No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.
Still bullish and bitcoin do surprise us all the time but I fell like that $20k is gonna be break this year alone but if not then we should really be hopeful on the upcoming start of 2021. If we look at the yearly candles and we are going to repeat the same cycle then it's probably heading to the ATH better than it was on 2017. Still on the stronghold rhythm there's no fear if you want to HODL for long term.

So the question is not where will it be at the end of the year, but what will be the top between now and the end of the year?

Really interested to see where sentiment is at after the excitement of the recent high and the subsequent drift down.

(Note: poll runs for a week)

I feel like the top is in for the year.

Not sure if the market will just drift sideways for a while (coiling up for a breakout in Q1 next year) or if a brutal shakeout is still on the way. In the latter scenario, I would expect all lower highs from here.

Sentiment does feel pretty greedy. It feels like everyone is long and waiting for institutions to take us to the moon. At times like these, I like to be prepared for a mini-crash that shakes out the early and over-leveraged bulls. When the market is finally ready to push a new ATH, I expect to see more skepticism and pessimism, like we saw in Q1 2017.

I voted it would be over $20k. I know that the situation now looks like investors are scared, but in my opinion it is just the calm before the storm. I don't know if it will be tomorrow or next week, but in my opinion the bull run will start before the end of the year.

I've voted for $19,500 - $20,000.
I'm still wishing that we'll get to those prices at the top of where we are right now. The recovery has been better since we've been dropping and that makes me positive for the upcoming weeks which is like crucial for other people thinking what would be the end of this year.

I still believe BTC may go upto 22k as the Christmas Eve is all set to come many Investors will buy it again also we are not going to see much enjoyment and fun of Christmas because of COVID-19 there are severe restrictions in many countries, so logically there are more chances for buy again if these stuff go well then automatically the price will go up.

My vote goes to $18,500-$19,000.

I don't expect any significant movement until the end of the year. In less than 10 days almost all business will go into Christmas/NY vacation and people will prefer to spend some family time instead of speculating with crypto.

gentle slide back down

Its not a gentle decline imo, we stepped off the ladder which got us this high and to me that normally means we arent floating like a feather but due to correct downwards with more velocity then we rose even.   So thats the scenario in potential and its not yet proven as its just taken place, so wait to see if gravity takes over or we quickly regain our grip and continue the rise.    Its possible but more probable imo its correction far below our current expectations and outlook.    Now I want to speculate where is the safest and strongest support for us between now and year end.

I vote for $19,500-$20,000, but I think that could be for the range between $19,000-$20,000 because we already hit up to $19k before, and if bitcoin price increase and get a pump, it could jump to $20k. But it is only a prediction, and I am sure that many people will have their prediction about bitcoin price.

And related to your question, what will be the top between now and the end of the year?

I think that could be between $19,000-$20,000 or it will get the pump to break more than $20k. But I do not yet make any prediction about bitcoin price.

Thanks for the thoughts.

This is definitely not about satisfaction or otherwise (look at where we were just a few months ago!) it's more about understanding the sentiment after just touching a new high and then falling back.

Given what the situation was in the first few months of this year, I don't think anyone can be dissatisfied with the current price - and I personally hoped it would go up to about $15k, which would be a 100% increase over the price in halving time.

Since we have several attempts to reach the new ATH, and all have so far been unsuccessful, it is possible that in the next 20 days there will be at least one more attempt by the bulls to reach $20k. If I had to give an estimate of the price, I would say that we will probably not go over $20k, and that the lower limit will not go below $16k.

Of course, this is just speculation based on what has been happening in recent weeks - the possibility is always there for some extremely good or bad news, and this can result in a price change of up to $5000 in either direction.

There's been a lot of predictions (mostly rather wishful it seems to me) about where bitcoin will be before the end of 2020.

However, since the recent top at $19,918 we've had a gentle slide back down to the current value around $18k.

Right now (10 December, 0800 hrs EST) Bitstamp is between $18,100 and 18,200.

What do you think is the max value we will see in the last three weeks of the year, so from now until midnight on 31 Dec.

My suspicion is its going to keep trending down with occasional bumps, but won't get above $19k again this year (so Option 1 or 2 for me).

So the question is not where will it be at the end of the year, but what will be the top between now and the end of the year?

Really interested to see where sentiment is at after the excitement of the recent high and the subsequent drift down.
