Always a sucker for a design project Grin

I took a different approach

I wanted to work in the "hive" so to speak, but keep it looking something like a wasp and also a bit "techie", incorporating a W as well. The hive cells represent the distributed nature of the collective. Not sure about the font however..

This is still a rough version I slapped together, if you all like it I will produce a more finalized one with all the bells and whistles to look at.

My logo criteria says a good one is easily re-printable in any medium which I think I accomplished, should work well in any color.

Definately the first one. The second one looks like the logo of a NHL team.

Thank you so much for your feedback. I agree with you, logo #4 is much too busy with those coins. I think #3(either in orange or yellow) is the best one till now.

@dzarmush: I like your option 8, but I still think that it looks too similar to Wasp Archery.

I will try to make a variant of #3 that is more minimalist. Let me see what I can do...

Zelek's humble opinion: Iconic. Easy to turn into a monotone image for a Printed Circuit Board. I keep coming back to this image - somehow it has burnt itself into my mind.

Zelek's humble opinion: Would this work next to the "Option 8" iconic wasp logo as short text? The full text "The Wasp Project Collective" could be used when more space is available.

Zelek's humble opinion: The logo is too busy now. Needs to be simpler, and able to be turned into a monotone image for PCBs. Which is why I prefer the #3 version.

I personally prefer a more clean & simple logo's (trying to visualize them printed on cardboard boxes in B/W)

Note on design... at least it applies to landscaping or interior design.

1 3 5 7 etc when you are grouping things.

Note the 4 denotes death in Chinese so often avoided.

Although Bobby Orr was NUMBER 4 and the greatest player eva!
