Scammers a lot there (twitter). They put the link up and running. Be careful. The reason behind the scam is the anonymity and irreversible nature of blockchain transactions. So, we don't know who is behind it. Fraudsters exploit these features to scam people out of their digital assets without fear of being tracked or held accountable. Plus, the hype around cryptocurrencies and airdrops attracts many Indonesian users who may not be aware of the risks involved. Before participating in any online investment or project, especially in the digital currency space, always verify the authenticity of the project, its developers and who is the team behind it. Browse websites, social media and many more, you can explore yourself.

Leaving all "I am Elon Musk I am distributing money to everyone!" obvious scams (at which point they made half a million dollars before people got wise), I could easily say that it is not going to stop because they are getting better and better at hiding it.

You know which scams are the worst? The ones that are like a company, you may not fall for a person trying to trick you, but if they build a company with great SEO and amazing marketing and even tv ads etc etc, if you start seeing them everywhere, you will think that it is just another project, and maybe you won't invest into another new project that's normal, but there will be a lot of people who fall for it, whereas they will be just another scam, they call it "rugpull" instead.

Twitter, telegram and discord now become the source of scamming people. Many newbies are scammed in this way. we should always double check any link before connecting our wallet as hackers use phising website to empty your wallet. Only verifing the official account is not enough because some time hacket got access to official account and sent fake site to collect airdrop. This is easy task for hackers. Instead of Blockchain contract they are now have an eye on these official discord servers and twitter accounts which is easier to hack.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Now many accounts on twitter with blue ticks offer promising projects that is a trap because we don't always trust blue tick accounts basically they always cheat by providing links that lead to phishing sites, so it's no wonder there are many ways for them to cheat many people in other ways, including DMs from Twitter and also messages from Gmail, so many people came offering prizes or winning prizes, which obviously we have to be able to verify properly.
yes it's happening now, accounts with blue ticks get noticed by many people, even though that won't guarantee they're genuine or just scammers. Twitter blue ticks can be bought by anyone and why do they scammers have a lot of followers, it's because they are using twitter with a lot of followers from the start or buying and changing all the information according to the project they are going to promote as a trap. we have to be careful and not fall into their trap.
I also always pay attention to Twitter users who have a blue tick and use more of these because it's easier to get this, you can buy it directly and it's like this that makes scammers act more to continue defrauding projects that are made, so it's quite clear that we can't just believe because whatever happens on Twitter, even though there's a lot of information there, there's also more fraud we have to be able to filter and differentiate between the original and the clone.

Which in essence we have to do research before taking part in the airdrop. Many airdrops require connecting with their dApps and this can be dangerous if the airdrop turns out to be a trap. Many have fallen into a trap and in the end their assets have been taken over.
Airdrops from official companies will always be posted on their twitter and many people will start working on it. and lots of airdrops available right now, and some of them from new hype chains.

If we just choose an airdrop and do it right away without doing research, then it will be easier for our wallet to connect to fraud in the sense that we often have the task of connecting with the dApps that they make, we have to be careful, not all dApps are safe, sometimes they also set up traps from dApps which are made.
Yes, we always have to look for trusted sources and check from Twitter or the original Discord whether they are holding an airdrop or not if they have confirmed about it then make sure the airdrop is legit.

Whom who have some sense, will never join airdrop imo. As airdrops are not trusted  to me anymore. Now everywhere are scammers. Waiting for innocent people With their trap. They are new comers who mostly joining airdrop to earn money from crypto industry but become victim of malware attack and lost thier capital rather then income. They should know that, nothing is free in this world right now.

Nothing wrong with airdrop as long as you can keep yourself in the safe zone by trynig to avoid any suspicious link. You can only participate in the airdrop that being created by legit company. that will give you guarantee if you will not be scammed. A company with very good reputation will not try to destroy their reputation. This will become the basic thing before try to participate in the airdrop. That have been many trusted companies regularly making airdrop.

But why should you need to join airdrops when all of those are scam, worthless nowadays. potential airdrops are available but rarely.
It's because people are still trying and thinking that something good might come with these airdrops. That's why if there's a required app to download, they'll download it but I wouldn't because I rarely join them and I know that it's not worth it.

But Twitter, telegram and others platforms are used to fraud with people, in most of the cases. As a result, you are a example that what can happened. Although Anyone can join if wish but DYOR. But it is advised never connect with their website or sending fund to have eligible for that airdrop or you'll lost everything
There is no doubt that these platforms are places for most scammers and hackers and you'll be hacked if you download an app that contains a malware. So, if you're one of those people that are into airdrops, make sure that you're careful to avoid them.
added with the fact that nowadays the twitter badge becoming kind of useless, that just makes the platform worse in my opinion.
so many scammers have been using their badge just to lure people into thinking they are legitimate, while it's clear that they are not, in which definitely gonna be problem.
i think everyone should instead find information from other sources like from discord and see if the project is legitimate and even the devs are legit, that way it will minimize the chance of getting drained.
moreover, the fact there are so many scams dapps nowadays, that the risk outweigh the chance of getting profit from following airdrop just didn't make it worth it to be honest.

and you should be fine, sometimes these dapps requesting approval from you to transfer token and some people just blindly approve.

There may be several reasons that make people continue to join airdrops, especially for those airdrop hunters who are already like a job. I once joined the telegram special airdrop group. They participate in airdrops every day, sometimes several airdrops a day. And they like to do all the airdrops that are informed, where the airdrops are usually filtered first by the admin. And regarding the results, no one can promise that what they are doing will produce results.

Sometimes, of the hundreds of airdrops that they participate in, only 1 is worthy. But sometimes that 1 airdrop can be worth a lot, like the case of Yesterday's ARB. however, this is indeed very uncertain. And in my opinion, this cannot be used as the main income, only on the side which does not need to set too many targets.

What's more, this requires attention and caution because what is feared is the installation of applications that may contain malware or phishing links that will actually make our assets disappear.

don't be easily hypnotized by advertisements for free money from various social media, what will happen is that only our assets will disappear or our social accounts will be stolen for other crimes. the average beginner who will be easily swayed by big hopes of big money but it's a sadistic trap for beginners. My advice is that various social account projects that verify or have many followers don't easily click on the link

A few days ago, I saw a KOL with a large number of fans on Twitter. He was recommending a project recommended by many KOLs. As long as he followed his guidelines, he could get more airdrop tokens. As a result, when I clicked on the link, connect When my little fox wallet is signed and confirmed, my assets will be reset to zero. I checked the data on the chain, and in a short period of time, he actually defrauded more than 20,000 US dollars in digital currency, which is terrible.

Why do people still continue to believe people over the internet.  Never click links from someone you don't know including someone who is "popular".  Interneting 101 people.  All for air drops?  I'm sorry you lost money but never believe anyone you unfortunately had to learn the hard way.
This is the sad reality, many already aware of this and still ignore it just for the sake of quick profit. Many are victim of these fake links, and for sure many will still fall. If you want to be more safe then better no to trust any links at all and do your necessary action before investing or downloading any files. Twitter is full of hackers and scammers, you have to double check always or else you will become a victim too.
No amount of warning will stop many people from falling for this click bait partly because of looking for free money after being brainwashed into it with a fake Photoshops showing earned money from the so-called fake airdropi and newbies who wanted to try their luck with crypto without having any knowledge of the system especially by clicking phishing links unknowingly, and quite unfortunate that Twitter don't restrict those fake links by pulling them down because they are not subjected to any form of validation, it's a pity that many newbies will be scammed due to their unawareness of the fraudulent activities of those scammers.

Scamming 101: "You can easily scam people that want to scam you."

I am receiving many emails that promise me free money every day. Do I get greedy and click them links? No. If I did, then I would lose everything in my PC.

These scammers using people's greed against them and it is one of the most profitable business models ever existed. Better than owning a casino probably because they don't even pay any taxes.
It is way more profitable than owning a casino business, though it involves a lot of work because scammers are on it 24 hours to get as many victims as possible, they manage to get quite a lot of money every week or every month since we all know that there are a lot of greedy people that will get instantly interested if they see a website offering great returns on investments.

And the best part for scammers is, such people, will always be available for them, even if they fail to get everyone trapped if they manage to get at least 5 to 10 people out of a thousand, they will still be doing great because they take away quite a lot of money from the victims.

Twitter and telegram is the hotspot platforms of scammers. Just avoid clicking link or interacting on this casino especially if you are a newbie or don't really have idea what you are doing. These scammers are doing anything to scam people like joining the current trend, impersonate influencers and even make smart contracts just to scam people. I believe that even crypto veterans can possibly be victimized by this scammers because some of them are really good to it. Just avoid using twitter if you find it as a threat or just don't click links that you think is harmful.
You forgot to mention Facebook. It is the leading platform and it is more user-friendly than the two so expect that scammers will lurk here the most. If the link just randomly pop up from a random person, chances are that it was a scam so we must avoid. Even if you know it already, don't ever mess around with it because it can still potentially harm you. Joining the trend is one of the easy ways for a scammer to scam people because who doesn't like the trend?

But, it can be easy to spot a fake influencer because usually legit ones have a verified tag or a little check sign beside their names. No need to avoid Twitter or other social media sites completely as they are useful to us. We only need to follow the safety protocols.

you can’t be so gullible, even if he has a large number of subscribers, this does not mean that he is not a scammer, so you need to be careful today, and in general I don’t pay attention to suspicious links that are posted on social networks and you are advised to do the same to do not become a victim of any scammers

For me a large number of followers does not mean they can be trusted. I meet a lot of Twitter users who have tens of thousands of followers and they are people who are hunting for referral links. Usually they are airdrop or giveaway hunters.

Maybe only verified Twitter accounts can be trusted. I apologize for the misfortune that has befallen you. Maybe this can be a lesson for other members so they can be careful when participating in airdrops. I honestly don't like Airdrops asking for KYC. Because for me personal data is more important than tens of dollars.
While verified Twitter accounts are generally trusted, it is important to note that they can still be involved in scams, albeit not by directly entering your DMs and sending messages. It has been observed that some YouTubers, who often possess verified accounts, subtly aid in cryptocurrency scams.
Those need to be identified and reported. What these account holders does is similar to providing paid reviews for services. For what they received as reward these people promote through the social media handles. All around the internet we were able to see more and more scam and fraudulent acts. We should know how to differentiate the legitimate one from the scam. Compared to the past days of social media platforms flooded with scams and different schemes, now there is better cleanup.

This is true not only for Twitter, but for almost all social media platforms. Especially on Facebook, there are too many scam ads. Moreover, these ads are given directly to Facebook and are shown as sponsor ads. More so, it says that this amount of rewards or this exchange gives this award to new members via exchange platforms, please log in and check it immediately. As soon as you enter your email and password, your information is stolen. Definitely check the ads you open. It's good to be careful.
Yes, these scam ads are seen a lot on social media platforms. But most of the time, scam ads like those seen on Telegram are sent. We have to stay far away from these scam ads and scam links. If we use these links  If we don't follow them, we will face many problems. All the information can be stolen by someone else for a little mistake, so we must always be careful.
It's been long since I visited my twitter handle and my other social media accounts are becoming idles and inactive lately and this is because I discovered that most of the information shared on those social media lack fact and authenticity and this is no different from fuds and rumours that can mislead their audience.

So the best possible practice is to avoid them in all totality or be selective in the kind of information you digest from social media like Twitter.
