There really isn't many coins available. The coins needs more liquidity on the buy and sell side. Blockchain wise, Ixcoin is very good.

This is probably why Andreas planted the seed a few weeks ago about how good it would be for Bitcoin to change its name. Looks like they may actually break Bitcoin in two. I presumed this wouldn't happen if they reached a deal at Consensus2016 last week.
