Both of which are things we have to do, hold and continue to buy when the price is dipping like it is now, it is undeniable that the price of bitcoin will continue to rise because the number of users and transaction volume continues to increase, moreover that soon there will be a halving day which makes the price will rise.

The problem is that when you are a rich person you can afford to wait, when you are a poor person it is harder to wait. The trouble is that if you have millions of dollars, blocking a million in bitcoin won't hurt you, but when I put all my savings into bitcoin, I fear what's going to happen.
The basic principle is, don't invest all your money in anything if you don't have a reserve budget. This budget is intended to avoid failure in your investment plan, especially when you experience sudden financial constraints. So even though we have a high interest in investing, having a reserve budget must also be considered.

Whales also have this kind of planning even though they have invested a large amount of money in bitcoins. They have sufficient reserves for other needs, so they are still safe with their investment plan. We can adopt that advice for an investment plan and it will be very useful.

Thankfully I do not sell and run, because I learned to be better than that but it took me time to be like this, I am lucky that I have invested into bitcoin early, and learned more about it, newbies don't have that chance.
You are lucky about time, but maybe not so about how much you have made. Perhaps some of the people who came into bitcoin after 2017 are far better able to understand bitcoin and its market than those who have been here since 2015, so there is no set standard by which to judge who is more successful. Everyone can be like that, including newbies.

If we have the principle of profit then the best thing is to buy when it is dip and hold, many investors are successful and rich because they can be patient, but vice versa for a loser he will immediately sell when he gets a small profit, even when the price drops significantly then they immediately sell for fear that the market will not be able to rise again.
Most of them buy during the Dip and some are still Hold in the current conditions, but what we do now we prefer to buy during the Dip situation, and to be honest we use the DCA technique in this case, Big investors I think they prefer to pile on today and starting from the price that was corrected yesterday in the market, and this also depends on the principles of an investor.
The DCA technique is indeed the simplest that we need to do is to buy every money we have, by wanting to buy directly for those who have prepared large funds for a buy dip, but the DCA technique is the easiest, with only $20/week it is more than enough as long as can be for the long term then it is the best way of investment.

I think many investors are taking advantage of the market situation being attacked by FUD where the best moment is for them to buy with those they want and then hold for the long term, some of them increase their portfolio when it is corrected.

Hold does not always end in profit because the price of crypto currency cannot be certain,
even though you have done TA but the crypto market will change direction if that happens,
look at this time even though 2024 will be bullish but prices will still be bearish including altcoins.

being patient is the most important thing in my opinion, we will not know when the price is the lowest point, sometimes we have tried to buy the price is experiencing a decline but when we have bought the price is decreasing so therefore if you want to take profits you have to be patient.
however, we also have to know the type of coin and the possibilities for the future when we hold it, if it's a coin with a lot of interest or high volume then holding is the best thing.

As in June, the market price is undergoing a correction, at a time like this I think buying the top coins and holding them for a long time will make it possible to get big profits.

Seeing the current market conditions, in my opinion buying more is a good option, the best strategy is to buy when it's cheap and sell when the price is high, now the price is dip and I'm sure the end of the year the price can reach at least 2x from the current price or can touch at least $ 50k .

Have you used this strategy yourself so far? because there are also some people who only like to talk about strategies for other people while they have never carried out any strategy in terms of buying. I won't respond to the price you said, even though it's still uncertain, but it is possible that it could happen if economic conditions and the crypto space get better without being hampered by any problems. Indeed, price reductions are a very good thing to take advantage of, but everyone also has to have greater patience after buying because those who have bought directly, of course, always expect that increases can occur more quickly in the market.

We have been seeing the uncertainty that I talked about in the first page of this topic a week ago. It has taken a toll on the price and has pushed it down a little and even though $25k is still holding the uncertainty translates into less purchases (less buy orders) that leaves the bears open to push the price down like this.

DCA and HODL are the best approaches still...

With the current bear run of bitcoin at the market cap of 520.50B, down from 527.83B yesterday and down from 570.09B one year ago, at the price of $25k do you think it is a good opportunity to Hodl or buy the Dip in the current market?
It's hard to predict the floor price before the start of the bull run but since we are one year away from the next halving my strategy is to accumulate not in one buy but through intervals whenever there is a dip, I buy a small amount when there is a dip and prepare for the next dip, I have my spreadsheet to check if I've gained or lost when there is a dip or a pump.

This year is different because we are a year away from the halving so our mindset is all about accumulation but of course, you still have to implement the concept of buying low and selling high because pump and dip will still happen along the way while we are heading to the next halving.
The method that you are following, where you buy a small amount after every interval of the market dipping, is called DCA, and I believe that is the best strategy to follow in times like these where there is absolutely no certainty if where the price will move next and buying at once might be costly because the market can dip any time and if you have already bought and market dips, you will regret your decision for sure.

That is why the best thing to do for this market is to keep holding the already bought assets and keep accumulating if you have funds at different dipping intervals until you have exhausted your remaining capital and then just wait for the market to recover.

exactly, but let us not just use the analysis of others to make our investment decisions; it might mislead us sometimes, and overconfidence actually leads to disappointment most times. We should always do our own research too and proceed with caution. With the current price, it's a pretty good time to enter the market. The price might even go below this again; we never know. So just buying a little amount and adding to my current holdings will not be a bad idea at all. If the price actually skyrockets as predicted, we will all rejoice, but if it still goes below, we will just have to continue waiting for the right time to sell.

From the point of view of Emotional Intelligence and Decision Making Skills, good investors have the ability to manage their emotions effectively, avoiding impulsive decisions driven by fear or greed. They understand the importance of making rational decisions based on thorough analysis and long-term investment goals, rather than giving in to short-term market sentiments.

Current price position is around $25800 and I think is the ideal time to buy, according to many analysts the price will skyrocket again at the end of the year because people will prepare for the halving day which makes a surge in demand and of course makes the price easy to rise.

On the other hand, Timing plays an important role in a successful investment, including Bitcoin. A good investor has a solid understanding of market cycles and the ability to analyze market trends and indicators. They consider factors such as technical analysis, fundamental analysis and market sentiment to make decisions. Timing the market properly can lead to big profits, as entering or exiting a position at the right time can maximize profits. Therefore, being able to assess market conditions and identify potential entry and exit points is an important skill for a good Bitcoin investor.

But don't forget this either. if we notice For now even with extensive knowledge and experience, unexpected events, market handling, regulatory changes, or technological advances can have a significant impact on the performance of Bitcoin. An investor who understands very well that there are factors beyond their control and and it looks like The current market sentiment suggests a strong probability of 93.1% that the Federal Reserve will refrain from raising interest rates during tomorrow's meeting.

The price now is $25823 so buy the dip and hodle for a long period of time. The way I look at it, the $25+k price might stay small before it will move to another figure. People are saying that the bear market will end at the fourth quarter of the year but that is also under the speculation. Many people are panicking because they are short term holders if anyone is holding it for long term then that person will worry much.

I have been a long term holder and I can confirm this. All those ups and downs are just a story down my memory lane and nothing more. It doesn't matter what it is today until I sell it, and I am not planning on selling anytime soon, which means that we are not going to see it do so great, it might do some good at certain levels but that doesn't mean that it will matter for me.

So all in all what matters the most is the fact that we will be seeing it move and I do enjoy seeing that, I still do participate in the chatting of it and that's why it matters to me. I know that not a lot of people will make a big difference in the end, but as long as it is there and I can see the movements that will be a reason to just keep chatting about it.
Long term holders are not having trouble during this period, it is not that it is not a good idea but it is obvious that you are going to get a great time when it is going to go back up, it has been nearly 2 years since the last ATH and that's why many people are already out, if you are still holding after all that time then these movements means nothing to you and any long term holder.

However, people who are traders may end up with some acting movements, like they may want to act on this drop, and buy/sell based on the situation. I know it is not that easy but it is seriously the number one thing you could possibly do, it definitely helps you out a lot. I know that it doesn't mean that one is right and the other is wrong, it is just not that simple.

Yesterday was a good time to buy the dip. If you load the daily chart you can see that the $25K area is important because it was resistance but lately it was strong support. It dipped slightly during the binance dump and now recovered was quickly, this is what you want to see.

Maybe wait for a pullback and see if you can get a better price but keep in mind that I don’t think we will hit a new ATH this year. With all this sec suing exchanges over blurry regulations the future doesn’t have a new ATH priced in unless we get regulators under control.
I do advice people that we don't have a specific time or perfect time to buy bitcoin, because buying bitcoin when the price is low you make a profit whenever you the market of cryptocurrency is high about the amount you purchase bitcoin, so therefore those people who said that it's not good to buy bitcoin when the price is high, I want to let us know that bitcoin price doesn't have infinity increment because when you think that is high price of bitcoin, after some days interval or some period of time bitcoin may accelerate above our expectations, so therefore that's while I always emphasis that when purchasing bitcoin for investment it doesn't have a specification for investment provided that the technology is in existence.

Bear market season presents an opportunity to buy altcoins at a discount so no mistaking this kind of opinion from @Chainsmokers but I think this approach could appeal to those who believe in the long term potential of altcoins and are willing to take advantage of discounted pricing.

The OP is not directly all about altcoins, nor does the content refer to all crypto in general, and as such, I find your idea a little off-topic.
This is a matter of deciding if I should hold my Bitcoin, sell it, or even buy more and add to my current holdings, not deciding if I should buy some sort of shite altcoin that possesses a greater risk and can't in any way be compared to Bitcoin.

What the Bitcoin market is currently facing is something that shakes most investors holding decisions; they don't know if they are to hold or they are to sell, or if they are even to invest more into their current holding. Because of the recent happenings aside from a normal Bitcoin price movement, the SEC issue with big crypto exchanges is really increasing the rate of panic selling as a result of not knowing what will be the next move, especially for those who are entirely dependent on centralized exchange services, so they are more affected than others. So such people are really in a confused state and don't know what step to take next.

Don't waste the Bear season because in the bear season the discounts for altcoins are very large,
even investors or whales always accumulate during the bear season and sell it during the bullish season,
so we as retailers don't be the other way, buy when it's bullish and sell when it's bearish haha  Grin.
Buyers and sellers in the short term are not retailers, but rather traders who are looking for profits in the short term and in bad conditions it's good to look at Bitcoin more than altcoins although it won't be wrong for everyone who wants to see altcoins and buy them as long as the altcoins are is an old altcoin that is quite well known in the market. But I would rather suggest that everyone wants to see Bitcoin and buy it when bear conditions occur, because Bitcoin is still able to provide good profits to everyone.

Bear market season presents an opportunity to buy altcoins at a discount so no mistaking this kind of opinion from @Chainsmokers but I think this approach could appeal to those who believe in the long term potential of altcoins and are willing to take advantage of discounted pricing. TA analysis is necessary because not all altcoins have strong fundamentals or long term viability. For @Davian144 I might agree Bitcoin has become the leading cryptocurrency and often serves as a store of value during volatile market conditions.
