I was asked by a friend why I don't promote Bitcoin { why i hated it} but love promoting altcoins. My reply was that Bitcoin can't give me 1000-5000% ROI in 2-3years time anymore but with altcoin that is possible.
Well, I don't disagree with you about the potential gains in altcoins. Alts will continue to have much, much higher gains than BTC. It takes much less money to pump those markets up; they are very "thin" markets with little liquidity. Bitcoin isn't particularly liquid as far as markets generally go, but it is
much more liquid than alts.
That doesn't justify "hating" Bitcoin, though. I love Bitcoin's technology and I cherish the Core developers. The community is easy to hate because of the constant infighting and fork attempts from all sides (like BIP148, BCH, B2X), and because they largely mark any project which isn't BTC as a "scam." But Bitcoin is still the king, and that is unlikely to change. You should appreciate BTC, because without its success, altcoins are likely to suffer.
