This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

I hope that people will see this tragic story as a reminder to always secure your files and passwords either in offline or cloud wallets. Always organize your files in the computer of smartphones and limit the use of these devices for professional use only so that you won't regret anything. You can also secure your private keys by trusting them to someone you are close to and you know that they won't betray you. Its hard to work alone so it will be good to have a company in this business.

That's not a lot. People have mined thousands of Bitcoins and lost them. Moreover most miners would have sold their Bitcoins when it would have reached a $100 or $1000 for quick money. Only long term rich investors can hold for long because they can afford to lose the investment amount.

Very sad to hear news like this. Although he lost when the bitcoin value was very low at that time. But I'm sure, everyone will be very disappointed if they lose their bitcoin. He collects little by little from the mine. After long collecting, he lost his wallet. Very sad. Hopefully this incident does not happen to us all.

Well it may happen that someone stole his Bitcoins, or someone whom he know he has all of it and betrays him. I just think that Bitcoin is all about money and we cannot say that you can still trust the people whom you know when it comes to this, just be  secure, and I think be careful to your wallets and everyrhing related to it, it may be trsced by the hackers and steal all your money

How I wished I was that guy but I will promise that I won't lost my wallet files especially that it is offline wallet. That was a big lost and I am very sorry to hear this story. This unfortunate reminder may serve as a lesson for everyone to keep your bitcoins safely. It won't also hurt to buy full versions of security apps or programs to your pc and phones in order to increase the security of your files and info in the devices.

I think this is an eye-opener for anyone who is using either online wallet and hardware wallet. We must always keep in mind that we need to backup everything. keep multiple backups of it and also, always do safety precautions when using your wallets because hacking is very rampant everywhere. That is very unfortunate to lose 103 bitcoin tho. Let's hope he still can save his bitcoins.

I'm really sorry for the guy who lost his 103 huge coins. In fact, the Bitcoin subscribers never thought that Bitcoin would get the price. That which is forever lost is never found back. So do not wait for the lost forever and move forward.

Stories like this are becoming more frequent, I'm kind of glad I didn't mine them years ago as I would have sold them for peanuts and regretted it for the rest of my life! If I forgot and re-found them then that would be a different story with a great ending

Bad luck is bad luck. I don't think there's anything we can do about it. But this can serve as a lesson to all inattentive investors - every little thing, every mistake can cost you money.

What mistakes he made so easily he gave up the loss of 103 BTC. Surrender is not a solution to escape from this sadness. But, what can be done, the trash has made him suffer a huge loss when the current BTC price conditions. Hopefully, he can be steadfast in the face of this disaster and hopefully he gets back what he has lost.

I don't think that those Bitcoins can be recovered. Sorry for your loss all you can do is think about the future and forget about the past.

Of course, with this question it is better to address either the creator of the wallet or the developers. But the second option seems unreal to me.

Damn, he probably've already killed himself. But you should pay more attention even to your hardly earned 103$, I suppose)
