It was the Bitcointalk forum that inspired us to create Bitcointalksearch.org - Bitcointalk is an excellent site that should be the default page for anybody dealing in cryptocurrency, since it is a virtual gold-mine of data. However, our experience and user feedback led us create our site; Bitcointalk's search is slow, and difficult to get the results you need, because you need to log in first to find anything useful - furthermore, there are rate limiters for their search functionality.
The aim of our project is to create a faster website that yields more results and faster without having to create an account and eliminate the need to log in - your personal data, therefore, will never be in jeopardy since we are not asking for any of your data and you don't need to provide them to use our site with all of its capabilities.
We created this website with the sole purpose of users being able to search quickly and efficiently in the field of cryptocurrency so they will have access to the latest and most accurate information and thereby assisting the crypto-community at large.

Do you think, apart from the users in the list (OP), there might be other new merit hoarders who may have appeared sine the last update? It's possible. The original list was created in January 2019. A lot of time has passed since and many new accounts have been created in the meantime. I am positive that some of them have never shared a single merit, but I also don't think there is a whole lot of them. I have any useful knowledge with scraping or collecting data. Maybe I could have helped If you think you can shed some more light on the matter, by all means, do what you do and let's see what you can come up with. I think I went through the accounts manually back when I created this thread and it was quite time consuming. August 09, 2022, 04:55:45 PM
I might as well check out if any of the merit hoarders gave anyone any merits since my last update. I will put it on my to-do list. I think Proudhon gave me a merit This statement made me laugh more than I should have. Maybe wrong dosage of my medication. Unless my memory is really fuckedup . Since the thread got bumped, I might as well check out if any of the merit hoarders gave anyone any merits since my last update. I will put it on my to-do list. August 09, 2022, 05:38:04 AM
realr0ach is currently a silver bug (he prefers silver over gold) who thinks cryptocurrency as a whole is a bunch of crap. Lately, he hangs out in the WO thread. I doubt that he will ever give out any merit to anyone. You'd have better luck getting a merit out of Proudhon. I think Proudhon gave me a merit Unless my memory is really fuckedup . I decided to take another look at this thread to see if anything changed, and there have been some changes.
Plutosky is now actively participating in the merit distribution system. I have removed him from OP. dgcarlosleon sent one merit in December 2020 which takes him off the list as well. goatpig sent a 50 merit transaction, so he is removed. Shawshank took some time and sent 2 merits to other accounts. vh has sent 27 merits. kschneezy is no longer active, but he took part in the merit distribution during 2019. miramare got banned, but sent no merits while he was still active. Febo distributes merits from time to time and is off the list. Wingzcrypto2018 sent 2 merits, got banned in the meantime, but that still takes him off the list. kschneezy has also sent a plenty of merits in the meantime and is off the list. strawbs is now an active participant in the merit distribution and his name has been removed from the list as well. Cheap bastards!
theymos should distribute their sMerit to merit sources. January 14, 2020, 01:43:41 PM
I checked the first user on your list, and he has sent Merit recently. I'd like to make full list now Sidehack has sent merit more then one time. January 14, 2020, 07:57:48 AM
If I remember correctly: in total, 600k sMerit was airdropped. That's slightly more than has been transfered since the introduction of Merit. Yes, you remembered correctlyAnyone knows how many sMerits have been distributed to existing members? About 600k.January 14, 2020, 07:01:01 AM
They are not public, I know, but were those sMerits a trivial function of member rank/activity? There's this:The exact formula was: But: based on this, I should have received 400 sMerit. I only got 200.Code: yearActivity = activity in the last ~year, max 378 freeMerit = the merit (not sMerit) you started with modifier = 0.1 if member 0.2 if full member 0.25 if sr member 0.35 if hero 0.4 if legendary return (yearActivity/378) * modifier * freeMerit So the most you could get is if you were a Legendary who maxed out your activity points in the last year, in which case you would get 1 * 0.4 * 1000 = 400 sMerit. Note that I later made an adjustment giving 500 extra merit to some hero members, but no extra sMerit was given here. I'll probably publish a dump of the initial sMerit at some point. What I really think it would be interesting is a list of sMerits hodler where the output is a chart sorted for: I can make this, but I think you meant airdropped sMerit, and those aren't published.Code: Received Merits/2+ Airdropped Merits-Merits sent. Correct, airdropped sMerits (or (Received Merits+ Airdropped Merits)/2-Merits sent) They are not public, I know, but were those sMerits a trivial function of member rank/activity? Sorry, I was not present at those times, so I might be wrong here. January 14, 2020, 06:52:52 AM
