticed most of the people who are falling into this fails to follow their rules and narrow their greed index, especially after several winning they feels that all time could likely be as previous without them knowing winning doesn't come regularly. Gamblers should always read to understand how they could be able to withdraw from any casino or gambling site they bet from

Yes, for me it isn't done or final until we stop and take it out of the gambling site, no matter how much we gain if we aren't stopping or withdrawing it then we couldn't say that we won since, there is still a chance that we would continue to gamble and lose it all.
Exactly. Leaving your winning in the gambling site may result to total lost. The joy of every gambler is to win and withdraw their wining. There is a high tendency that someone may lose all his funds in gambling site because most people don't have that endurance spirit to leave their bankroll in the casino site, the spirit of addiction will make them to still spend it all. So in conclusion I will say if any person win a tangible amount, he or she should endeavour to withdraw it immediately to avoid total lost of all the fund. Though some amount may be left for staking but not all.

Cases like this have become a common occurrence, it is not surprising that many people regret it when the victory they have obtained is lost again. because when you win, the temptation to gamble again using a high bet amount will be there, so the action you take is to keep gambling by increasing the bet amount to get an even bigger win. even though when you win, the action you have to take is to withdraw half or all of it. If you still want to play, then withdraw some of the winnings you have obtained. Maybe you can withdraw the winnings equivalent to the initial capital used and play the rest of the winnings again, at least even if you lose. but the capital used has been returned.
It's true what you say, even though we don't use the money for important things, it's better to withdraw it. Apart from that, we have to be aware of the gambling we do, however, it will most likely only make us lose the money we bet, so don't waste it. the winnings that have been obtained even though the winnings are equivalent to the capital used.

Yeah, at least we have to be able to return the capital we spent previously - at least when we lose we don't use all our gambling winnings just to gamble - returning the capital from gambling is the most important thing we need to do. Because we don't know when we will use the gambling winnings to gamble again, even when we say that gamblers should be able to restrain themselves, but in practice this is quite difficult and there is no need to be surprised that we'll gamble again, because our subconscious desires to win again, and without us realizing it, this is what often makes us lose control of our gambling.

A gambler needs to have a very strong willpower to take the winnings and leave quietly. I think that at the moment of such a win, the player experiences a huge storm of emotions and it is very difficult for him to control himself. His imagination draws pleasant dreams of what he can buy with the money he wins.
But then every gambler thinks: Damn it, what if I bet this money and win? I can completely change my life.

And then many gamblers make the wrong choice and ...They lose everything they just had in their hands.
perhaps it is more about needing to have discipline than will, because with discipline they inevitably have to withdraw when they have won, with will it still makes sense too but it is the same as having discipline which might be forgotten when they are mastered by greed. Indeed, when players experience a win like that, they test themselves by whether or not they can take and carry out the right actions, because if they cannot withdraw their winnings, their emotions and greed will control them, which could make them lose their winnings again because they follow their greed.
Thoughts like that will only exist, because for those who win, of course it is prize money so they can bet a high enough amount to win, but it is clear that it is most likely just imagination because the most likely thing that will happen is losing the money back. at stake. It is not surprising that many victories have been wasted because they followed thoughts that led to careless actions, and that is a problem for each individual.

I think that this is not like the evolution of a player, in which when he first wins big, he will never leave and will definitely return and lose everything he previously won. Therefore, next time if this happens, he will be prepared and will probably think about what to do several times, and if he learns quickly from his mistakes, then he will be able to leave. At least I don’t know a single player who would leave with a win immediately and never come back again, so all players need to go through this stage to become more experienced. Although many will do this constantly, without thinking that the winnings need to be withdrawn and spent, they will only count virtual profits and not for long. And having a game plan is very important, but those who plan and stick to their plan are almost non-existent.

But then every gambler thinks: Damn it, what if I bet this money and win? I can completely change my life.

And then many gamblers make the wrong choice and ...They lose everything they just had in their hands.

All of this can happen because of the increase in dopamine levels in their brains which makes them assume or imagine everything that is big or beautiful, their brains and minds will be fully focused on big wins, and as we know that when someone is faced with the name of a winning opportunity, they will usually forget other things such as the risk of losing which actually continues to lurk them all the time.

Imaginations that depict beautiful dreams due to increased dopamine levels in the brain make them feel more confident and that is what encourages a gambler to apply greed in himself in order to get a much bigger win, or in order to realize the dreams that are always imagined in his mind. When we talk about gambling, it is clear that it is a mindset and belief that will ultimately only lead them to a more significant level of regret and disappointment, especially when it turns out that the results are really losing. And also this is the reason why an addicted gambler is very difficult to apply good self-responsibility in his gambling activities.

The fact is that when a player is lucky and wins big money, he is very happy, the brain remembers these incredible emotions on a subconscious level and after some time thoughts begin to come to experience the release of endorphins again. But this craving for winning again won't actually bring us the same intense emotions as the first time, so it has less emotional value. I want to advise those who win, be prepared for the fact that soon you will want to play again, but it is better not to do this, because it will suck the player in like a funnel, loss after loss, the player will believe that this will happen again, but it will not happen. You need to be in the game and tell yourself the word stop, if you don’t learn to do this right now, then the player will be doomed to lose in any case.
People, winning makes one very happy. There's no doubt about it. Thats a high, a rush difficult to surpass. The wisest people, though, are aware of when they should walk away. Winning isnt just about the money. It has to do with your feelings. It starts your brain humming, and that buzz can become addicting. You begin to pursue that sensation, and before you realize it you have lost sight of the original reason you began gambling.

As it happens, you cannot always win. Its about enjoying the game - not allowing it to rule you. You so have to be wise. You have to have a plan.n And that plan has to include knowing when to stop. Its about understanding yourself, not about stopping just ahead. Its about understanding that winning is fantastic, but its not the only thing that matters.

Everyone has a different view on this matter. For you, maybe winning is how best you can withdraw your winnings from the gambling site, but for me, how can I manage my emotions when I lose and not continue the game just to catch up and recover from my losses, that's also it can be called a win too, after all victory cannot be measured by money alone because there are other things that can be considered a win, for example, as I said earlier, being able to control yourself is also called winning the game even though you lost at gambling.

Losing at gambling is not just about losing money, it all depends on people's mindset and views on losing and winning in gambling. The point is that when we win but our greedy behavior still controls ourselves, we will definitely continue to play and lose that money. but if we win but we can manage our emotions and control ourselves, we will definitely have won against ourselves and it will certainly be very easy to stop gambling and then withdraw all the winning money easily without any pressure to continue playing.vv

Whenever I win, I usually feel this strong urge to gamble more and also increase the amount I'm using to gamble. I mean something like this is happening in every gambler I believe because I felt too especially if I win the game and join the daily leadabord oh oh the feel is cant stop and just want to be a number one in the chart and sometimes I lost it all after win a lot.

and if you said that "The real winning of gambling is withdrawals" I would 10000% agree with you because withdrawing from the casino is the real winning to in my opinion
We are the real winner if we can gets the money or withdrawals the wins money to our wallets. If we only keep it in our gambling account, we are not feels the money because we can't use the money for other things. It's different if you gets the money in your wallet than your gambling account.

Being one of the list on the daily leaderboard is different than we have the wins money because the daily leaderboard will be change every day, especially if many gamblers actively playing gambling on that site. You don't have to be on the list in the daily leaderboard because that will makes you spends much money to be on that lists. You will compete with the other gamblers who will use big money to gambling and wants to be on that lists. We can agree that winning on gambling is difficult so we must takes the wins money if we can withdraws because that will be mean for us. We can show the wins money to other people or keep it for ourselves.

Agree to both points, if you can call a day whether you win or you lose then it prevents you to lose a lot, though most of the time gamblers who experienced losses wanted to re-try and aim to recover back those losses, and eventually they will just add it up to their losing amount, as far as you understand how to enjoy and how to control and handle your emotions, quitting is the best counter to avoid making mistakes and lose more than you can afford to let go.

this comes to a thing that sounds easy but is actually quite hard
knowing when to stop
knowing when to say "that's enough"
who'd say that calling it a day would be a skill after all
I often see more people who can't do it than the opposite.

If we look from the normal side then yes of course everyone does need money, but the problem is that they dedicate themselves in terms of finding money in the wrong place, because after all gambling is not always about winning but the possibility of losing will also always be a sure thing, and we come back to another fact that everyone will never like the name of losing money, especially in large amounts, while gambling is always a risky activity, and because of this what makes them ultimately emotional when everything does not go according to expectations. What this means is that putting your hopes in a place of probability only increases the likelihood of regret.

Agree to that, it's easy to say but executing it in real situation is a tough decision to make, as from both sides whether you are winning or you are losing the urge of keep playing always inside you, calling it out for the day or pausing your sessions is a skills that experienced gamblers developed inside them.

It's a system that they learned thru time and from those past experienced that allows them to think wiser compared from their previous sessions and over exceed from thier own set limits.

There's no need to be upset
The real winning in gambling is being Okay wether "win or loss". The real winning is never about winning always but even at confronting times we are still okay about our losses, OP your problem or fight should be centred on having discipline and follow rules not shying away looking for medium to avert your sorrow while the problem is you.

The only fight I every guaranteed is winning against emotions and confidence about losses, meaning when we withdraw we are also contented.

You may have a point on this. That is true somehow, real winning is when you finally call it a day, and you have no issues whatever with your gambling activities. That you can move forward without regrets or any financial difficulties brought by your games.
If you believe you can sleep better knowing what happened with your games, then, that's true winning.
But the reality is, most gamblers are not contented even if they just got their winnings. Their next action is usually to bet again and aim for higher stakes. Hence, most will subject themselves to losing again.
