On the face of it it does look ambitious but if we look at this year alone we have seen a substantial increase in crypto currencies really we are only speaking a 100 percent increase and if we look at it like that 20k is not that much of an increase.

I agree, if we are basing $1,000 a month increase then that figure will become Bitcoin's price before 2020.

For me I believe that Bitcoin will reach $20,000 before 2018 ends.
Bitcoin started $1,000 this January and will br closing $13,000 to $15,000 before 2018 so it's the census that could tell the predictions.

Bitcoin already now testing 11200 at bitstamp. I see it live on my screen.
With fixed low supply and incoming money from fiat sharks, Bitcoin is poised to be over $100K maybe end of next year.
Who knows?
Anyway, I just keep 1 Bitcoin untouched and see how it grows.

because i can see bitcoin more higher in fact i predict bitcoin 20,000$ -1btc in 2nd quarter next year, crazy but who knows bitcoin will hit this high in less than 2 quarter year.

Nothing is impossible with bitcoin no one can predict the exact value of bitcoin in next 2years but $20,000 is possible within 2years as you can see bitcoin rise upto $11000 within just a few months so that prediction is not impossible and many big businessman/woman discovering bitcoin investments now and they're switching to bitcoin because bitcoin has many advantages than other investments like stocks and other smart investors are making a move to attract investors in bitcoin and they're working hard to make bitcoin higher than we expected.
That's also my assessment, bitcoin will keep rising no one can really say if how high this investment will go, the only matter right now is how far or long we can wait, we seen a big fluctuation this week and correction is happening but for sure it will bounce up and meet another ath.

I think the author of that predication was underestimating Bitcoin capabilities. What I am seeing, Bitcoin will hit 20,000$ by next year, and by year 2020, it will reach half or more than a million dollar each.
This is based on my own speculation and assessment.
Totally agree with you, I also think that this is a very low forecast. I think in two years, bitcoin will be 100,000, and maybe more, because the growth rate increases.This is based on my own speculation and assessment.
Question is the rate of grows instead of it doubling is kinda like quadrupling its worth of value

It is possible to reach that price because as of now bitcoin is $10000+ maybe next year it can reach that price lets see what will happen to bitcoin

With the way bitcoin price is going it is possible for bitcoin price to increase to $20,000 in 2 years. Ethereum price will go high because the more ICOs using ethereum smart contract the higher ethereum price but getting to that rate is what I am not sure.

It's funny to watch how the latest bull run has changed the predictions and even the perception of the possible max values of many. I'm waiting to see how the entrance of bitcoin to the stock exchange world will change the things. Most likely it will at least double the price in the next year.

I think $20,000 is impossible, or at least in 2 years. Maybe in 5 years yes.
The market is volatile so it is unpredictable but yes it is possible for bitcoins to reach $20k next year if there is really so much interest in bitcoins and i think that you should start investing as fast as possible because the value of bitcoins is increasing very fast today.

I think it is possible, if you based this on the charts and on how bitcoin grew in this past year, 20 grand is not impossible at all. If this guy predicted that it is going to be 20K usd in 5 years, what about John Mcafee who said that it is going to be 500K USD in the next 3 years, since bitcoin is now public.

nothing is impossible in bitcoin. many whales are investor or bitcoin the prediction is achievable in 2 years. i predict maybe in just another it will rise to 20,000 dollars or maybe more than
