I expect bitcoin to keep moving up and down but bitcoin success is going to happen anytime soon soon. There are many developments schedule for Bitcoin network and Bitcoin halving in 2020 will increase interest in bitcoin as people will like to have a share of the most valuable crypto there is!
I think it is not such vise idea. It has potential but i suggest you with the loss more than 100% it will be much greater to go for Ethereum. I heard new of CCN that it will be such treat when in 2020 Bitcoin leads to eth platform that is upgrading day by day. Bull will come by end of year. So go for Ethereum.

I think we should not afraid holding bitcoin. Bitcoin having biggest liquidity in market and biggest daily transaction volume. But we should not put all our investment in bitcoin because many good and potential coin in the future. Diversify our investment is best option to secure our investment

some experts say that it is smart to hold 40-60% of portfolio in Bitcoin, other part in altcoins and some part in USD. this is balance portfolio.

I agree. Bitcoin movement today have been pretty active and the market has been spiking in favor of bitcoins. Try to reevaluate your alt coin situation and try to divert some on bitcoins. If that doesn't work, then cut some losses off and stick to holding alt coins.

How could you forget about diversification? Even if you are 80% sure of your idea, you still can't do that. You understand that the market is constantly changing and in the end you can lose a large share of profits because of their rash movements.

I think on the current bitcoin dominance it's better to stay in ALTS and when BTC dominance will go back when we saw all-time highs at about 32% btc dominance, it will be the time to jump back from alts to btc.
