Damn I have gotten my account locked or banned as well because I cleared my browser cache and cookies then i tried to login but i forgot my password so i tried to recover it with the secret f***in questions then i got it locked. This is really painful to wait for several months before i get my account back and i messaged and emailed theymos and cyrus with a signed message but it will be really painful to wait so long until i get my account back.  Cry Cry Cry Cry

If you are trying to get a hacked account back, then you can also PM cyrus.

That's helpful Smiley thanks

Any update on this?

Theymos will be busy as hell & probably take a long time to get back to you. I understand your frustration with the situation though.
Do you think there is an update? Why are you so vested in this? Posting for sig money?

Try pmeing BadBear also. Be sure you have same ip with the new account you register and the account you want recovered.
This does take months though, I've only seen theymos recover accounts faster than that on extreme occasions.
What about when Alaki's account was recovered though? The account was recovered quickly (under 1 week I believe) and I don't think Alaki was very well known had a high trust rating, e.t.c.   Maybe this person will get lucky like Alaki did, but I doubt it. Some people like letyouearn have been waiting for months, without any communication from theymos.

Having the same IP doesn't necessarily help, if you're 100% sure that the account was hacked best thing you could do is provide proof to the admins with a signed message as noted here. This does take months though, I've only seen theymos recover accounts faster than that on extreme occasions.
If the account that was hacked was well-known (high trust rating, staff member - those sorts of scenarios) they're recovered fairly quickly to prevent scamming with them.

On the topic of using the same IP, I don't think that changes anything either when the staff look into recovering your account. They have other methods than just matching IP's up to accounts to verify that 'person x is under control of account y'.

My account was hacked 3 days ago, I e-mailed 2 days ago and still nothing. What do I do? Theymos keeps coming online and I think he's ignoring me Sad

Only theymos can recover my account and I sent him a signed message and everything...

theymos gets a ton of PMs everyday and he has a lot of work other than answering PMs. So you can't say he is ignoring you, just wait...

Best thing is try prevent your account getting hacked in future.

You gotta give Theymos some time. If you have a legitimate question/issue he will reply.

Did you checked if your account is active?
It was pretty actively scamming, yep.

Makes no sense to buy an account just to avoid loosing income from signature.
Let me quote his (former) accounts sig for you: "I don't post spam on the forum to earn off my signature".
Didn't see that one coming, did you?

Well if he wanted to post from a more trusted account then why not.
Maybe also take out a few reputation loans to get his trust back? [/sharkasm]
Do me a favor and just leave, please?

Well if he wanted to post from a more trusted account then why not.
If you just want to participate in a discussion, there is no need to use a "trusted" account for such purpose.

I thought that he might want to buy an account and continue posting for his signature campaign.
Well, if that is the reason for this appeal, then I see no reason for theymos to recover his account.

In the meantime, just buy another account
Recommending the OP to use a bought account meanwhile waiting for theymos to recover his account are patently absurd, in my opinion.

2 days is not a very long time to be waiting. In the meantime, just buy another account or just wait if you don't want to buy another account. He is probably very busy.

I only see him respond too individual cases such as yours once in a blue moon and he probably just lets themselves get a resolve from others that he has delegated such powers to anyways.
