My guess is either an exchange or a very early adopter. Lets just hope that the owner of this wallet doesn't do a mt gox and dump it all on the exchanges. This would create another bear market and we're just recovering from one

To cut the story short, drug or not drugged, this wallet address belongs to an exchange, so take your mind off it. whatever calculations you doing to me its a total waste of time, it just like you are counting money that doesn't belong you, which at the end they ( owners ) won't even say thank you for helping us count our money

You are reading it wrong since if you compute the amount of bitcoins in his address it will not sum up to a billions of dollars. But you are right and you are not dreaming when you saw the 80k plus bitcoins in his wallet address since the blockchain does not lie. You will also be shocked if you will also see a wallet which is a hundred thousand bitcoins on it.

And 750m is still a shit ton. And I found out this belongs to a popular gambling website.

Sure. 750m is a lot of money. But that amount isn't owned by the owner of the wallet. Like you said, it's a gambling site so it's to be expected for that address to receive huge amounts due to deposits by their users.

Who owns it is a miracle.

it is not a miracle. if you run a popular services such as an exchange which thousands of people use and deposit their bitcoin with you, you have to store all these bitcoin deposits somewhere safe. and that somewhere safe is a cold stored address like this one here.

I believe you are looking at the total received as opposed to the current balance. Over the course of this wallets life 18 billion worth of coins (at todays value) has passed through this address but at this point in time it has around $750 million to its name.

Am I reading this wrong?

Yes

Am I on drugs Huh

If you don't know the answer to that question, quite probably the answer is yes.

Anyway, to clarify, the total received is not how many bitcoin the address owns, it is how many it has received over its total lifespan.

How did you calculate?
First, this address has 81500 Bitcoins. With the current price of bitcoin, it's 750m dollar.
Second, the address belongs to an exchange. It's clear and there is no doubt.
