1st European player to reach 100 goals with his nation, the record is 109
I'm not surprised of any record when it comes to this guy #Christiano Ronaldo a.k.a CR7, he always has a way to archeivements, breaking and setting records.

Camavinga was very good in the game against Croatia and I herd a lot of good things about him. He definitely has a lot of potential and most important thing for him is too keep it real and not let fame hit him too hard. I actually think Rennes is perfect place for him to play at least one more season. He is still a kid, just 17 years old and now is the time to grow into men shoes and not run for the money. Money will come quite soon anyway but those few formative years he has left will be gone, better he spends them in his "home" club with his family keeping him on the right path.
I doubt any player would really care about fame during this era of pandemic, having no fans on the pitch even if you know they are behind the screen lives the players in a better position to focus on the games and give it their best.
The issue of money is what I can't tell but then, they've got their managers to put that in check. One thing about the fall of young stars is, running of to big teams just because they made a bid for them and then, they get signed and are often on the bench having very little playing time which gradually but surely demoralizes the player, makes them feel like a second half or extra time player and the next you know, their career takes a back seat.

I didn't even bet on a single of these games tomorrow night guys! I'm wondering if I should?

Some of the juicy potential upsets this week if I catch the odds early by tomorrow morning on Fairlay could be Swiss against the Spanish? Belgium vs England? England play friendly Wales tomorrow so we might get a clue (Wales is 10/1 on that too).

I forgot to mention, that guy who became the youngest debutant in France's history (Camavinga I think - the left footed centre mid from Rennes) will be one hell of a player.

It is so evident from 30-ish minutes that he played, his calmness on the ball, positioning and overall 'feel' for the game is world class already. Never heard of him before, Googled a bit later and the price tag is already 70+ million Grin
Yeah first time I saw him was in that game vs Croatia and he did well. He is still young and deserves to join a better team / league imo.

So Griezmann got to 21 assists for France national ( 25 has Henry ) and Ronaldo just scored his 101th goal with Portugal and this is freaking amazing as he is still a scoring machine despite his age and you cannot admire Ronaldo for his passion and hard working dedication. Now, when it comes to Nation League, I'm finally happy that Romania has a proper squad who can fight with anyone as the game against Austria was clearly in our favor.

This article makes me more surprising on Ronaldo records, on international level in the Europe. Ronaldo has beaten and ride a very long way than other predecessors, in Portugal and in Europe.

The combined goals of Pauleta and Eusebio are less than Ronaldo's. What an impressive player!

Quote
– Ronaldo’s total of 101 is as many as the all-time leading goalscorers of France (Thierry Henry, 51) and the Netherlands (Robin van Persie, 50) combined.

– Pauleta and Eusebio, Portugal’s second and third highest goalscorers of all time, have 13 fewer international goals combined than Ronaldo.

1st European player to reach 100 goals with his nation, the record is 109
Now Ronaldo (Portugal) stays only behind Ali Daei (Iran) in the top scorers for national teams. Ali Daei makes his record in Asia, Ronaldo makes it in Europe. He is the first European player hits the 100th goal for national team.

Ronaldo with this record has beaten Messi who has only 70 goals for Arghentina (138 caps).

My handicap passed a bit harder than I thought (also with Vlašić hitting the post in the 90th minute), I did not expect us to score 2 goals last night.

The overall quality of the whole match was really poor, France is a horror to watch with 3 CB's. Without Varane they couldn't play from the defence at all and we were good in some of our pressing movements. However - the same things are happening to us in all games - we simply cannot keep up the concentration levels high enough and we are making silly mistakes that always cost us the game.

It will be tough against Sweden because we really are not at a good level.

Congratulations on a brave move, although at first it seemed that your bet would not pass - but as we all concluded, the game is played for 90 minutes, and the Croatian players do not have concentration throughout the game. The French tactic was obviously to let Croatia spend as much power as possible in the first half, and then they reversed the result in just a few minutes. A defense that concedes 8 goals in 2 games is definitely for a complete reconstruction - and players like Kramaric shouldn't be in the starting lineup because that man literally didn't do anything in last night's game.

Nothing is over yet, because realistically these were the most difficult away games - and in a month the form of some players will certainly be much better - realistically Croatia has a chance to stay in Group A if they beat Sweden as hosts and play a draw with Portugal and France.

Glad this is over for now & we can see the start of the PL on the weekend. I really enjoy the World Cup & the Euro’s but I just can’t get excited about the Nations League. It just seems excessive & forced, I don’t feel like we need another tournament but that’s just me.

I am disappointed with Croatia but what to say about England? They have the best league in the world and couldn't make a single goal opportunity in the whole first half against Denmark. They were poor against Iceland and even worse against Denmark. Did not watch the second half so I am wondering if England midfield managed to look a bit better after Grealish came on. I can't believe he can't get into first team while Maddison is out injured and they opt to play with no creativity from midfield.

I don't understand the return to 3 CB's from top nations. England played with 3 at the back as well and same as France - struggled to create anything meaningful for 2 consecutive games.
Their national team was never a match for the league itself - if you look at all the stats, there are rarely any Englishmen at the top. They have a great offensive line - but it isn't any good if you can't bring the ball to them. Rice and Phillips? It's simply not good enough.
You don't need wing backs behind Sancho and Sterling. You are just taking up their space.

We were much better than in first game against Portugal, and who knows how it would have ended if first half ended at 40th minute. As you pointed out we must be better at keeping concentration trough whole game. Add to that our quite poor quality of defenders, especially on full back positions and it isn't surprising we are conceding so many goals.

Very good match between Croatia and France.
It's strange to say after the defeat but most of the game Croatia was better.
Again the defense was very poor.
It's not Croatia from the world cup but there are good young players there.

That is I think the main point of Uefa Nations League to give more space to young promising talents. This is what I have seen in many different teams and not only in Croatia.Western Balkan teams always have had really bad defense team players and they have conceded some funny goals.

Thanks man! But at the same time for me it was sad to realize how much our football have fallen in last decade. Now there is no easy opponents for us, we are on same level with these minor countries. While maybe 10 year ago we had players in Top European leagues and were above Belgium in FIFA ranking. Hope this win will start rise from the bottom.

I totally understand you here. I am old enough to remember when Yugoslavia was a powerhouse, and old enough to remember the amazing teams from my regions in Asia too, where we were even good enough to reach World Cup with a whole team of parttimers (so I love the stories of teams like Iceland) but now with full-time professionals we can't even get past our region qualifiers. Now we can meet so-called thired-world countries and lose. Asian football is a lost cause:(

Belgium should be able to beat Iceland relatively easily today, and I guess Belgium should be able to score more than 2 goals against Iceland at the final whistle. England have managed to achieve a lucky victory against Iceland in their last match, but I think England will not be getting 3 points from Denmark today, as there is a high chance for this match to ends up in a draw.

Spot on right there with your calls, man. I didn't do a Belgium match as odds weren't good for me but I certainly took England at 2/1, I should have gone for the draw as you predicted or handicap Belgium even. I know they were playing like shit but I thought they'd want to secure the win as discussed yesterday to lose the talk of scandal. Three Lions, yup.

It is already 20 minutes in the game and Belgium scored 2 goals after it already received one from Iceland!
For Croatia game, it is interestingly leading with 1 goal vs France  Wink
Belgium eventually won the game by walloping Iceland 5-1 Michy Batshuayi scoring two goals in the match I thought the Icelanders will match their

opponent and gave them a run for their money 5n the match but I was highly disappointed

France also won their match against Croatia 4-2 was the final score with both Antoine Griezmann and Olivier Giroud scoring a goal apiece in the absence

of highly rated duo of Pogba and Mbappe.

Well, this is already an old story.  Shocked

He also scored the 101st goal -8 to the all-time record history.

GOAT
I think he can make it during this competition and maybe euro 2021 lol.
Those 2 goals scored today were fantastic especially the 2nd one.
There were other impressive goals too in the other games!
