I support the idea of Boycotting the events that are related to Craig. I think it can actually be pretty effective if people, say, stop attending Blockchain events only because Craig is listed as a speaker or another important person there. I recently had a funny moment with a guy that believes that Craig is Satoshi and that Bitcoin SV is the future. He wanted to send me like a couple of dollars worth of Bitcoin SV because it will be a couple of hundreds of dollars in the future, and to show me how fast and smooth the transactions are. I was sitting right next to him, downloaded this Bitcoin SV app and waited. He tried to send me the money in multiple ways (including scanning the QR code from my smartphone!) and it didn't work  Grin I still don't know what happened there, but it was a nice moment.
I was also thinking that maybe something should be done about him recently obtaining a copyright for Bitcoin. A petition to the relevant authority (US Copyright Office?) to reconsider the case, perhaps? After all, if he's not getting money out of it now, he will be doing it soon, 'cause he's basically eligible to receive royalties now, right?

Great idea. Craigsucker should be ignored and left in his own little world where he stands on the podium and strikes narcissistic poses and all the clowns that support him like Calvin sit at his feet and massage his calves. This guy wants to be satoshi so much that I expect he's paying people to wonder around the Internet and spread his holy word. Cheesy

With all the support that I have for this I also have some doubts. If we start ignoring crypto companies and conferences won't we divide the community even more? It's what faketoshi wants. Wouldn't it be better to go there and protest against CSW and his lies?

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
First off, thanks for the support, guys.

@franky1: Dude, go somewhere else and make sense.  Grin Seriously, nice post, bud.

While ignore usually is best method against troll, boycott is definitely needed when a troll is backed by another troll or sheep.

But i wouldn't spend too much time on boycott which usually don't work most of the times.

Once this thread gains some traction, a formal boycott petition will be presented here --> https://petitions.moveon.org/ (professionally penned, perhaps with help from the community prior to publication).

Any particular reason you prefer moveon.org? AFAIK change.org is more popular which means we could reach more people.

Because I failed Google-fu (wait, what, Bruno failed Google-fu  Cry), totally forgetting about charnge.org, hence suggesting moveon.org. Change should suffice nicely, bud.

Yes, I wanted people to boycott him, however, individuals are still attracted to his personality though, that's why CSW is still getting invited to some conferences and there are people (followers) who watch the show because they wanted to see the person who claims to be "Satoshi". But he still have a big hurdle in front of him, so I'm sure the court, with it's due diligence might find CSW guilty about the Dave Klein case.

We really need something like this this is a continuing support for the real Satoshi this is to fight those who claims to be Satoshi but cannot substantially prove that he is the real and failed to go to the right process by accessing the real Satoshi Nakamoto's wallet and his account here in Bitcointalk.

I support this boycott.

I think it should be up to people's own decision if they want to boycott services that are associated with Craig Wright or not, but it is a good idea that you should list the sites and services where he has a vested interest, so that people would know what to avoid if they do not support his actions.

Care should be taken to only list sites and services where he would benefit and not sites and services that occasionally sponsored events that he attended or where he was a speaker.  Roll Eyes    Roll Eyes

This is a good move and I admire Bruno Kucinskas (aka Phinnaeus Gage) for this initiative of starting a movement via a boycott that can hopefully send a good message to people or entities that somehow supported personalities like Craig Wright and similar others. I am wishing that this can snowball into an avalanche. However, while we should be idealistic the fact is that we are living on reality. These people are living on controversies and in fact they are cultivating more controversies so they are always on the limelight...attracting the kind of attention they are planning in the first place...and the media and a critical number of people love to consume controversies too and they are lending their ears to controversial people. In the age of marketing and information, the one who can command attention (or listening time) from people always win. It is no wonder why there are those who are advocating just to ignore these people so that we are not adding more fuel to the fire though there are those (just like Bruno here) who think that silence is not the best option. Well, as for me, I definitely against people like Craig Wright and his minions as I am convinced they are cancer to the cryptocurrency movement but individually there are limitations I can not do against with. I am so willing to sign any petition though as I am also willing to test the waters.

many already avoid CSW for good reason.
but CSW dos not make money from conferences, most the time its just a break even to the cost of travel. he just uses the conference venues as his platform for his mouth to have an excuse to open and sounds to come out.

his income is from private investment. inventing companies which supposedly have assets that he then sells.
and also to note he doesnt make income from his altcoin. he is only using the altcoin as his publicity stunt to pretend thats where his funds are coming from so people dont look into his private businesses of scammery

if you really want to hurt him bad. investigate and report his companies

ever since making the publickey.txt file notarised and treated as collateral for a trust(tulip). he thinks he can get away with creating collateral out of nothing and selling it on.

so if you want to hurt his pocketbook. go for his fake companies.
if you want to go for his ego and lying twitches of his jawbone then yes get him ousted from conferences via sponsors/advertisers not wanting him

I agree with the point of this thread,,, but I disagree that we can resort to name calling. I do not respect the person behind this entire project, not just him of course,,, another person who started the split wars with Bitcoin comes to mind. But at the same time, I think we should also focus on ourselves and doing what is good for Bitcoin. Getting into fights and namecalling is for kids. Kids like Warren Buffett:)

I see what you did there. You dissed name calling then called WB a kid. What next, Pan posing with his goat on ETSY?

The guy who started the split war doesn't claim to be Satoshi.

I fully endorse this initiative, for little my endorsement is worth.

This is definitely a step in the right direction. Without his fraudulent claims of being Satoshi, this man is nothing. Which means that SV is basically nothing but another fork of a fork. There's overwhelming evidence the man is not Satoshi, yet he continues to be awarded money on the pretense that he is... Any company (or conference) greedy enough to attempt to capitalize on this should indeed be boycotted.

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
I honestly doubt simply boycotting certain entities can actually affect CSW and CoinGeek negatively. A good number of users across Reddit r/bitcoin and r/cryptocurrency have suggested multiple times in the past to simply just ignore CSW, Ayre, CoinGeek, Ryan X. Charles, and stop giving them publicity, but I guess people like talking crap to them on Reddit and on other social media platforms so it was obviously not happening.

I genuinely wish you the best of luck though.

Then let's take this to the next level - BOYCOTTING all conferences that has even one advertiser supporting Cock Sucker Wright (#CockSuckerWright).

Here's the first conferences that NEED to be BOYCOTTED:

https://coingeek.com/event/

Here's the list with their corresponding links:

TECHNOVA Connected Customer 2019
ProSeed
Benzinga Trading Summit
A.I. Blockchain Summit
ISTE 2019
The Central Bank Payments Conference
FundForum International
Crypto Valley Conference on Blockchain Technology
Crypto Evolved
Tokenized Assets Singapore

Next, I'll list ALL the advertisers supporting ALL the conferences listed above.

Here's the first 15 advertisers to BOYCOTT:

https://www.proseed.io/ (links forthcoming)

Next, BOYCOTTING ALL keynote speakers' enterprises.

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
EDIT: Thanks for the merits, guys, albeit that wasn't my intent when starting this thread. Again, also thanks for the support for this initiative.

It's time to hit Craig Steven Wright aka FakeSatoshi where it'll hurt him the most - his pocketbook. That goes the same for Calvin Ayre, Dr.(?) Wright's partner in crime and owner of https://coingeek.com/.

Before I proceed, I formally invite Cock Sucker Wright PhDgoogol2 to sue my scammy ass for bringing about the financial harm I'm about to unleash on his Aussie ass. My real name is Bruno Kucinskas and I can be reached at 702-981-5600. Now back to the jest of this proposal.

Once this thread gains some traction, a formal boycott petition will be presented here --> https://petitions.moveon.org/ (professionally penned, perhaps with help from the community prior to publication).

A list of advertisers will be maintained in the second post of this thread, of which ALL input in welcome (please site proof of advertisers associating with FakeSatoshi et al.).

In the crypto space, there should be reason in hell for an advertiser to directly or indirectly sponsor anything associated with Craig Wright, Calvin Ayre, CoinGeek, etc., because of Wright's unsubstantiated claims that he's Satoshi Nakamoto.
