After seeing Bitcoin price movements in the first week of December, I changed my prediction regarding the Bitcoin price at the end of this year.
Previously, I believed Bitcoin could reach a price of $ 22,000. Now I doubt if Bitcoin can reach that price, my prediction regarding the Bitcoin
price may only hit $ 19,000 later this year. But we must be grateful for the achievements of Bitcoin this year, because in a pandemic situation
Bitcoin can go up in price above $ 19,000 is already extraordinary.

Price could hold at the high prices, not breaking up and not sustainably selling off.   Of the two possibilities I would guess we do pull back more in price then this but some think there is a large amount of buying that will not change and demand outweighs supply hence we do push higher.
I think a fair estimate is we hold up somewhat, so prior high prices if projected to year end is no higher then 19k area and arguably the 50 day average continues to rise and will provide some idea of support until the the two touch then we may not last here but will get reactive movement.   Today the lows were observable in support from prior pricing, if we do break below that support then move your sentiment in estimation and so on.
Short term we fell below moving averages like a weekly average and going into the weekend price recovered some but I wont predict positively till we pass above again.   3 strands on your banjo for the music to continue,
watch 17.8k  then 18.2k and 18.8k I dont turn positive in trend estimation till we pass and confirm above again.    BTC very often goes sideways anyhow

We should be thankful and consider ourself lucky that the price of bitcoin crossed previous ATH wherein most of us were anxiously waiting for bitcoin to cross $15k and we were disappointed when Bitcoin reached till $13k last year but failed to reach $15k. I think Bitcoin is trending at a good figure and $20k will be a reasonable figure which we may expect bitcoin to reach by the end of the year. Ofcourse we might see some sudden pumps and dumps which will create panic amongst users and it could drive bitcoin's price abkve $20k or below current price.

Everyone who is a long term investor in Bitcoin should be grateful if it continues to hold anywhere in the $15,000-16,000 region and might be in for a major disappointment if they are looking much higher than that.

I think this will be the lowest bitcoin will go if the year was to end in a disappointing way. The only reason the market still has a bullish look is because of the institutional investors buying every dip, if not the selling pressure should have driven the price further down assuming there was no buying support form the big firms.

Bitcoin is looking week daily and it's affecting the altcoins market as always, just hope we get any leg up (in regards to price appreciation) before the Christmas selling pressure takes over. Overall I think the enthusiasm of the market exceeding its previous all time high should be forgotten as that isn't happening this year.

I'm surprised that a lot of the votes pointed to the mark above 20k$ and even if we want to believe that , after a quick look at the markets we can see clearly that the resistance is still there and he didn't even test it once so I'm going with under 18k$ and to be more exactly, I will chose around 17k$. I do hope I'm wrong and Bitcoin will sky rocket out of nowhere tho.

It looks like Bitcoin is continuing to trend downwards, everyone got so overhyped in seeing it jump from $15k up to $20k that they fail to see that even at $15k it has made substantial progress for 2020. Everyone who is a long term investor in Bitcoin should be grateful if it continues to hold anywhere in the $15,000-16,000 region and might be in for a major disappointment if they are looking much higher than that.

All I can think of is Bitcoin is having a difficult time to go beyond the $20k mark.
It's like it doesn't want to repeat history.  Grin

It might end at $19k and that's it.
2021 will be bumpier since those who are still waiting for a little profit since 2017 will have to think harder if they need to sell for ROI or risk waiting above whatever mark they bought it.

The history says BTC might reach a new ATH in January, 2021 so expecting it to show some strong moves during December is like daydreaming atm because it's looking to be getting and probably standing near $16250 before the next leg upside. Supports are being broken down and it looks like there's not been enough accumulation done as of yet.

I really don't know at this point, it looks like the price goes up an down constantly and I don't know what this last 3 weeks will entail, I do not really know because we have seen all time high recently, it was over $19.6k and it broke the record, but looking at what it is right now I can't say the same about right now, it is under $18k once again and that means the price is going down.

Now what we need to realize is that, will bitcoin go up like it did just ten days or whatever ago? Or will it go down more like it did few days ago? Which one is our direction? Which one will it do for a long time? We really don't know and I can't really say which one will happen. That is why I do not trust anyone that says they know which direction bitcoin will go neither.

predicting btc market is really hard as you have no idea what major factors are in play to influence the btc market. as it is a combination of various factors, what we can do is be attentive with the market, and open your eyes with news and updates that may affect its price.
if you are waiting for good timing to sell your btc, you really need to closely monitor the happenings in the market. and decide what price level are you going to sell that out.

I think it would be around $18-19K before this year ends.
But I do hope that it could be above $20K to set a new ATH and maintain it above $18K+.

There's been a lot of predictions (mostly rather wishful it seems to me) about where bitcoin will be before the end of 2020.

However, since the recent top at $19,918 we've had a gentle slide back down to the current value around $18k.

Right now (10 December, 0800 hrs EST) Bitstamp is between $18,100 and 18,200.

What do you think is the max value we will see in the last three weeks of the year, so from now until midnight on 31 Dec.

My suspicion is its going to keep trending down with occasional bumps, but won't get above $19k again this year (so Option 1 or 2 for me).

So the question is not where will it be at the end of the year, but what will be the top between now and the end of the year?

Really interested to see where sentiment is at after the excitement of the recent high and the subsequent drift down.

(Note: poll runs for a week)

I am still hoping that the price will step to the $19000 and we just have to contend that Bitcoin will have it's all time high next year, 2021 will have a lot of room for improvement, we just have to treat 2020 as a year that the market has got back to it's feet and 2021 the year where the market will have a lot of records to break.

Same vote of 4 from the lowest of 18,500 and 20,000 above meaning the pulse of community is divided and this is a good indication that either we will Hit the top or we will fall the ground.
I voted for Bullish 20,000 and up because that's what i believe will happen, after so much good news comes to the market i don't waste this moment like what i wasted in 2017 when i sell out in the middle of the bull.
Now will hold this even if i need to keep this the whole year again in 2021.

Right now the price could've touched $20000 based on the growth happening in the cryptomarket. For some reason the market isn't moving good. The continued growth has got paused, now the market seems to fall gradually. We don't know to what extent this is gonna reach. Considering the present market situation and the price, there is more chance of $18000 - $19000 than a solid $20000.

Omicron is another FUD
I'm still optimistic Bitcoin will hit $20k before this year ends.  In the last few weeks, we've seen that the $ 20k wall is very hard to break, Bitcoin will go down immediately when it hits $ 19.4k (monitoring in recent days), but I am not pessimistic about the possibility that will happen (Bitcoin up to $20k)..

For how many attempt of taking over the ATH it becomes frustrating to many if Bitcoin will really make it this year or we need to wait in 2021 for the finalization of this bullrun that had been paused.

maybe i will take up to $18,000 now as i wan't to be ready and don't be frustrated if we stays in this level,

Before I comment here I checked the price and here it is $17,990.07 this is the lowest this week and and could even go lower, this is unexpected we are hoping for at least $19500 but we are now below $18000 but I am very optimistic that before the year ends we'll still cross the $19000 level, there's still a lot to happen this 20 days, let's see how things will play out.
The lowest this week and might be the start of correction?that in another thread i read that it is 35% less the expected correction price.

if that's gonna happen then i may convert all of my coins to Bitcoin, not care if putting all eggs in one basket.

Christmas is around the corner exchanging some btc to fiat is very imminent for Christians to buy gifts and other stuffs although this might not necessarily have much or full impact on it price, nevertheless I voted for $18,500-$19,000 which I believed the price can settled for, although the price had pulldown to $17800+, its obviously the usual drop associated with the price in the recent times, the month of November has been bullish all through a minor pullback this month is not bad before continuation of the bullish runs which might reach $18K to $19K with close to 20 days to the end of the year.

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
It tried to go up to the $20,000 twice but failed. This just shows that there are many who doesn't want Bitcoin go up to that price.

With what's happening right now, my prediction months ago might happen that Bitcoin's price at the end of the year will end up at the $15,000-$16,000 price Cheesy. The market is at its correction phase as of now and it gives investors another opportunity to enter the market. We need this kind of correction too in order for the market to shake those investors who has weak hands Cheesy.

Short term I'm bearish right now in the market as we are seeing a corrective move but long term the market is still bullish.

I think that this year we can close with a flourish above $ 20k, the main reason is because demand increases, everyone at this time, despite the pandemic, looks for their gifts and things for the Christmas holidays, these emotions lead to the market increases in price.
