I say why not. Considering the growth during this year, I would not be surprised to see it 20000 USD in 2 years, it is just 3 and something times more than the price today.

This is possible, bitcoin can grow up depending on the investors and market demand. If bitcoin will be very popular and in demand in the next few years, it can grow up to that amount. Let's see what will happen after the hard fork.

I expect much of that, because people now tend to invest heavily in altcoin and ico projects.

I think it is possible to remember, bitcoin has increased by 600% since the beginning of the year, and another 300% increase in 2 years is absolutely possible.

well who knows it might be true we will never know but one thing for sure , it maybe 2 or 5 years from now bitcoin price will continue to rise , It will be good if on the span of 2 years it will be 20000 ISD then many of us will become rich already

lol what the, i lost it the moment i saw ripple price. Really? $50 a piece for more than 38 billion supply. I can believe it for bitcoin price but i'm not sure for the rest in the picture. I ran some numbers in a recent blog post about this, if we assume that the top 4 countries/regions in terms of exchange volume (US, Europe, Japan, South Korea). It would take 50% of the population to invest 1% of their annual income into Bitcoin to reach a price of $23,275.
So 50 of the population is probably a high expectation but 1% of income I can only assume is slightly below the average in terms of BTC investment, at least for most of us on here. Institutional money will make a massive difference, but if that money comes in the form of an ETF then things are a little less clear exactly how or to what extent that would affect the underlying BTC price. Especially when we're talking about ~$15k gain in price, the market cap would pretty much need to double.

I want to believe. I've catch crypto twice - first, in 2009 next 2017. In 2009 when bitcoin was just like a joke i nevermind it. In 2017 when it became rel strong I'v bought it and now i want to believe.

Not really rocket science as a prediction. It will be 20K before the end of 2018.
My moto is always never say never and I'm always hopless optimist but 20K before the end of 2018 is exaggerated prediction.
When the price is on the way up everyone thinks that nothing is going to stop it, forgeting how little it takes to disruppt the balance because many factors influence the price movement all the time.
I realy wish to see the price at 20K but still I'm careful with predictions.

Yes I agree. Too ambitious for that amount.However it will soon hit that price I think for around 4-5 years from now. I still even believe that someday the price will be extremely high that 1 bitcoin could be equal to 1 Lamborghini. I will really take note of this. And bitcoin in the future will surely be known worldwide. We are so lucky enough to know this early.
That will always be impossible, because there are almost 17 million bitcoins in circulation but only about 30,000 lamborghinis.

That is a great computation, and a good possibility to get that increase in less than 2 years.
Yes, this prediction is a little on the high side. I would be pleasantly surprised if we reached 20k that soon but I suppose it is theoretically possible based in this year's upward trend. It just seems unlikely that such a fast upward trend would continue for two more years without leveling off some, at least in percentage terms.
And with more and more speculation and predictions being released about bitcoins price in the next years. More and more people would consider investing on it that would result on getting a higher demand and faster increase on prices.
more invest means more buy more buy means more hold and and more hold means price will shoot up in exponential rate.
I already seeing bitcoin in 100000usd..

There is a real momentum shift going on at the moment with bitcoin. People that were sceptical all the way till now are actually seeing they should atleast buy a few bits here and there to not be completely left behind.

Yeah, but such predictions become reality, also the alt coin market will see astronomical gains. So if I am entering the market with the attitude you described, I will likely invest in the very small coins with much upside potential - people will try to repeat the gains of those pioneers. And a lot of these gains will flow back to bitcoin in the end.
