Slava Ukraini!
I took live Malta ML against San Marino @1.75 and now they're leading 2:0. Not bad, considering that pre-game odds for it was just 1.28.
In League A I expect that today finaly we will avoid upsets. Spain looks heavy favorites against Czech Republic. Portugalalso looks better than Switzerland probably.
In league B there is interesting game between two Northern neighbours Sweden and Norway

Portugal v Switzerland and the Czech Republic v Spain... While there is little doubt that Spain will win, the statistics for head-to-head encounters show that Switzerland have more often won against Portugal... I think that in this match you can try to make a bet that both teams will score at a good odds of 1.9...
Usually Switzerland always plays well but I don't know now but my choices are Portugal and Spain as my respective betting opportunities.
The Nations League for me is difficult to predict, like yesterday's match France and Belgium they lost, this slightly missed what I expected, so this was the right choice as an opportunity too.
Yes, I agree that Nations League is difficult to predict, because these competitions have no meaning for the national teams, and they were invented to replace friendly matches... National teams probably won't risk their players getting injured before the upcoming World Championships... But I think the Portugal vs Switzerland match has the same chances of winning...
Kevin De Bruyne once criticized this competition but what can this be? It has become a rule that even though some players don't have the spirit to avoid risk but the match must go on, and for me I'm still happy that there is a football match between the leagues which is ending.

So even with my predictions, but this will be a surprise again if one of them is predicted to miss too.

England lost to Hungary for the first time in sixty years If anyone watched the first half of Hungary vs England would know that all Hungary attacking threat were from Trent wing which Hungary players failed to Capitalize their chances if you think it's a lie watch the highlights Trent defensively was horrible first half

Portugal and Spain on paper will win, but at this moment I personally would prefer to avoid betting on the winning team and prefer to choose other options such as both teams to score or about over/under. It's hard to convince myself in this match because a big name team or a team that has a lot of great and famous players, it still doesn't guarantee they will win. So I personally predict the match will not have many goals or will not be more than two goals, so maybe I will bet both teams to score is no, or bet under.

I have a feeling that most players don't really care about the Nations league. Some of them even say it openly.
Still - insane results in the last few days. Betting on outsiders would have brought a fortune.

Croatia playing at home to France - might be another painful game although I doubt it can be worse than we were against Austria.

Players, managers, coaches I think have all said it (well not all, but I definitely remember a few quotes here and there). And that's a bit of a shame to me.

Personally thought this tournament was a bit of a nonsense one we didn't need when it first came out BUT if you're signed up to play and you've eventually agreed, why not make the most out of it right? It's still going to count as competitive caps for players too so I don't get the attitude.

In the end I've managed to enjoy it, largely because of Europa/Conference club national teams haha.

Man Croatia needs to not let me down again.

Really unbelievable stuffs are happening in the Uefa nations league, yesterday we saw France lose to Denmark even after they took the lead, and we also saw Nederland humble Belgium and today we are saw England with a Star packed team lose to Hungary, really amazing stuff, Maybe this can be linked with the bigger teams players having still much to do in the closing stages of the season, in general it has been an entertaining Uefa nations league so far.
I have that same feeling probably those players who play in the major leagues are exhausted and fatigued, for instance Alexander-Arnold who play virtually every games for Liverpool who are chasing four trophies could have been tired same with some players who play other leagues too, consequently could have lead to some of them losing form, the nation league should be played during the league matches maybe in some fixtures in weekends, I watched England vs Hungary the English team didn't live up to expectations.
Fatigue factor will certainly greatly affect performance but I think in this tournament many teams are not too focused so that there are many results that are beyond the expectations of many people, I think so after seeing the number of negative results received by the big teams in the last few days.
England's defeat was one of the unexpected things that happened again, I lost a lot of my bets in this tournament, many surprises happened.

I feel that player’s are exhausted and they’re not really focused for these matches, and I wonder in a World Cup year were these matches even needed?. Furthermore I’m no longer surprised by the results as I have already said that we should expect many unexpected results, and England could have performed way better but it’s fine because I’m sure that they’ll perform better in upcoming matches.

I don't see a new topic about Nations League 2021/2022 in this section apart from Sportsbet prediction pool discussion thread. Should we continue here after updating the OP or create a new one? Games already started since June 1st and there is some interesting results there

I see that people have already started talking about the new season here in this thread. However, I think it would be better to create a new thread for the UEFA Nations League 2022/2023 season since the OP has been inactive for a long time and will most likely not return to update this thread's title and intro post. Who here has experience in creating such threads?

I will never know the meaning of this competition, it is the most useless cup ever done by FIFA.

Anyway, this evening we got the 1st Italy after Chiellini, will the phoenix be reborn again?

1-1 with Germany is not a bad result but... it is not strong Germany anymore.

When it comes to UEFA, the meaning is very simple. Money and more money and more money  Grin
Previously, friendly matches were played at this time, which were not very profitable for UEFA.
Now UEFA has invented another competition that brings extra money from sponsors and TV rights, and what the footballers themselves think about this competition, who have to play it at the end of a very difficult football season, UEFA bureaucrats are not interested in anyway.
It's obvious that the footballers are very tired and not very focused on this competition, and that is why we have a lot of surprising results such as defeats of Belgium or Croatia.
As for Italy, they are a very good team but they are obviously in a big crisis at the moment.

Professional players will not complain about the fatigue factor because they have months of training preparation before competing in several leagues at once, they also have a vulnerable time difference of several days for each game and the coach is in control to replace each player if the stamina of each player has decreased. So I don't think the fatigue factor of 1 player makes a football match not optimal.

The only meaningful result among the last games was the one between Italy and Germany I guess. Their performances were not too different than each other and the game ended up with a 1-1 draw. I think that the biggest teams of this tournament don't take the UEFA Nations League very seriously. That must be the reason why they all get very shocking results. I lost some money by making bets on the games too and I have decided not to do it for this tournament anymore.  Grin

For two days, I have seen very interesting results in the Nations League. Belgium's unbelievable loss against Netherlands was very unexpected to me for example. Netherlands literally tore Belgium apart by a 4-1 result. I was expecting Belgium to be the winner here in fact. I don't have any idea about how they messed up this much. Croatia and France also got unexpected results as they both lost. And today, England lost to Hungary by 1-0.  Grin  It is like all of the highly favourite teams are continuing to lose and I wonder when it will end.

this is all a big nightmare, i lost money because i bet on england and they lost, it seems that all great teams come to this tournament, they play but they are not playing with motivation, these results are shocking because these great teams go to world cup from here a few months ago and they are losing against low level teams

In the first match of the UEFA Nations C League, Group 1, Turkey defeated the Faroe Islands 4-0. It was an easy match for Turkey. The goals were scored by Cengiz Ünder, Halil Dervişoğlu, Serdar Dursun and Merih Demiral. In the other match of the group, Luxembourg defeated Lithuania 2-0 away. I think the absolute favorite of this group will be Turkey.
No other favorite can be shown in the group that Turkey is already in.  The other 3 teams are not strong enough to beat Turkey.  They played very well against Portugal in the World Cup qualifiers, but maybe they are not in the World Cup today because Burak missed the penalty kick.  That's why they should come out of the league by winning different in weak Nations League groups.

if we look at the scary results that the big teams had I would say that I will not bet on that tournament anymore because it is very unpredictable, turkey can also lose against some weak team, because it will also follow the trend of not taking this tournament seriously and also because almost or all players are on vacation, they are not playing on local teams so it makes sense that in this tournament they don't give their best to win games because all players are tired

Some people call it a glorified friendly but I see some level of competitiveness in it...it's been a fun having the nations League back...interesting games were played and we saw how the likes of France and England were exposed to weaker teams,, at the end a trophy is given which quality's it as a competition,,the positive thing teams and coaches will take from this nations League apart from the trophy is the experimenting of their various plans and integrating new players into the team,, handing them debute so as to keep them match fit for the major tournaments like the world cup etc,, France ,, England and Belgium are teams that lost and will go back and look at what went wrong in order to gain momentum towards the world cup .
The problem with most of this nation is that they have alot of quality players but they are lacking the perfect positioning. A nation like England have alot of quality players that can win them alot of trophy, but I think they are lacking the perfect positioning, and they are confused on how to use them cause they don't have a standard first eleven team. You see them changing players in different matches. So I think if nation's like England, Belgium France Germany and Brazil can make use of their players perfectly, they stand a chance of winning alot of trophies.
