Anyone who buys when the current price is $25,000 they are already short-term profitable, when it comes to opportunities why not take the opportunity when you shouldn't ask because all we know is that $25,000 is already low and now that bitcoin has reached $30,000 more the price will probably continue to strengthen.

My opinion is to hold on to the bitcoin that you have is not much from the current increase, I believe there must be an even greater explosion to make the bitcoin pump stronger and believe that the more you are patient you will produce decent profits later.

IMO, even if you missed buying $25,000 the current price is $30,000 it's still worth buying and it's purpose is only for long term investment.

They can wait for prices to go lower, but only if they know when to wait. Here analysis is needed to support the strategy, so it's not always a good idea to buy anytime and at any price if you have a budget. You could make the wrong decision by buying at the peak of the increase, while you no longer have a budget when the price is actually experiencing a correction. So besides DCA that you can rely on, analysis is also needed.

You can diversify as much as you want. You can pick a few potential altcoin, but I think you should have a higher percentage of bitcoin than altcoin in your portfolio. Bitcoin is good as a long-term investment, but not for many altcoin.

Diversification is very beneficial but for those who knows better about the altcoins and can predict the price for the future through analysis. What do you think that which altcoins will be the best for future success and earning huge income?

I think that bitcoin is good as compared to the other altcoins because we have experienced its past as well as we can see its present so surely its future will also be fruitful. New altcoins are originated but we don't know that it has the potential of giving you a profit or its future will be risky. So diversification is important and profitable but knowledge is also needed about altcoin that which altcoin will be good.

If you already think bitcoin is better than altcoins, why do you need to diversify with altcoins?  this doesn't make sense with your statement and I don't think investing in altcoins is diversification.  because the altcoin market depends on bitcoin, if bitcoin falls, then no altcoin will be able to bring you a profit. investing in altcoins only increases your risk, but if you can take the risk then you have a better chance of getting a higher return.

You are lucky about time, but maybe not so about how much you have made. Perhaps some of the people who came into bitcoin after 2017 are far better able to understand bitcoin and its market than those who have been here since 2015, so there is no set standard by which to judge who is more successful. Everyone can be like that, including newbies.
The basic rule of investing is to invest only what you can afford to lose. It's all up to you if you will all in or not. If you do, it's better to do it in Bitcoin because our chance to be successful in it is high than compared to other coins out there. Having a reserve budget doesn't make you immune to failures but it only help you to come back and try your luck again.

Those who discover Bitcoin early are not always lucky because there are only limited resources before. They don't know what's coming up ahead so there is a big chance that they quit but maybe some come back after sometime after knowing the true potential of these cryptocurrencies.

This is true because if you have money and you wait for the market to lower so when the market downs and you have spend that money then how you will pit that amount in Bitcoin, in this case you will miss the opportunity to be a bitcoin investor.

The better way is that whenever you have some amount of money then surely put that sum into bitcoin because bitcoin can never disappoint you as you know that for some time bitcoin will show down price but surely one day you will be proud of your decision by examining your success.

If a person wants to make investment in some other coins then waiting for lower price is not a bad option but for bitcoin investor every single moment is the best to put money in Bitcoin as its price increases year by year.

Buying is indeed best in bear market but never forget about the idea of buying everytime that you have funds .
Because our chance  is always there as long as we are willing to keep holding at least for certain time.

BTC to the MOON in 2019
June 15, 2023, 04:33:47 PM
With the current bear run of bitcoin at the market cap of 520.50B, down from 527.83B yesterday and down from 570.09B one year ago, at the price of $25k do you think it is a good opportunity to Hodl or buy the Dip in the current market?
Might say that the market cap really matters to some people like you but for me (and many others), the current price and market situation matters a lot. Because Bitcoin will certainly grow and increase in price in the future due to increasing demand and users. The future of Bitcoin doesn't rely on the market cap but on the community who supports this project. In fact, many FUDs spread on the internet, and many government issues about banning Bitcoin, as we can see it even gained more supporters and users.

That is why I encourage those who have not yet buy Bitcoin, we have the chance but for those who have already, hold or just buy more.

OP didn't explain clearly whether he would hold or buy? because the OP mentioned the
bitcoin market cap and the price of Bitcoin $ 25k, if the OP said this is the right time to buy or hold Bitcoin of course we can understand, but here I think there is no problem recommending altcoins.

You lead me through going back to re-read the OP, which I can clearly see and also believe is just referring to Bitcoin here. Please, someone should also correct me if I am wrong. It's not wrong to chip-in on the talk about altcoins just as you have said, but here, the OP is not talking about them. which is better to respect that rather than going off point in his comment. You can read OP again below.

but when talking about "dip" I also want to recommend MATIC because in yesterday's price drop the price of MATIC dropped dramatically compared to bitcoin and other big atcoins, so I think this is the right time to buy MATIC.

On this board, we are not discussing altcoins. By the way, that's not even what the OP is talking about; if you want to discuss altcoins, kindly go to the altcoin board and do so. I'm not sure you read the OP; if you do, I say you don't understand what you read.

Bitcoin has indeed hit $25k and now the market looks bearish,
for now you can hold first if panic sell occurs dump to $ 20k and even support is broken, then you better sell and buy at the bottom again.

When talking about bitcoin, I will definitely say "yes", because bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency and the price of bitcoin is currently relatively low and very suitable for long-term investment. but when talking about "dip" I also want to recommend MATIC because in yesterday's price drop the price of MATIC dropped dramatically compared to bitcoin and other big atcoins, so I think this is the right time to buy MATIC.

Matic price dip more than other altcoins because it's among one the tokens been targetted by SEC. I will stay away from buying it because the price might dip further. I don't think the correction is over, we might see more dips if Bitcoin retest $20,00 before month ending.

During time of heavy bloodbath in the market, it's no wise to buy altcoins because you don't know if they'll dip further or be able to recover from the dip. Altcoins rely on Bitcoin which means if bitcoin was to continue falling then altcoins will follow as well.

Although this isn't the altcoins board to discuss other cryptocurrency that isn't bitcoin but still we can make mention of them in discussion. Therefore I don't see any problem with what the op did by making mention of matic but I won't invest in it not at this moment particularly.

If you already hold Bitcoin purchased at a higher price, hodling can be a viable option if you believe in the asset's long-term potential and are comfortable with the potential for short-term volatility. On the other hand, if you haven't invested in Bitcoin and are considering buying in the $20k to $25k price range, then consider carefully before making any investment decisions. It is very difficult to time the market perfectly, so the best option is still DCA.

Even with the DCA option, one still needs to know when to enter the market and when not to enter the market. I know no time is too early, and no time is also too late to buy and hold. A lot of investors legs are already shaking, especially those who saw the price drop below 28k after the SEC issue with Binance and Coinbase, and they rushed to purchase with the hope that after a few days the price might eventually go back to normal and they could take home some profit. A lot of them are actually regretting their actions right now. Because of the current price of Bitcoin, they could have accumulated more instead of the amount they bought in the early days of the week.
Unless it's for a long time, it's always advisable for one to always keep in mind and be cautious of when he or she will enter the market in order not to fall into the trap of another dip, which might turn out to be a regret for them.

When it comes to knowing when to buy or when to hodl, it is my opinion that there is not any certain answer to this question. I have been very wrong so much for my price predictions so now I am just going to hold on and see where this market goes.

My experience with buying and holding is that for the most part of this it is luck. We make these decisions mostly on speculation of what the price will do. There is too many times I did buy the dip and then had big regrets when it dipped down more.
Why don't you combine your strategy with DCA? I think it's a good combination strategy if you buy on the dip.
DCA allows you to have a budget if the price drops after a dip, so you can buy again. DCA has also been suggested instead of spend all your budget into a lump sum purchase, so I guess it's good for any investor to adopt.

Buy and hold during this year to 2025 is a good plan. I believe halving will give me worth it returns, so I need to prepare this investment portfolio as well and as safely as possible.

If we have the principle of profit then the best thing is to buy when it is dip and hold, many investors are successful and rich because they can be patient, but vice versa for a loser he will immediately sell when he gets a small profit, even when the price drops significantly then they immediately sell for fear that the market will not be able to rise again.
Someone who invests in crypto needs to be patient and intelligent. The cryptocurrency market, in my opinion, is now going to be long-ride-bearish. As a result, not everyone has the patience to wait for significant rewards and control their emotions when the coins they purchased experience sharp price declines. Investors should continue investing with their spare cash and employ the DCA approach; they shouldn't keep investing because they perceive the market to be in a bearish state and invest more than they bargained for

Are we in a bear market?

I don't think so considering the price bitcoin entered the year 2022 with is obvious that the current bitcoin price is in a recovery stage that the price must pass through and at that, we must be careful not to pronounce any market direction yet because when bitcoin rosed to $31k price we all speculated it backward correction which is what we are seeing now.

We may have the possibility of seeing Bitcoin more discounted price before the next Bitcoin halving, but then I think we must keep holding our current stars because we don't know how deep the current recovery will go, and at that, we need to have constantly balanced portfolio in case the market swing to the opposite with high proportion, bitcoin volatilities caught across many faces.

Both of which are things we have to do, hold and continue to buy when the price is dipping like it is now, it is undeniable that the price of bitcoin will continue to rise because the number of users and transaction volume continues to increase, moreover that soon there will be a halving day which makes the price will rise.

Just be patient if you want to hold altcoins and get more profit you have to be patient,
soon we will enter the bullish season, because we have been in a bear market for 2 years,
surely cycle cycle transition always occur in the crypto market and don't look away from the altcoins that we hold,
Just be sure that we are holding altcoins that are definitely profitable, not those cheap coins.
However, I don't just suggest keeping only altcoins but also Bitcoin. And that is right, we need to extend our patience it was necessary and one way to earn more is by selling our coins at the right time (bull run). And this is only possible if we are able to wait for it but I don't think it was easy and simple if we don't have uncertainties in mind. This is the reason why we should know how to combat our fair and must increase the level of trust towards the market.
