Totally aligned with your thoughts but just want to add some of my insights as well which I think would make sense as we know there is never a good or bad time to invest but it does matters as it's applicable only for long term investors not for short term investors. Just imagine a short term investors makes an investment during peak of bull run and the market starts collapsing but do you think the short term investor will wait for couple of years so that price recovery happens or sell it loses? Short term investors needs to ensure they don't invest at peak as they need to figure our when the market is on upward trend and sell it at peak so they cannot invest at anytime they want they have to wait for the perfect opportunity.

Before investing in altcoins, you should understand the market well. If you make a wrong decision and invest without understanding, you will be at a big risk. It can be safe for us to think carefully before investing. I have thought about investing in some altcoins, including Bitcoin. I will. But I don't understand how safe it is for me to invest at this time. I look at the bitcoin market before I invest and then I think about investing. 
I don't like the idea of splitting your investment especially wen dealing with crypto, I will advice to focus on one altcoin that has potential and invest in bitcoin at thesame time it will be better, bitcoin is guaranteed to reach another ATH and with any altcoin you will be stress free with your investment. There's no need getting jampacked with the market and it gets a little bit confusing with the right investment choice.

The Altcoin market is full of scammers and getting accurately a good project is very difficult so the idea of spreading into three with potentials after close researches will make you stand a chance of profiting from any of them or if one decides to fall out. Agree it's half a year so it's the right time to buy altcoins. Altcoins will reach higher positions as the value of bitcoin increases. The supply of available BTC tokens will decrease, while the demand for BTC will increase and the value of altcoins will increase. After the next bitcoin halving the BTC price will increase significantly which will make it worthwhile for bitcoin investors. because it's just a matter of time for the price to go up high. because now is the year of halving.

Personally I see BNB as outside the box and would not want to invest in it due to little or no chance of pumping as it is a native token of Binanace.
There are even more unknown Altcoins that if we look closely will give us some profits during the bull run, it's just a matter of finding them out.

overall, the current market has given chance for many altcoin to do some good price rally, i would expect to find some coin that hasn't gotten that high yet if i were to invest right now but i think in general the coin that are good enough already up quite high already.

You mean many investors will cash out from bitcoin to altcoin after halving? I am not sure who got it wrong but I think the bitcoin price grows dramatically after the halving period.
It is untrue if the investors will moves their funds from Bitcoin to altcoins after Bitcoin halving. Why?We know that Bitcoin will increase gradually after the Bitcoin halving and it needs some months to achieve its peak (new ATH). The investors must wait for the peak to sell their Bitcoin. Although not all the investors will wait for the peak, they must wait for the big increase after the halving. Sure, there will be altcoins season as well but it doesn't mean the investors must ignore the potential of profits from Bitcoin.

I think this is the best time to invest in alt coins because the prices are very down and mostly investors are busy with bitcoin due to ETF approval. Once they are done with getting profit from BTC, altcoins will come into consideration. I have seen charts of different altcoins and the majority are down significantly from their peak price, if they touched even half of that price you can earn huge profit.
I think not very down because we aren't still in another bear yet. We will need to see a bull run first before it happens. What only happened can be a correction for the mini pump that we experienced. It does not mean though that investing is now bad, especially in altcoins. We can even invest at any time. That taught us the method of DCA.It maybe true that many are busy with BTC and not only because there is an ETF but it was the main coin. There are still who thinks that alts will benefit on the pump of BTC, so they don't disregard it. Once people are done selling their BTC, they will surely switch on alts next. So before it dumps, make sure we are first to do it.
