Lol.  Askren? Boxing? You must be kidding. Check any of his fights, when he is in mount or punching from being behind. He has so weak punches, even my grandma punches harder. He wins by tko only if the opponent is tired or bored protecting.

Btw would love to watch Khabib vs Olivera fight. Oliveira must be one of the person who could counter Khabibs wrestling (19/30 wins are by submission).

Conor will probably want to fight again with Dustin Poirier in some trilogy match that will only bring money for both of them, but I doubt that will be in year 2021, and now he has long 180 suspension because of injury in his last fight.

Oh, have you guys seen the news about Ben Askren fighting with Jake Paul in boxing match on April 17 Smiley ?
Now he only needs to resist and not go with his wrestling habits in one more money-only fight:

I thought McGregor would win, but I was betting on Porier. It seems to me that McGregor got some insecurity and that's why he's losing. He really is weaker now than before. In 2017 he was a top fighter, but now I don't know what's going on with him

True, this should be an easy fight for McGregor, but looks like his era it's over, Connor, used to be a great fighter but now is more a businessman. If we look at the conference after the fight I would say he bet on his loss... Isn't the same hostile McGregor that he used to be in the past.

No way he faces Gaethje.  Lol.  I mean right after losing to Poirier?  I think we’ll see retirement.  McGregor’s goal since losing at 229 was always a rematch vs Khabib.  There’s no chance of that happening now.  Why fight?  He has all the money and all the other stuff he needs to retire.

Because of a contract. Dana White would not let him so easily. Who would let such a milking cow for free? Cheesy Even though UFC has other loud names, McGreggor, after a row of losses could bring more money due to PPV. He only need to get back to trash talk bad guy style.

By looking on how he spends free time and his expenses, he would not have enough money for retirement Cheesy He got to UEA by yacht. Google showed, that this kind of yacht cost $20-30k daily. Expenses on family and etc. I think that he had spend $50-100k for a trip to "work" to earn $5kk + PPV Cheesy But this only few days of his life. I'm sure he has a lot of money, but he spend a fortune luxurious life.

My take on the picture is that Justin Gaethje should face Conor McGregor and Charles Oliveira should face Dustin Poirier for the title mean while Michael Chandler should face Tony Ferguson even though he is on a two fight loosing streak.

Oliveira vs Poirier would very interesting to watch. I'm more interested in this match than McGregor vs Gaethje.

Imo, I feel sad no to see old Conor, when he destroys opponents mentally before fight with trashtalk and etc. What we see now - "respect, good fight, congrats". Seems that this is not his style and he had lost his "magic". His left hand definitely had lost "magic"... Conor was so pumped for this fight, but had lost. Would be as much motivated to fight Gaethje? Poirier showed how to win Conor (low kicks, kill front leg and punches). Gaethje lands more heavy low kicks. I would bet that he will use same strategy as Poirier and finish Conor in first round. After that Conor would announce retirement (for the third time), even though (if I remember correct info), he still has 4 fight under the contract.

If Mcgregor didn't win against Poirier, Oliveira could end up the same way. Poirier made it look like Mcgregor is the weakest, he is a big target for everyone because his weakness is already revealed like the leg kick constantly done by Poirier to Mcgregor. It made him inanimated. I lost a little bit of ETH since I bet for him. The next higher he'd face will do the same like Poirier did.

McGregor has a few weakness as we know. His stamina for one is probably the Achilles heel.. The leg kicks now. It just hit me that we wont see Khabib fight anymore. Just as I was about to get excited about the possibility of watching Khabib and and Poirier fight again. Sad

Michael Chandler had a great performance and win against Hooker and this was probably one of the best UFC debuts I ever saw.
Conor lost from Poirier and I can say that I am not surprised at all with that, but Khabib is greatest of all the time and many levels above everyone we say in this event.
Dana White talked with Khabib and I think his retirement just got confirmed.

I saw this match, McGregor lost after being beaten so many times. He didn't seem to have the energy to retaliate, away from his big mouth. But I'm happy with this result, because I don't really like his arrogance. As for Poirier, he has to target even better opponents in the future. If Khabib did come back maybe the fight with him would be even more interesting if it was held. The two of them were the ones who beat McGregor.

Do I get it right - Lightweight title is now vacant. Imo, Poirier should fight Oliveira, and Gaethji should face Chandler. And then the winners should fight for the title.

It will be if Khabib isn't going to fight to keep it which it doesn't look like he is. Maybe he will change his mind though. It's never nice just vacating a belt. Maybe if it elapses Connor will end up with it somewhere down the line and then he can come back to reclaim it or to whoever else has it.

Mcgregor is not in shape seems like he is not committed to the fight, you can see the look on his face when he received a punch that put him down, a person who lost his passion for the game will never be back in shape especially now that he wants also to fight in the square ring instead of in the octagon, maybe he is just now chasing money, its hard to see the person who dominates before is now in that position.

Are you forgetting his last fight where he blitzed Cowboy in less than a minute. Did you say this when he lost to Khabib and Diaz? He didn't look lazy or uninterested. Sometimes you just lose:

There was some truth in what Dana White said.  If McGregor won, there would’ve been a part of Khabib that def would’ve want to come back.  Mcgregor vs Khabib 2 would be the biggest bout in UFC history.  It would’ve been epic.  Oh well...
Dana White will be crying as he wanted Conor McGregor to fight against Khabib and majority of the media underestimated Dustin Poirier and i knew he will win the fight simply because of his experience fighting against killers and winning them.

To be honest I think there's more money or hype if there's a while before it even happened. Let Connor have a few more fights and Khabib is AWOL for a time then try get the fight together and bill it as their last or whatever or at least Khabib's mighty return for the 30-0 and Connor looking for redemption etc.

@SaShiRaJaVu. Dana’s new storyboard might be Conor versus Nate Diaz trilogy first to make his image recover assuming he gets the victory. Next after this might be to run another storyboard for another trilogy on Conor versus Dustin.

So Dana White was holding the division, if the title was vacant he should have announced the Poirier and McGregor as the title fight which could have been bigger as the title was on the line and Poirier deserved to win the undisputed title.

And how come the UFC didn’t sign Chandler 5 years ago?  He fights well, he’s articulate..  The kind of guy who could be a good champ and be a poster boy for the UFC.
Michael Chandler was a poster boy for Bellator and he was not even open to test other markets and so is the reason he was not in the UFC and this is his last run and now he wanted to test the market and he was signed to the UFC and he was the only fighter who is a top fighter who never fought in the UFC and he just showed his explosive style and he is yet to show his wrestling skills.

Another surprise Conor McGregor is knocked out by Dustin Poirier  Cheesy. Now Dana White will be angry that the Khabib rematch will never happen.

Now Khabib can face Michael Chandler as McGregor rematch is out of the picture.

It's the biggest surprise of this event, this is a big turn around for McGregor, the Pacquiao fight might not push through now, he is the heavy favorite here but Poirier wants to make the fight even, we might see a trilogy on this one and we will see Khabib mocking McGregor after this loss, I guess Mcgregor invincibility in the ring is gone, great performance for Poirier this one is much better than the Khabibi Mcgregor fight.

McGregor was out for so long that it seems he lost his touch with the sport. At least in this game.

The Pacquiao fight just got a $XX.XXX.XXX devaluation! Which is good and can lead to more normal PPV prices.

Unexpectedly won 34 EUR betting on Poirier...

I thought Conor had won first round, landed few nice shots in second round, yet still was put to sleep in that round. Almost different Conor, compared to fight against Cowboy. He says Poiriers lowkicks made huge damage on his front leg, could be... But as I know, Poiriers low kicks are not as deadly as Gaethji or Aldo. Confused feelings about that fight.
I jusat knew that there is something wrong with the movement of Mcgregor in the second round he is not aggressively moving and remains stationary and because of this he was caught by the barrage of punches by Dustin Poirier low kicks did the damage and its good preparation for that barrage of punches, they are one each and it's up top Dana now if he thinks it deserves a trilogy, but it would take some time.
