over time, a lot of coins will disappear

That's what happened in 2017 bull run also. There were many coins which were in top 10 in 2017 but those are not avaible in 2021.
Only the good projects coins will survive long term while rest of the coins will just disappear as no one will buy the shitcoins and there will no demand for them.

Indeed, all investors from those shitcoins turn away because of the long bearish market of altcoins. Fears of missing in out made them out of control of their anxiety, that's why a good project turns out to be shitcoins nowadays. Hopefully, what happened last 2017 will be back this year and so on and new waves of productive project will come our ways then earn more lucky profit soon.

In reality, Some team member of well known project is jumping to the new project with same goal especially on blockchain base project that's some old project become stagnant in development because they are having hard time on project funds and developer. Some project are already but they just keep running the campaign slowly so that investors will not sue them for abandoning the project.

#4 would be affected by the other factors you mentioned in the list.
It would be in demand if there's such plentiful use to it, OP.
Sadly many coins just tend to be for quick $$$, but it ain't for longer term and in the end it is still okay as there would be still top coins to be hodled at.

Too many coin in circulation
You have seen nothing yet...

It does not matter if there are many coins in circulation. The coins which are made to scam or get people's money won't survive for long but with every passing day the number of altcoins will continue to increase. For trader, this is good as it give more options and opportunity to trade and gain money. Also this means that the marketcap of crypto will continue to increase as more and more altcoins come into circulation.

Why still investing on new coins? what is the actual intention of those investors?
New traders in the market means new meat for the scammers to feed on. They continue the ICO/IEO scams to DeFi after it boomed. They want to keep the newbies in the dark so they can never discover the reality of what the ICO market was - nothing but a pump and dump followed by a failure.

They invest to make money in short term so the chance of survival of those projects are very less even if they are more than good enough. So simply wait until the project becomes old then analyze all those points you mentioned.
Mainstream markets cannot be compared with the crypto markets. The latter is nowhere near them. These points are useful for making a nice looking post but in reality nothing can be used to compare the efficacy of a new project in the market - most of the time it has been a gamble and one in which the odds are highly against you.

Still do not get it why some people have to peer into altcoins coming new when we already have well known altcoins or Bitcoin.

Even the whitest whitepaper could go wrong.
There are good projects before but lack support.
A lot of times they are marketing but it's just not much inviting.
That's also one of the problems in this crypto industry. Sometimes you will need a bump from known people or hype from the mass just to go above that softcap and bring light to the project.

Also, most of the altcoins now are a repeat of what ICO projects had done. They just didn't get that much attention before, unlike now there's a higher chance.

5.market capitalization and founders holding

And the total team members allocation. This should be considered.
But you didn't suggest how many percentage of hodling is good for the founders to be a guide to investors.

I think exchange can make up for number 7. It is a serious business to list a coin in reputable exchange. That creates fast volume for the project.
It's better for any project if founders or team hodl the lowest allocation than other allocations. Also, we need to keep uptodate with the vesting period of team/founders tokens as many projects which was entered into crypto industry back in 2017/18, are going to unlock the team or founder toknens. So we must be aware of those projects as bull market is going on and none knows when will those tokens will be liquidated into this current bull market by the team or founders.

Also, reputable exchanges are good for any altcoins and we need to be aware of fake volumes or bot trading as many exchanges use bot trading to keep in the top list as most of the exchanges are listed on top postion according to trading volumes.

Everything you write down is based on the reality that is happening in the market today. and on average the existing coins have almost the same technology and goals, namely to provide convenience to its users. however, not all projects have the same goals as they are intended. so if we want to invest we should be more careful

That's the odd for the new projects even if they offer good services, people thinks only for their short term goals and didn't bother to look for the future of that project. We should always welcome new projects but don't trust them easily, just pick a good project and work on it for long term you'll see how good they are. Too many altcoins in the market, that's fine because not all of them are good very few succeed over time because they have a great community and they work as a team.

To be precise, when a new coin is released, it will only last for a short time, depending on how after initial funding the project manager can attract new investors who are much more capable of making large-scale donations. investing money in new coins is always a target just because it chases the initial price. but a coin that has the potential to DYOR is like an escape. ICO and IDO hunters only have two options to hold or release, depending on the future popularity of the coin.

Well, I would say that it is a good thing for us to find the coin from that many coins at the market. We can get more than 5 coins that can help us make a big profit, but we need to find it by analyzing the coin before we can profit from that coin. It is not an easy task because we do not know which coin has that potential. Top 100 will not guarantee that the coin can increase in the short-term or long-term, which will need more research to find the right coin. That will be worth analyzing one by one of the coin because the profit we can make will be bigger.

These matters when you are buying and holding a coin for long period of time. There maybe any number of coins, but you are going to make a long term investment in just a few and for that, you go along question every of those points. But if you are here to profit with the fluctuations of the market, jumping in with the herd sometimes might be better idea than to think.

There will always be new coins come to the market but at the same time we can't deny that more and more coins also dead. Basically, that depends on the calculation about how much coin that being issued everyday compared with the coins turned into the dead coins.
About the fundamental analysis to pick the best one from so many coins in the market and you can even eliminate all of your questions when it comes to the legit coin.
Remember about the top coins can't achieve it when it has very bad development, team and etc.

These days people care about what VC or big companies that already built cooperation with the project.

Yes, that's right, because sometimes we have to look in the mirror and see a coin that Jackson Palmer thought was a joke, has survived until now. For example, maybe everyone is familiar with DogeCoin. Even though in 2013 this coin was made based on a joke, today we see its unexpected potential, with a market cap of billions of dollars. (The DogeCoin story that I read https://coinmarketcap.com/alexandria/article/dogecoin-a-stunning-surge-a-crushing-blow-a-surprise-comeback)

I agree that points 1-6 are important, but big investor interest doesn't always lead to it. even big investors are looking for dead coins and reviving them.

The main reason why there are alot of coins in the market is there are many companies opened their own project and trying their best to make their own coins to build their own future, thus there are many coins, or digital coin's in the market, those digital coins is sometimes the reason why the price of other coins goes down.

today coins are now verified and people are checking if it has the purpose to the community, back in 2017 there are lots of coins being created daily out of nothing, today its is a bit controlled because once the community checks its fake or scam, it will not be launch since the people will ignore it, so what i can say is that coins now are fewer than before.

The following factors could also serve as guideline to selecting the right coin to invest in:
1. How useful the coin is:
2.is the purpose of the coin legit
3.Analyze its competitiveness
4.Demand and supply
5.market capitalization and founders holding
6.the general value
You are talking about altcoins, not bitcoin.  Smiley

With altcoins, they need to have four years in the market in minimum to show that they are not money-making tool for their developers. After four years, you can say their developers don't abandon projects after making money from their coins.

If you are in the market in 2017, you will see the same pattern in 2020 and 2021, coins and tokens are launched with many promises for evolution for blockchain technology, for brighter future of the society, many strong claims about their competitiveness. Next 2 or 3 years, you will see how their promises turn to be in reality.

8. Even if points 1-6 looks legit it does not mean the coin is cheap and is worth investment today (when most of alts already did 5-50x).
I will consider to invest into some of them in 2022 or 2023.

There are too many factors to look at. Even projects which are proudly proclaiming to be better than Bitcoin or Ethereum are not even reaching the kind of success that Bitcoin and Ethereum achieved.

Other projects are not even that technologically better but are the ones which have earned the trust of investors.

Ripple is not decentralized but it has been at the top for a long time. Dogecoin was merely a meme coin and yet it has maintained a nice spot at the top. Tron is just a copycat of prior projects but it enjoys the support of some. These are just some examples.
