Be very careful with the ICO's. I've lost a great deal by getting caught up in the HYPE on some of these projects. The best thing you can do is find a project in an area that you know something about already and then do your own research into their platform. Also, if you can find a project that you have the skills or knowledge which you could contribute to its success, that's an ultimate opportunity for you.

Do not you think negatively about all the ICOs that exist, because all the ICOs are not as bad as you think, from what I see, the ICO project is great, but it all depends on your own research, how do you look into ensuring that the ICO Project is very good , if you are really very disappointed with all ICO, you should invest with Altcoin already listed in the market, because it will not make you disappointed to invest.

I'm just start into Crypto about 1 month, as people, i'm looking for a good ICO to invest with a dream that it will sucess and bring me some profit. But there is a lot of ICO incoming, some sound very good like HXT, Storm, Cryptaur or Electroneum. I'm really lost in those, i tried to do some research like people such as: their white paper, roadmap, v.v.. but i can't not found what is the best for me to start. Can you guys give me some advice or some trick to do a research.

Thank you.

1)When it comes to investing in an ICO, it is important to identify the key features of a project that make it different from the others in their approach or an ideal factor which strikes at once to invest in it.
2)Another thing to keep in mind evaluating an ICO is whether or not the developers are offering a bonus for early investors. The bonus can be any reward form varying from projects to projects.
3) A strong team also get the benefit so always look for it.

All ICOs are money grab schemes.
Cloned coins with "white papers" full of blabla and promises that are never kept. Go and research coins that have good distribution and new technical features, those are your best bet.

The first question I ask is there a real market for this ICO the would I use it. After that check white paper and see if the information given can be verified.

First of all, you need to keep your head clear. Now ICO is really very much. Be sure to think twice about investing. If you look at a project. It must be investigated in many ways. For example, the organization of the team members. Does the team have a landing?. Is there a big prospect for the project?. Don't just look at the white paper. You need to look at other reviews on the web. All that's going on is money. Please be careful.

If you don't know how to research ICO or confuse which ICO to invest, follow ian balina on Twitter, invest on what he invest in. Follow his teaching to the core, and you will reap good profit. Thanks

A few ICO's and whitepapers I really like and purchased recently are http://www.protexproject.io/ & https://powerledger.io/ . They have great whitepapers, strong team, huge market, and awesome ideas! Hope this helped Cheesy

I agree with all the above, you need to be careful, and choose sectors that you believe can be transformed over the long term not only by blockchain, but by changes in the fundamentals of the underlying industries. I believe these sectors are primarily healthcare, recycling and energy, due to the deregulation and change in the role and influence of governments - i.e. deregulation and decentralisation through blockchain at the same time in the energy space.

Powerledger is absolutely in the right sphere - nevertheless, I think the structure of their ICO with an issuance of tokens irrespective of amount raised and hence a massive dilution of ICO participants is a recipe for disaster for everyone except themselves. Nevertheless their idea is great, but their Australian and New Zealand focus is not where the huge upside is, but rather in Europe as state owned utilities are forced to change and open markets.

Have a look at Prosume Energy - unbelievable team (including advisors from Ernst and Young and sovereign wealth funds), and real blockchain experience from people who have been in the community since inception pretty much, as well as seasoned energy professionals.

Thank you Hughcrypto - that makes a lot of sense, I am completely new to this space and want to get involved - thinking about amount of issuance was not even on my radar. The idees of government changes in such a big market such as energy make total sense. Will have a look at Prosume.

ICO's definitely carry some risk. But the key is to become familiar with whitepapers and what to look for Good & Bad! I keep 75% of everything in btc because its the safest and that leaves me 25% to make higher risk/higher reward purchases. The most important thing in analyzing ICO is knowing the team founder more in. Is it they are well known in the blockchain community and it is they already have achievement. Also find and look for other review in some Youtube channel are expert in analyzing the cryptocurrency market. This way will help to find good ICO.

In all honesty mate I fully agree with you in that it can be ridiculously confusing when looking through all of these new companys starting up and issuing ICOs and, obviously, nobody wants to be the guy that all the horror stories are told about.

Maybe the best way to go about deciding, for you, would be to pick an ICO which you are most interested in. For example, if you're a fan of football or something then looking for one which is going to be adding something to the sports industry.

The reason I say to stick to your interestes for the beginning is you already have knowledge in that field so it will be easier for you to see through any BS that the ICO may be trying to spew and it will also make it a lot easier for you to see which ICOs have a solid plan and which ones are less likely to succeed.

Personally I am involved with music so the music ones were my first port and call but, to be honest, I didn't think they were really offering much and noticed many had the same pitfalls but, by looking at ones in the field I am in, I was able to see which tricks etc to look out for.

Hope this helps mate.

Thanks bro, look like i need to start with something in sport or engineering field Smiley)

Since you are newbie you should find those big ICO's who have a great project tagged on there team and you should find out first there background and read carefully unto there whitepaper so that you can find that this ICO is a huge project. And don't just go on those appealing ICO since some of them are scam and made there coin name more attractive just to gather more victims to invest on there scam project.
