Nope much better to make a separate portfolio because bitcoin still kicking and you can gain profits on it as well. And yes eth is very low but in a short term for sure you can't accumulate on it because the potential in my opinion. So i suggest if you have money that not needed on this moment use it for ETh rather than switching.. because in fact no need to choose one because both are good to make profits.

To buy more ETH, you can use the strategy you set out. buy more BTC, then wait for the market to grow and then change BTC into ETH.We will have a lot of ETH with the same amount. But the important thing is that you need to choose the right time to buy, if you buy at the time the market prepares Bear, you will lose quite a lot.
This is an interesting trading idea. We all know that the dominance of bitcoin is at extremely large values. We also know that altcoins are greatly undervalued. I think that in a few months, or maybe earlier, there will be a great entry point.
Yes ethereum price has come down a lot now so I want to buy and hold now and Utile the price will come back. ETH popular currency we know that and more trading market volume, but I'm not sure where the price will jump in fact this future not bad. Basically don't expect good profitable without a risk so if you want more risk then you can do.

I don't think it is a good trading strategy to sell Bitcoin for any coins including ethereum in this bearish market. Ethereum has no market of its own and most times it follow more than any other coins. You can buy ethereum with any other coins including the fiat currency but flip Bitcoin for ethereum is what I will not do. If you don't think it's a good idea right now, better hold both eth and bitcoin instead of dumping because of panic. Sometimes taking rish and quicker decisions isn't good enough as a solution, but rather a headache in a long run. Because of regrets, we tend to act emotionally.
Its true that rather than on choosing among the two then why not to choose both for having no headache at all.Going all in on one side doesn't give out confidence but rather a stressful thing to mind of but somehow among the two BTC is been mostly supported so theres no doubt about it when it comes to future or longer runs but to divide out the risk then ETH isn't a bad choice either.You do have the full control of your funds and its up to you on how you would manage it.

I think buy is good. Maybe only need time until ETH will get high price again. But for change BTC to ETH i think do investment on both of it will be better. At least safe investment on 2 coin is good because there are a lot of chance to get profit and less risk. But if want to invest more, maybe other top 5 coinmarketcap can be options. And make small amount money in tokens is not a bad idea too.

Now, everybody will start to suggest for you variants, and you might be lost. Simply sit down and take a list of paper to write down there the schemes - all possible variants of the future scenario. However, now, it is difficult to foresee with these (exactly, these - Ethereum and Bitcoin) cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin halving and Ethereum 2.0 are ahead, and we are waiting for 2020.
Don't get me wrong, I love and believe in ETH. It's true that ETH is only 15% of what is was at its all time high and BTC is roughly at 50% of its all time high. However, you can also make the argument that ETH was overvalued because of ICOs in the first place, so the current price is fitting.

Buying in the dip for me is really not advisable, why? Because if for example if the 'extremely low position' you mean is around the support area of Ethereum, then what if we will still continue to the super extremely low position? Well, every trader has a different technique or way on how they trade, but that is just my 2 cents.Just be careful now, Bitcoin dominance is starting again to rise, this could be a disaster for altcoins if it will continue to soar up, that's why I am still all in on Bitcoin now.

The idea to buy ethereum right now is good but that only if you have more money to spend. You can buy both bitcoin and ethereum now as the price is not too high depends on a few months ago. Ethereum itself now is drop too deep, and if you can spare more money, I think you can get more ethereum. But perhaps, you might consider buying bitcoin only because bitcoin is the main cryptocurrency that will increase so high in the future. Although ethereum have a chance to grow, we don't know when it can increase so I think it is better to stick with bitcoin and buy more bitcoin.

ETH is somewhat to say that it becomes the underdog at this time and have to see that the price isn't really entertaining and looks attractive. I don't how it becomes a foolish thing to do if we convert BTC to ETH, it is a big risk into our side. Will never know what ETH can do in the next days, besides having BTC there is a guarantee that we can make gains as it surely bouncing back which we couldn't find it with Ethereum at this time.

If we look from a holders perspective both BTC and ETH are good to hold in a long term perspective. But, for short span I do not think it is a right time to convert BTC holdings to ETH.

you and many others like you have been saying this for the past 2 years each time ETH price drops another 10% to 15% and so far each time you say it the price falls another 10% to 15% right afterwards, the result is a total of about 90% dump which is not even slowing down.
the problem is, ETH has an unlimited supply with no demand ever since the ICO hype died and other platforms starter replacing ethereum platform!
Eth price is cheap and this is the best opportunity to buy more ETH. But for me i will not change BTC to ETH because BTC is my main focus investmen in crypto. I prefer other options for buying ETH.

I think still good. Because usually ETH price follow bitcoin when it's get pumped. If me i still hold some and when price down like this, as trader usually they can take advantage maybe buy some and prepare for back up. Maybe it is commond and already said by a lot of people. But that is still considered as strategy. And at least still better than not do anything except panic and make bad decision. I would rather hold an etheruem now because it has really gone down and waiting for popping up. Buying more should be a good business investment.
And I would rather hold Bitcoin. It's an obvious truth that if Bitcoin goes up ETH could but if Bitcoin goes down ETH will go down for sure and it will suffer a much greater hit.
I'm always for holding Bitcoin than altcoins if you have to choose and don't want to hold both. I have ETH and BTC but wouldn't sell BTC for ETH.

Buying cryptocurrencies at the low price is good idea but ethereum looks not developing in terms of value for very long period while other coin especially Bitcoin doing good so converting your Bitcoin to buy low performing coin is really bad idea if you have y money to invest on the cryptocurrencies then buy ethereum now just keep your Bitcoin as it is.
