The best tip that will always help a newbie is to invest only what can be afford to lose. A newbie should not depend on cryptocurrency investment as a means to get profits from it at all times. Newbies need to understand that cryptocurrency is a good investment when it is long-term.
Allocating enough funds for trading without exceeding the limit is a wise idea. Setting a target goal and not exceeding beyond the limit is important so we'll be able to manage our finances correctly. There will be times that we may feel overwhelmed but we must know how to control things. We shouldn't disregard the risks of trading especially if we're just a beginner. Gaining knowledge is an advantage so could handle even the risks of trading and we'll also be able to choose potential coins.

long-term investments should be made when the market is bearish,
because the price of cryptocurrencies will be very cheap and will have the potential to rise 10x even 100x when the bull market arrives,
And that's when people sees the market as dying, they don't like when the market is bearish because they are looking at the current trend of the market and prices but, doesn't analyze the significance on why it's down.

They don't see the light of opportunity when the market is too low and they don't want to buy at that moment because it seems that it's too risky to them.

But they don't realize that it's even riskier when they do buy when the market is up and high because they'll never know when the peak is.

Traders and investors who combined both emotions and this business will probably feel fear when the market is falling they will not see the advantage but more on the risky part of this investment, but not all have that kind of mentalities there are also newbies who study more before taking any investment that understand how to play with the market.

Always the good advice is to do your own DYOR and invest with your knowledge before doing anything.

It's your money and your obligation to make sure that you are directing the direction of your investment.

Bad currency should never be accepted or selected for long term investment. For long-term investment you must select the best coins that are available by buying them. There are many new investors who buy some sheet coins and make long term investment and from there later they lose their money and they consider investment as a very bad medium. But what they don't know is that good currency must be accepted for long-term recruitment. And the best currency I would say is Bitcoin. You should invest Bitcoin for long term and attract newbies.

it's just that we have to be forced to analyze and choose altcoins that do have fundamentals,
yes you can look for them on coinmarketcap at altcoin top 100 or altcoin top 300, because that's where good projects are located.
long-term investing and choosing altcoins as a choice of investment assets is very high risk, especially in the top 100 altcoins. although all investments have risks but if in the top 100 altcoins it is very dangerous to lose even more money.
unless you choose ethereum to be used as a long-term investment asset it has a risk that is not too high compared to other altcoins. because ethereum already has a good track record from the past until now and will always surprise when the bulls arrive.
but for me it is more profitable to invest long term in bitcoin. because there is no need to doubt that BTC always gives ATH a few years later after the bearish go and the bull come

I'm not so sure Altcoin top 100 or Altcoin top 300 can increase to 10x even 100x when the bull market arrives. Investing not only requires a mature strategy, choosing the right investment media will greatly affect the value of your investment.
Top altcoins like BNB, ETH and some other coins are not guaranteed to increase to 100x when a bull market arrives, but high-end coins can give you peace of mind when the market reverses. Not much advice from me for long-term investment, only Bitcoin can give satisfaction (especially to me) when seeing prices have increased. There is no need to doubt the quality of bitcoin because it has increased from year to year.

To run a trading business, it is necessary to raise sufficient funds. Moreover, even if there is only money, everything has to be lost due to lack of experience or knowledge.  Where to invest and what to avoid is very important. Especially a new investor should invest with long term investment plane. It is necessary to acquire sufficient knowledge to know these things.

BTC, ETH and ADA are great choice to picks. ADA would be difficult to maintain on long-term but both BTC and ETH are great choices regardless of the event situation right now. Just collect up  your salary to these picks like what you are currently doing right now and keep stacking up those coins, since these two will still be strong in the future, so won't be hurt to hodl it.
I agree about choosing BTC and ETH. But ADA seems not a really good choice for long-term holding. In my own view, ADA price doesn't increase very significantly, the price move of this coin looks rather slow. I think it is better to exclude ADA and choose BNB coin, BNB seems more convincing to buy and hold long term. BNB is the coin from the biggest exchange in the world (Binance) that has many functions, and it also has a burning program. Burning program will decrease the number of BNB supply and increase the value significantly.

I met an 8 grade student last night and he said I am investing my small savings in ETH and BTC
for a moment I was shocked and looked at him. If he is smart for invest at this age - what is he going to do when he will grow up. Kids are getting very smart these days
At that age he already knew how to invest and it was really amazing,
it is very rare to see, let's say children have started investing in crypto which incidentally has a big risk,
regardless of what we need to appreciate and that's a good thing

While everyone want to invest in bitcoin - people want to be rich very quick

Investing in Bitcoin does not mean you will get rich. Because you have to understand that Bitcoin is a training coin. This coin also trades. And for that it is not understood when this coin will be up or down. If you invest in this Bitcoin during market down or bear market then you can profit. But if you buy Bitcoin at the highest price then you can suffer loss from here too. But it can be said that you can profit by holding Bitcoin for a long time. And definitely invest your extra money here because you have to remember that you are holding here for the long term. If you hold for long time then you will not be able to withdraw money from here. You have to wait for the market to rise. So not only that investing in Bitcoin will make you profitable, but first you need to gain good knowledge about the market.
Well I can differ from your opinion, because for me if a person can get rich if they buy BItcoin and leave it in the long term, it is not a guarantee that it will rise in a few months, it can even take a couple of years, but if it is bought in $ (20-21)k and then it goes up to more than $100k it is very possible that the person becomes a millionaire, this is what I think, because in every investment book they recommend you buy the safest asset and leave it at least 8 or 10 years without touching that investment, then the benefits are seen, but in this case Bitcoin will not last long to grow in price, for me the most it can take will be a period of 4 years or less.

I'm almost at the goal I've set for myself in terms of how much I'd like to have before investing in another coin, since I've started investing again a short while ago. Next up I'd like to stack some ADA and BTC of course. But I can't help but wonder is accumulating ETH and ADA the right move right now? Or should I be more invested in BTC in terms of potential long-term returns?

I think it will be better to place BNB , Lite coin , Polygon matic besides bitcoin for long-term investment excepting Cardano(ADA). Because if see the performance of BNB and Cardano from 2k17 then you will see how bnb performance is better from cardano . And same as like others Litecoin  and the polygon is a newcomer but it has also managed to a potential power on market . So I think picking them would be much better than picking Cardano.

Unfortunately, many "investors" in cryptocurrencies and not only are not financially literate, and most of my friends do not even know how to trade cryptocurrencies, my opinion - financial literacy should teach people from a young age, and this will be correct...

If you touch the subject of analysis of some cryptocurrency, I want to say that this analysis takes a very long time, starting from the analysis of fund behavior (investors) and ending with social networks and verification of real users, not bots in their project + full geography of the project founders, tokenomics project, the behavior of moderators in social networks, the team's behavior, review Callaborations, personally I can spend a week to study one project ...
You need to allocate that much time if you really wanted to learn and to have a better edge in succeeding inside this industry, it's not applicable relying with someone's advice and opinions in regard to your investment, there are many available venues where you can find relevant information to broader your ideas in how you will take this business accordingly.

Investors should be both ready with mental and financial state. It's a combination of your good money managements and good awareness with how the market flows and how will you react in each market situation.

This is an unpopular opinion but tip for any newbie to long-term investing, is never pay attention to YouTubers. Those folks could care less about your investment; they just worry about clicks, likes, and subscriptions. My counsel is after you have DYOR,  trust your judgment and do what is right for you while establishing standards, guidelines, and stick to a game plan but be flexible.

That's the thing I'm struggling with, I actually want to put in more money. But I just can't afford to, I want to maximize on the buying opportunities but I know that's the FOMO creeping in, and I'll just have to stay patient.
Since you are thinking of a long-term investment, I will suggest you diversify your portfolio but Bitcoin should be your major concentration because if you buy now that the price is down, you will be able to make a profit when the price is up again but remember no one can predict when the bear will end so your investment should not be done with all you have got so you don't end up not making gain and lossng your capital. Always invest with the amount you can afford to lose, good luck.

I used to think that diversification of the stock portfolio is just beautiful words, but only 2 years have passed and my opinion has changed greatly, I realized that you should always invest only what you are prepared to lose and no more, sometimes the risk is justified, but only if there is a financial cushion, and there is something to risk. My advice to newcomers - is not a hasty study of the basics of the cryptocurrency market and ecosystem projects (need to delve into the study of a particular coin), but my opinion, that BTC is a favorite ..

People still keeping a one pot all their money which is not ideal to do it is just easier to burn out their portfolio and assets, it is good to make an investment when you are make sure for the project you are supporting with and also the time frame to set when committing an investment at the same time is the target multiplier sometimes people keep being greedy as long as they have seen the profit they keep holding and not making a TP instead too much-cut losses. Currently we are in the bear market and for sure this is the good opportunity to buy and accumulate a lot of coins.
