I have previous experience and am a long term investor for Bitcoin and ethereum. It's been through 2x Halvings that happened while I was in the crypto space. So I'm sure of what I'm holding right now and waiting for the 4th Halving to happen. cycles keep changing and those changes have a good impact and also some have a negative impact, but looking at the history of Bitcoin it is always bullish when halvings occur after halvings. Holding it from now on is a good idea and selling it when a new ATH is reached. There's nothing more enjoyable than holding on long term and enjoying the benefits of that long term.

Usually when people are referring to "holding long-term" they mean holding through multiple cycles and not trying to time the market (sell high - buy low). You've mentioned the you're a long-term holder but also that you intend to sell at he next ath, which is a bit contradictive.
How will you determine when it is a good time to sell? Most people who intend to ride cycles don't have a clue how to determine that, which metrics to use or don't have any buying/selling strategy. And the worst approach is to make emotionally-driven decisions.

It takes experience though to have this kind of mindset, unless you really have the experience before as a investors in other commodities and assets. But for sure, majority of us here are first timers here, so we don't have plan A or plan B.

But then again, as we go to this every 4 year cycles and the bear/bull market, we understand how the market works and how we should have like a strategy in the first place. Like if the price decline, then take it as a buying opportunity.

Now with the recent events that have taken place, we all can see the bull rising off the dusts, we can almost tell it's about to happen again, maybe by next year or two.  Huh

I would love to know you all's predictions for the next bull. I'm thinking anywhere around $100,000? May looking at how far the previous bull runs were able to reach, I think that would be a good price to place it 😊👍, but I'm still open to whatever wild opinions you all may have. Roll Eyes
There is no point in listening to random predictions who claim that the price of BTCitcoin would reach half a million dollars, there might be a point in time where it might reach those valuations but you cannot expect that to happen in a short period of time.

It is hard to predict how the market will react even after the next halving, the overall market condition should be favorable as well to see a promising rally, we all know that the recession is looming and it will be affecting many countries and that might have an impact as well.

Of course everyone thinks that the next bull run can touch $100k or more, I'm also optimistic that the next bull run can reach $100k, if you look at the current market conditions, of course we have to be realistic that a bull run will be difficult to happen in the near future, as long as there are no strong trigger factors so it will be hard to see $100k in the near term, naturally it's possible that $100k price will occur in at least 3 years.

It is quite possible that in the fall we will see the bitcoin price fall to 20000-23000, so it may be worth waiting to buy bitcoin until the fall. And in the spring of 2024, we may already see a global rise in bitcoin. This is an assumption based on the history of previous years
That way we need to prepare everything to be ready for this market scenario. There must be some reserves owned as well as strategies A and B. If the decline occurs to $ 20k-$ 23k it will be a good buying opportunity, so that you have enough assets to hold when the halving occurs. the increase of achieving a new ATH is everyone's wish.

Please, read before replying, I don't need comments that are off point lol.

The last bull run had everyone on the tip of their toes, a lot of people strongly believed that Bitcoin's (BTC) price was going to reach, or possibly cross, the $100,000 price range, which never happened. And there were some who had unbelievable expectations like $500,000 and above, lol (we all know that's not happening anytime soon).

It is definitely coming, I believe a price between 120k and 150k is the most likely scenario, which is why sometimes I wonder what are some people thinking? The price is around 29k at the time I am writing this, if this prediction is true then this means profits around 300% to 400% in a matter of just a few years, not many assets can give those profits and from those not many are as good as bitcoin, this makes bitcoin an incredibly good investment and if someone puts a significant amount of money forward and invest in it they could still definitely change their life for the better by doing so.

We all saw it when the price of Bitcoin reached its peak. But if we want to say how much the next bull market will improve, then of course the price of Bitcoin will be $100k. Many have predicted that the price of Bitcoin will see a great bull market around 2024-25 where Bitcoin will once again reach its all-time high. Bitcoin price is currently in a bear market, but when the time comes, the market will bounce back and continue to move higher. There is no doubt that we will see a massive bull market when the price of Bitcoin reaches $100,000. But it is true that Bitcoin will go to $500,000 but it will take a long time and we will see it as a matter of waiting.

No one knows anything about it, and no one will ever know anything about the future price of BTC. We're not able to see the future, nor the actuality events which are going to happen, and even if the next halving approaches, no one can guarantee 100% that a bull run will happen again in reality.

Everything is unknown because of volatility if future was predictable then no one will be in fear of lossing money and everyone will rushes towards the success, there will be no one who face defeat.

Everyone says about halving but who knows that what will be the results of halving? there is no surety that because of halving price will go to 100k$ or more and bull season will initiate.

It will be better decisions to hold bitcoin for longer time so whenever the price become appreciable you will take profit from it because there is no surety but a hope is always there for good profit.

There are millions of people following, trading, and using Bitcoin around the globe, and all those people have a prediction of their own, but none of them are really sure what's going to happen. We all want the price of Bitcoin to go as high as possible because we will get more profits that way, but we try to stay within the area that looks and feels realistic, so even though I feel like the price would go above $100k, I would say that it might go around $80k and start dropping from there.

The whole cryptocurrency community is expecting the price to start going up around or after the halving event coming up next year, so most of the people are definitely going to start buying around that time and that will start pushing the market and that is when we will start the bull run initiating.

The right time to buy more has come, when some time ago many people dreamed of being able to buy at prices below $30k then the opportunity has come, if we miss it we will regret it and hope today's price can happen again.

I expect (or better said, I hope) that we will cross the 100k mark this time. Let's take into account that in 2020 the price of Bitcoin fell below 4k because of the first Covid-19 news, to reach almost 70k in the ATH one year after. So, considering that support has nothing to do with the one we tested back in 2020, chances are that we smash the last resistance.

On the other hand, if we reach that point, we'll see a huge sell wall at 100k that will be very hard to cross. But, in the event we do it, things can get really crazy, as it will be total uncharted territory.

you say this:

I don't need comments that are off point lol.

But you yourself asked this of others:
but I'm still open to whatever wild opinions you all may have. Roll Eyes

Then you laugh at this:
And there were some who had unbelievable expectations like $500,000 and above, lol (we all know that's not happening anytime soon).

But it's cute asking for this:
I would love to know you all's predictions for the next bull

As a result, you need to know that speculation means you will receive various kinds of crazy prices that other people want to reach, be it $ 100K, $ 500K, or even $ 1 Million for predictions or speculation. Especially considering the bull run that will occur in the future. So enjoy various Bitcoin speculators and then we will all see for ourselves.  Grin

There are a lot of predictions for the price of Bitcoin in the next bull that is expected to be after the halving, most of them are optimistic about the price rise and surpassing the previous ATH, while others are overly optimistic and expect a crazy rise.

For me, the best prediction for the price of Bitcoin in the next bull is the area between 90-120K$, I see this number as reasonable and accepted by a lot of analysts.

But in the end, I cannot confirm precisely because these remain just predictions, and any major change can occur that changes all these predictions.

The most voted prediction is $100k and I also see that bitcoin can easily hit that target. But I also belong to the group of over-optimists about the next bull run and I believe this will be the biggest bull run ever for the whole market, not just bitcoin. The reason I believe so is because the price increase season will coincide with the new cycle of the world economy, we enter the period of recovery and development after the crisis. Second, the regulation of cryptocurrencies is slowly taking shape and we will soon be regulated in the future. So this will be a big bull run before everything is framed and managed, IMO.

Unfortunately we did get close to this without any established institutional investors and we would have pulled it off had it not been regulation , Elon Musk careless tweets and hacks that happened during this period...

And there were some who had unbelievable expectations like $500,000 and above, lol (we all know that's not happening anytime soon).
This price is still possible as bitcoin has no ceiling to stop its growth Wink

Now with the recent events that have taken place, we all can see the bull rising off the dusts, we can almost tell it's about to happen again, maybe by next year or two.  Huh
We have ample time to make this happen with institutional investors expected to join this crypto space.

Short term am thinking anything between 45k to 65k is very much possible!

Long term, we might be definitely looking at the $100K mark which get the attention of the big boys to jump in..

What recent events? Can you elaborate more on this? I don't see any big bullish news about Bitcoin right now.

The time for what has some? Isn't this the most clickbait forum thread title I've ever seen. Time to buy or time to sell? Grin
The BTC price had dropped from 30K to 29K USD(which is close to nothing). Why are you acting as if some major Bitcoin price pump is happening right now? The bull run is going to happen in late 2024 or early 2025. The end of 2023 is going to be stagnant for Bitcoin/crypto.

You just have to back to 2017 prediction, after we reach almost $20k, there are predictions that we are going to march towards $50k, which didn't happen. And then for sure you have heard about PlanB's S2F model which predicted $100k in 2021, and again, similar pattern emerges, we didn't crack that 6 digit. However, in this cycle, a new all time high could be established around that price that has been predicted in 2021. So I think this time we can do it, just a question on when we are going to unlocked that price. It could be at the end of 2025, at the tail end of a bull run, like the December 2017 and November 2021 peak.

I think $100K will be a very good result for a peak of the next bull run, because it will fit into the current pattern of reducing peak-to-peak relative growth. We went from 1.3K to 20K to 69K, so 100K will be only 50% increase from the previous peak. But the worst outcome if the market will peak even before the previous ATH - that will be a major bearish signal, it would mean that Bitcoin is overpriced and the subsequent bear market will be brutal.

You need to take into account the market cap. You can’t say that going from $50K to $100K is only 100% gain easy since we went from $3000 to $69000 last cycle. When we are in these mid high 5 figure prices then it means that you need a huge influx of money to support it. Not easy to do especially since retail is going away at the moment and going back to stocks.
