Correct me if i am wrong then instead of claiming it as thrash.
There is nothing to correct. It's pure trash.

1. It adds nothing to the discussion.
2. It adds nothing to anyone's life.
3. It's just an effortless oner liner made while you were shitpost bursting for the sake of filling a quota or increasing your post count. You literally go from post to post writing the first thing that comes to your mind.

It's simply just a waste of bandwidth and space on the server's database.

I'm sorry if you are so delusional that you can't see how bad your post is and how wrong is your mentality on this forum.

Exactly this is why i claim most of people of higher ranked members here are purely based on luck. You can check where you stand.  Wink

Newbies and juniors suffer because they keep starting duplicate threads like this one.
How can i get merit points if with the sharing system 5>2.5>1.25>0.625> we are heading to zero?  Huh Huh
Have you not read anything about how the merit system works?  It's not exactly new at this point.
*Never mind, you're newer than I thought.*

The reason we don't run out of merits is because the merit source members keep getting their sMerits replenished.  So there's not a fixed amount at any given time.  It keeps increasing.

Timing was important, yes.  Deal with it.  But you're wrong about this being luck.  Legendaries put in a lot of time here posting and many have still earned lots of merits on top of what they were airdropped.  Again, you're going to have to deal with it.  Nobody cares about claims of "this isn't fair, wahhhh".

The word airdrop is too much expensive word in this scenario as it's purely a luck so let's call, merits are "donated" to higher ranked members as they didn't had one.

The reason we don't run out of merits is because the merit source members keep getting their sMerits replenished.  So there's not a fixed amount at any given time.  It keeps increasing.  And I would add that Theymos just added 36 more merit sources AND advised them to be somewhat liberal when handing out merits to Newbies.  I've been trying to be liberal so far, but right now there's a hell of a lot of spam threads and merit-grabbing attempts.

I'm going to hold off until this all settles.  Some noobs, no doubt, are trying to make their best posts ever in order to get out of newbie hell, and then they'll likely go right back to shitposting.

The word airdrop is too much expensive word in this scenario as it's purely a luck so let's call, merits are "donated" to higher ranked members as they didn't had one.
You're free to call it whatever you want, but you're obviously not grasping the "life isn't fair" concept.  I'd also point out that you're just now complaining about something that happened back in January and that it's useless to complain about it.

Nope ,they suffer because they don't have Legendary membership here and they don't get merit for whatever they post

You don't get merit because you post trash like this:

No as bitcoin is completely decentralized and permission less ,tamper proof cryptocurrency which uses technology of blockchain for the transaction.

Correct me if i am wrong then instead of claiming it as thrash.
i understand there are people just spaming but there are others as well, not all goes into one category

Yeah i agree life isn't fair because i have to deal with the higher ranked members here who got into higher rank purely based on luck.Yes they suck up the fact too.  Wink

Early adoption =/= luck.

Regardless, I was only a lowly member rank when merit was introduced, and now I have 500+ of them. What's your excuse for me?

Maybe if you spent half as much time reading and improving as you do blaming others, merit wouldn't be so difficult for you to earn.

Last thing let's start with a polling mechanism here before you guys take any random decisions like this and ask participants to adhere on it,if bitcoin is decentralized why not Bitcointalk ?
Again, you're another noob who was nowhere to be found when this was actually being discussed, which it has been for months now.

If anyone had started a poll, guaranteed you would have missed it, just like you missed the dozens of other threads asking the same question you just asked.  Most noobs are pure spammers and don't deserve to be able to wear advertising in their signature.  That's obvious to most senior members AND Theymos himself.

Also, life isn't fair.  Suck it up and deal with it, because that fact likely isn't going to change in your lifetime.  However, this change is completely fair given how badly the spammers have diluted all the good posts with their nonsense.

Noob is just a relative experience .Before saying someone as noob remember Satoshi would think you as noob too.So let's be professional on that. Most noobs aren't pure spammers by the way.

You're delusional.

I am the third alt of Jet Cash, and all of us managed to get a few merits within the first 20 posts. I am the only alt that admitted my parentage at the time of birth.

In the Bitcoin Talk forum, it isn't who you know, or what your rank is that earns the merits, it's what you say, and how you behave. That is how it is, and how it should be. [...]

You could be theymos himself, but with this post history, satoshi would get out of his grave to permaban you.

The new rule introduced is really not cool. Why only newbies and Jr Members has to suffer each and every time? So before merit system people who are legendary right now, got into that position by their quality of post ? No right? They might have spammed too to get into member,Hero member and legendary. So why no action on them ?

Moreover being a newbie or Jr Member if someone post a constructively no one bats an eye here to give merit. But being a hero member or legendary member when someone posts everyone loses their mind and someone gonna merit it.Sad truth.I am just saying the reality of Bitcointalk right now, just posting on behalf of all my fellow Newbies and Jr Members.Hope the justice is served.

Last thing let's start with a polling mechanism here before you guys take any random decisions like this and ask participants to adhere on it,if bitcoin is decentralized why not Bitcointalk ?

Any thoughts on this?
