My request to every crypto holder is don't follow any Pump and dump groups. Mostly they will encourage us to buy their recommended token that they already bought at very cheaper price and they will tell us to circulate the positive news on that token to increase the pump on this token and at that time they will dump the token what they hold but they instruct us to hold until it reaches certain highs.
This is pure form of making money by the admin of Pump and Dump groups.
This practice is mostly illegal. Due to non presence of regulation these groups are still practicing these methods in the cryptomarkets.
Thats why its better to just hold long term, there is a ton of manipulation in this market by the big whales and if you try to day trade you will lose.

I agree with the fact that we shouldn't let news media decide our future but not most of the crypto currency traders or investors understand that which is why I think we should not be ignore of their capacity either. Therefore, I believe using the technical, fundamental, new and watching the rate of shorts is the best way to know how the market works.

Unfortunately we cannot do anything if there are some peoples manipulating the market.
If we know they are able to manipulate, what we can do is just stay calm and not panicking when the price falling or rising.
Always take action with your mind, not your emotion.
We can say so about every news not just crypto based. The mass media is making sheep's from us, pushing us to do things which are profitable only to small group of people which is on the top. That's why we should to set our own targets to the price of bitcoin and sell only if those terms came true.
Another problem is that the "electronic news agencies" are money-oriented non-professional as possible and they can easily publish fake news. New traders must learn and start trading properly or exit the business. But as I wrote elsewhere, some only came here because they found some ads that the password would make them rich no matter what.
Do people actually pay attention to these? I mean, there are new predictions popping up daily and it looks like the market has matured enough to ignore them. People only really talk about it if the person who made the prediction is popular or something and even then, expectations regarding its outcome are generally low.

This is a reminder to everyone, thank you for sharing information. I think everyone cautioned that not only the ads but also some BTC market information will die, the crypto market is plummeting it will make people new panic and sell all that they have to exit off. 99% of the things you read from news sites is not written to manipulate! they are publishing those articles to get clicks and earn money from those clicks. they don't care even if bitcoin dropped to 0 or went to $1 trillion. in both cases their source of income is from those clicks aka the traffic they get.
with that said when the community is desperate for seeing positive news to justify the rise that we are having they start publishing positive news and quote people who said "bitcoin to the moon". and when the community mood is otherwise they start quoting those who said "bitcoin is gonna die".
it is more like moving with the wind rather than wanting to cause the wind!

I actually agree with you. I learned that medias doesn't really care much about anything as long as they get those views and those money from the outside. They attack all sorts of personalities, companies, and even this cryptocurrency to get in touch with the trend and get those money flowing. Although the rumors of whales paying medias to spread bias news is kind of plausible, news that is trending for clicks is still believable to me.

You advice not to listen to media but you expect the OP to believe your words--a stranger in some forum? Charts are good only for a predictable market like traditional stocks. For a very volatile market like bitcoin, charts are useless. One bad news is enough to reverse your expected chart outcome.

You would have to control a whole bunch of media outlets in order to be able to influence bitcoin's price.
It would be easier with a small market cap coin.

When the market is dropping like now so being patient is the main key to profit, a lot of speculation is convinced that the price of cryptocurrencies is manipulation, and in my opinion this is not wrong because of devs. certainly want to make prices go up.
